Double Joker – Power Poker Slot Review
Most games use wild symbols to sell you a dream; Double Joker – Power Poker uses its two Jokers to withhold one. They can build nearly every hand in the paytable except the Natural Royal Flush that pays 800x, and that single refusal is what the whole game turns on: the wilds create hands no ordinary deck can deal, then leave the biggest prize to the cards alone. Flip Five Gaming have wrapped it all in a blue neon glow and kept everything else out of the way.
Each hand deals five cards from a 54-card deck with the Jokers wild, and you can play one, four, ten or fifty hands at a time. Bets run from 0.25 to 25.00, volatility is low, and the return sits at 98.10% with five coins in play. The ceiling is a Natural Royal Flush at 800x your stake. The Jokers are what tip the deck.
Playing a Hand
Every game starts with a decision hand: five cards dealt face up, and you choose which to hold. In the multi-hand versions, the cards you hold are copied into the same position across all of your play hands, then each hand draws its own replacements from its own full 54-card deck. A fresh shuffle happens before every game.
During the draw, the decision hand is greyed out and the cards you released sit face down while the replacements land. For the single-hand version, held cards are simply marked and the rest are replaced from the deck. One win is paid per hand, and if a hand qualifies for more than one ranking, the higher one counts.
You can switch between one, four, ten and fifty hands whenever you like, just not mid-hand. Fifty hands is where Power Poker earns its name: one set of holds, fifty simultaneous results, and a paytable that lights up across the board when the held cards are good ones.
The Jokers are wild for every hand except a Natural Royal Flush, which they can’t complete. That single restriction shapes the whole paytable: Five of a Kind exists here precisely because the wilds make it possible, while the biggest prize stays reserved for the unaided Ace-high straight flush.
Hand Rankings and Payouts
Payouts scale with your coin count, and the values below are multiples of your total bet at five coins per hand, which is where the game pays its best. Hand rankings run from the top of the table down:
- Natural Royal Flush: 800x
- Joker Royal Flush: 100x
- Five of a Kind: 50x
- Straight Flush: 25x
- Four of a Kind: 8x
- Full House: 5x
- Flush: 4x
- Straight: 3x
- Three of a Kind: 2x
- Two Pair: 1x
A couple of definitions are worth spelling out. A Joker Royal Flush is an Ace-high suited run with one or more cards replaced by a wild, and it pays one-eighth of the Natural’s prize. Five of a Kind is four cards of a denomination plus a wild, and it’s a hand no ordinary deck can deal.
Drop below five coins and the return falls with you: 97.44% at one or two coins, 97.81% at three, 97.99% at four, 98.10% at five. Playing max coins isn’t a style choice here, it’s where the value sits, and the gap between one coin and five is wide enough to matter over a long session.
Small hands pay tiny amounts, the middle tiers climb gently, and everything above Four of a Kind is a rare event. A Joker Royal Flush is the realistic dream hand; the Natural is the one that pays 800x and almost never arrives.
Doubling and Quick Deal
Doubling
Any win can be gambled. Pick a card from the spread, and if it beats the dealer’s card, your win doubles. A tie leaves the win as it was, and you can collect or go again. Pick lower and the doubling ends with nothing banked from that streak.
You can keep doubling until you pick a loser or hit the casino’s doubling limit, and there’s a casino-side activation limit above which wins can’t be doubled at all. Doubling has to be switched on first: it lives in the menu, under Settings, and stays off until you enable it.
One detail worth knowing: if you close the game or drop connection before choosing a card, no card is picked for you. Return to the game and you’re back at the same doubling decision, win intact.
Quick Deal
Quick Deal, also in Settings, simply speeds up the reveal. It doesn’t influence the result of any hand, it just stops the cards taking their time, and it may not be available in every build. On fifty hands, it’s the first setting worth finding.
Building Your Bet
Your total bet is the coin count times the coin size times the number of hands, so the same 25.00 top stake can mean five fat coins on a single hand or a thin spread across fifty. Coins step from one to five, and the Bet Max button jumps straight to five coins at your current coin size. Wins are shown in credits, which is the coins won multiplied by your coin size.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.6/10
This is a game of small, constant decisions played out in blue neon: deal, hold, draw, repeat, with a Joker turning up often enough to keep every choice interesting. The reason to pick it over a reel game is that the hold buttons actually matter, and a session of good holds and bad ones will not end in the same place.
The strength is the maths: 98.10% at five coins is as good as online casino returns get, and the game is upfront about exactly what earns it. The weakness is everything between the wins. Below the rare top hands, the paytable is flat and the ceiling of 800x is a distant one, so long stretches pass with nothing but Two Pair money.
It suits players who enjoy the puzzle of the hold and would rather have the return than the drama. Feature chasers will find no bonus rounds here, just cards well dealt under a steady glow.
