Enchanted Prince 2 Slot Review
Very few sequels give you less than the original, but Enchanted Prince 2 is one of them: Eyecon has taken a game famous for free games that never stopped stacking and put a hard ceiling on the stacking. What’s left is a calmer, prettier pond, running a 5×4 grid with 20 locked lines at 95.103% RTP, where one random wild feature carries the whole session.
The original pond-side favourite, Enchanted Prince, made its name on free games that stacked and stacked; this sequel keeps the round but caps the stacking. It sits in the same family tree as Fluffy Favourites and Unicorn Bliss. The prince, it seems, hasn’t wandered far from the water.
Base Game & Features
Spins play out across a 5×4 grid on 20 paylines, and the line count is locked: you can’t reduce it to soften the stake. Line wins pay left to right and are multiplied by the wager per payline, with only the highest combination counting on each selected line. Wins on different lines add together. Autoplay is available if you’d rather not press spin every time, with a loss limit you can set to end the session automatically.
Symbols & Pays
The paytable is classic fairytale fare, with the Princess out in front, the Castle behind her and the royals propping up the bottom. All values are multiples of the total bet:
- Princess – three pays 166.6667x, four 500x, five 1666.6667x
- Castle – three pays 133.3333x, four 333.3333x, five 833.3333x
- Red Gem/Heart – three pays 66.6667x, four 166.6667x, five 666.6667x
- Lotus Flower – three pays 66.6667x, four 166.6667x, five 666.6667x
- A / K – three pays 26.6667x, four 100x, five 333.3333x
- Q / J – three pays 13.3333x, four 66.6667x, five 250x
- 10 / 9 – three pays 6.6667x, four 33.3333x, five 166.6667x
- Scattered Rings – three pays 6.6667x, four 33.3333x
The drop from the Princess to the royals is steep. Five Princesses pay 1666.6667x the total bet, while five Aces or Kings pay 333.3333x and the nines and tens bottom out at 166.6667x, a tenth of the top prize. Two-of-a-kind starts don’t exist here either: every symbol needs three or more, left to right, before it pays anything at all.
The two mid-tier symbols, the Red Gem/Heart and the Lotus Flower, pay identically at every count, as do the paired royals either side of them. That leaves six distinct pay levels across the board, and the Princess and Castle alone account for the top two.
The Rings are also the scatter, and they only land on reels one, three and five. They pay anywhere rather than on a line: three Rings return 6.6667x the total bet, four return 33.3333x, and because they’re confined to three reels, four is the most you’ll ever see. The Wild substitutes for every symbol except the scattered Rings, and it only ever appears during the Hopping Wild Feature, so an ordinary spin never carries one.
Hopping Wild Feature
The Hopping Wild Feature occurs at random on any spin that doesn’t trigger the Free Games. It works in a fixed sequence, and each step matters:
- Between two and five random symbols on the grid, Rings included, are converted into Wilds
- The conversion happens before line wins are evaluated
- The number converted sets the multiplier on all wins: two symbols means x2, three means x3, four means x4, five means x5
- The feature is evaluated at the lines and bet per line of the triggering spin
The order of operations is what makes it work. Because the symbols convert before wins are counted, a converted Wild can complete a line that didn’t exist a moment earlier, and the multiplier then applies to everything the grid pays on that spin, not just to lines the Wilds helped finish.
It can trigger during the base game and during Free Games, which makes it the one thing in this game that can liven up any spin. Five converted symbols on a lucky grid turn modest line wins into something considerably bigger: a full Princess line under an x5 conversion would dwarf anything the base paytable hands out on its own.
Enchanted Prince 2 Bonus Features & Free Spins
Land three scattered Rings symbols anywhere on reels one, three and five and you’re awarded 10 Free Games. Since the Rings only appear on those three reels, every trigger needs all three of them to cooperate, and no others can stand in.
Once the round begins, the rules are straightforward:
- Free Games are played using the same paylines and wager as the triggering game
- The Hopping Wild Feature can trigger during Free Games
- Three more Rings during the round retrigger another 10 Free Games
- Retriggers are capped at a maximum of 15
With the Hopping Wild live throughout, the round is where the game’s biggest results sit: wilds converting across a grid of high symbols, with the multiplier attached, is the swing this pond can produce. There’s no decision to make once it starts, no mode to pick and no buy menu to shortcut it. The wager that triggered the round is the wager the whole round runs on, retriggers included.
The retrigger cap is the sequel’s quiet change of character. Where the original’s free games could grow into the hundreds from a single trigger, this round stops growing after 15 retriggers, so a hot run has a defined end. Fifteen retriggers at 10 games apiece is still up to 160 free games from one set of Rings, which is runway enough for most sessions.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.2/10
This is a slot you sit beside rather than play. Nothing happens between features, and the reason to choose it is exactly that: a pretty, unhurried pond where you wait for the wilds to hop and the Rings to surface, without a modifier shouting at you every spin.
The Hopping Wild is the best thing in it, because it can land on any spin in either mode and multiply everything the grid pays. That’s a real spike in a game this calm. The weakness is just as real: 95.103% is a thin return by any modern standard, and if the Rings stay underwater, there’s nothing else coming. One feature pair has to carry the whole session, and some nights it won’t.
Players who grew up on this style of slot will feel at home here; anyone chasing frequent features or a fuller bonus cupboard won’t. The pond is still lovely at dusk, and for the right player that’s reason enough to stay by the water.
