Dynamite Digger Eureka Slot Review
A heavy timber frame marks the mouth of a gold mine, rope lashings binding its iron-studded posts and rail tracks running out across the platform towards grey rock pillars flecked with glowing ore. Dynamite Digger Eureka commits fully to the gold-rush picture book, and the hand-drawn artwork is warmer and more painted than most bigger-budget slots manage.
Eyecon have built it on a 5×4 grid with 25 paylines, cascading reels and a choice of two bonus rounds. The RTP is 95.300%, and the top prize is 10,000x the total wager. It sits alongside Fluffy Favourites and Shaman’s Dream in their catalogue, sharing the same fondness for a straightforward spin brightened by one good idea – here, you pick which bonus round you’d rather have.
Base Game and Paytable
Wins pay left to right across the 25 fixed paylines, with the line win multiplied by the wager per payline and only the highest combination on each line counting. Wins on different lines are added together. That’s the whole of the base structure: no ways mechanics, no clusters, just straight lines.
The reels carry a miner-heavy symbol set. There’s no wild in this game; the only special symbol is the scattered Bonus, which does the feature triggering and nothing else. The rest of the board is mining kit and royals, and they pay as multiples of the total bet:
- Miner – 75x, 375x, 625x and 12,500x for two, three, four and five of a kind
- Mine Cart – 50x, 250x, 500x and 6,250x
- Pickaxe – 187.5x, 375x and 2,500x for three, four and five
- Dynamite Crate – 150x, 250x and 1,875x
- Lantern – 125x, 187.5x and 500x
- Dynamite Stick – 100x, 150x and 312.5x
- A – 87.5x, 137.5x and 187.5x
- K – 75x, 100x and 125x
- Q – 62.5x, 75x and 100x
- J – 50x, 62.5x and 75x
The Miner stands well clear of the table below him, and he and the Mine Cart are the only symbols that pay for two of a kind. Everything above the royals is mining-themed, which at least keeps the board looking like one world rather than two.
The royals fill out the bottom of the table in the usual way, and with payouts that flat they’re mostly there to feed the cascades. Wins are frequent but small in that region, which is what keeps the chain reactions coming.
Cascades
Every line win sets off a cascade. All symbols involved in the win explode and disappear, and replacements drop in from above. If the new arrangement forms another win, it cascades again, and the chain only stops when no more line wins land.
Each win in the chain is paid and added to the running total before the replacements settle, so a long chain reads as one steadily climbing figure rather than a series of separate results. There’s no limit to how far a run can go.
The mechanic also matters to the bonus trigger: the Feature Selector only counts Bonus symbols once the cascades have finished settling, which means scatter positions can shift – or appear – as symbols fall. A spin that looks dead on the initial drop can still land its third scatter mid-chain.
The Feature Selector
Land three or more scattered Bonus symbols anywhere on the board, after cascades have stopped, and you’re given a choice rather than a round. The number of triggering scatters sets the size of both options:
- 3 Bonus symbols – 15 Free Games, or the Mine Cart feature
- 4 Bonus symbols – 20 Free Games, or Mine Cart with prizes x2
- 5 Bonus symbols – 25 Free Games, or Mine Cart with prizes x5
Free Games
The free spins option runs on the same paylines and wager as the triggering spin. Each free game starts with the win multiplier at x1, and every cascade within a spin bumps it up a fixed ladder: 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25. The multiplier applies to line wins only, never to scatter wins, and it resets to x1 at the start of each free game rather than carrying over.
In practice that means a free game opens at x1, the first cascade pays at x2, the next at x3, and the ladder keeps stepping through 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 for as long as the chain holds. Because the count resets with every free game, a big opening win doesn’t inflate the spins that follow – each one has to build its own run from the bottom.
Free Games can be retriggered, up to a maximum of 15 times. That cap is generous by any standard, and it’s the reason the free spins pick can outperform a single Mine Cart payout: a long run of cascades at the top of the multiplier ladder, extended by retriggers, has no fixed prize ceiling the way the cart does.
Mine Cart Feature
The alternative is a pick-your-way descent. There are 12 levels; at each one you select one of three tunnels, and the choice either awards a prize or advances you to the next level. The feature ends the moment a prize is awarded, so every tunnel you survive pushes the potential payout higher.
The prize ranges depend on how many Bonus symbols triggered the selector:
- 3 Bonus symbols – minimum prize 5x the total wager, maximum 10,000x
- 4 Bonus symbols – minimum prize 10x the total wager, maximum 10,000x
- 5 Bonus symbols – minimum prize 25x the total wager, maximum 10,000x
Note what the x2 and x5 boosts from four and five scatters actually do: they raise the floor, not the ceiling. The 10,000x maximum prize is the same at every trigger level, so extra scatters buy you insurance rather than ambition.
The structure rewards nerve. A player who banks an early prize at level two walks away with a small multiple; the deeper levels are where the meaningful money sits, and reaching them means passing up several guaranteed-outs on the way down.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
The base game is honest Eyecon work: clean lines, cheerful artwork and cascades that give every win a second chance, though the Miner does most of the paying on his own.
The Feature Selector is the best thing here. Being handed a genuine choice, rather than watching the same round replay, changes how a bonus feels, and both options are properly distinct: Free Games for the long build with a multiplier ladder and up to 15 retriggers, Mine Cart for a single tense descent with a prize at the end. The cart’s fixed ceiling is the same however many scatters you land, which makes the five-scatter pick a closer call than it first appears, since only the floor rises.
There’s no wild to liven up the ordinary spins, and the return is a shade under what the bigger studios now standardly offer. Even so, anyone who enjoys a pick-a-path bonus and doesn’t need Megaways theatre will find this a likeable dig. The seams, in this case, are the whole point – you just have to choose which one to follow down.
