Crown King Hot Gods & King Link Slot Review
Crimson velvet, drawn back like a theatre curtain and dusted with gold glints at the corners, is the first thing you see. A heavy gold rope frame boxes the reels, scrolled flourishes clamped at each corner, and a winged blue-and-gold logo announces Gods & Kings above a small red badge reading LINKED TO BELL LINK.
Underneath the gilt, Crown King Hot Gods & King Link from EGT Digital is an old-fashioned fruit slot with a jackpot ladder bolted to its side. It runs on a 5×3 grid with 25 paylines, doubling to 50 at the top denominations, and no RTP is published, so there’s nothing to quote. What it does have is a collection bonus where the crown does the heavy lifting. The velvet is the show; the fruit is the game.
Base Game & Features
The base game is a straight five-reel, three-row setup. Wins pay left to right across the 25 lines.
The Wild appears on the second, third, fourth and fifth reels and substitutes for all symbols on the same reel, except the GRAND and MAJOR symbols. It’s a clean substitution rule with no multipliers of its own attached.
The Red 7 pays as follows:
- Five of a kind: 3,000.00
- Four of a kind: 800.00
- Three of a kind: 80.00
- Two of a kind: 40.00
Multiplier Feature
Fruit clusters pay again through the Multiplier Feature. Land enough of the low fruit at once and your payline winnings are multiplied, with only the highest multiplier applied to a win:
- 15 of a kind from plum, orange, lemon or cherry across all reels: x5
- 12 of a kind on reels one to four: x4
- 9 of a kind on reels one to three: x3
It’s a busy rule for a fruit slot, and it’s the one mechanic in the base game that rewards filling the screen rather than lining up a single row.
Jackpot Symbols and the Bell Link Ladder
The game contributes to and can win any level of the Bell Link progressive series, a multi-denomination jackpot with four tiers. GRAND and MAJOR are progressive; MINOR and MINI are fixed. Four special symbols drive the ladder:
- GRAND symbol: three anywhere on screen award the GRAND level immediately. Can appear up to three times per base game or Jackpot Feature.
- MAJOR symbol: a single one pays the MAJOR level straight away. Appears only once per base game or Jackpot Feature, and GRAND and MAJOR can’t both be won in the same round.
- MINOR symbol: awards the MINOR level once the Jackpot Feature ends; can land multiple times.
- MINI symbol: pays the MINI level at the same point, and can also land multiple times.
- Coin/Amount symbol: carries a value from 1 to 100 times the total bet, paid at the end of the Jackpot Feature. Can appear multiple times.
The GRAND’s three-symbol instant award is the top of the ladder, and everything else queues up for the feature round to settle.
Gamble Feature
Any win of 750.00 credits or less can be gambled. Tap x2, pick red or black, and a correct call doubles the gamble amount while a wrong one loses it and ends the game.
There’s a limit of five attempts, and the gamble isn’t available after a progressive jackpot win. It’s the classic EGT card flip, unchanged.
Crown King Hot Gods & King Link: Gods & Kings Free Spins
The Gods & Kings Free Spins round is where the collection symbols all cash out. The trigger is a count: if the total number of GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR, MINI and coin symbols on screen after a base game spin reaches five or more, the feature starts with three free spins.
Every jackpot and coin symbol that lands stays in position until the round ends. Each new symbol resets the remaining free spins back to three, which is the mechanic that lets a round snowball. The round ends when the spin counter hits zero or the whole screen fills with jackpot and coin symbols.
The matrix the round plays on depends on the Reels Boost symbol, which can appear once per base game and activates the boosted version when it’s present in the triggering game:
- With Reels Boost: played on a 4×5 matrix. A full screen of 20 coin symbols multiplies all visible prizes by x4; 15 to 19 coin symbols multiplies by x2. MAJOR and GRAND prizes are excluded from the multiplier.
- Without Reels Boost: the round shrinks to a 3×5 matrix, where a full screen of 15 coin symbols multiplies visible prizes by x2, again excluding MAJOR and GRAND.
Two end-of-round rules sweeten the finish. If fewer than three GRAND symbols are on screen when the round ends, they transform into GRAND symbols carrying random amounts of 50 or 100 times the total bet.
The Reels Boost symbol itself converts into a coin worth 10 times the total bet. The round plays at the triggering bet throughout.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
Crown King Hot Gods & King Link plays like two games sharing one cabinet. The base game is a fruit slot with a wild and a card gamble. Everything interesting happens once five jackpot or coin symbols gather and the hold-and-collect round takes over.
The strength is that round’s reset rule. Because every new symbol returns the spin counter to three, a hot streak can keep the feature alive far longer than three spins suggests, and the boosted matrix’s x4 full-screen multiplier gives the long build a proper payoff. The end-of-round conversions, GRAND symbols fattening to 50 or 100 times the bet and the Reels Boost cashing out at 10x, mean the finish is never a dead landing.
The weakness is that with no RTP published, the arithmetic stays hidden. This one suits fruit-machine traditionalists and jackpot hunters who like a collection round that resets. Anyone chasing a published return should look elsewhere. The gods keep their books closed, but the gold rope frame still catches the eye.
