Fishin’ Pots of Gold Gold Blitz EXTREME Slot Review
A leprechaun in a purple top hat grins from a glowing portrait beside the reels, coins spilling from a tipped cauldron onto the riverbank grass. In Fishin’ Pots of Gold Gold Blitz EXTREME, he knows something you don’t yet: this is a game that rewards you for losing. Every Cash symbol that lands without a Collect symbol banks a token, growing four jackpots that keep their progress between sessions.
It’s the sharpest version of Gameburger Studios‘ formula yet: a 6×4 grid with 4,096 ways, 96.00% RTP, very high volatility, stakes from 0.20 to 50.00, and a 5,500x maximum win. Where Fishin’ Triple Pots of Gold and 12 Pots of Gold Drums kept Cash prizes modest, EXTREME lets Gold Blitz symbols run to 100x the stake. That one change is why this branch of the family is worth the bait.
Base Game & Features
Wins run left to right across 4,096 ways, and a way pays when matching symbols land adjacent on consecutive reels. Total bet is the initial bet multiplied by a way cost of 10, and way wins pay against that initial bet. If more than one winning combination lands on the same way, only the highest counts.
Wilds sit on reels 2 to 6 and substitute for everything except Scatters, Cash and Collect symbols. They don’t pay on their own.
The paytable, at initial bet multiples:
- Fish (rainbow trout): 1x for two, 1.4x for three, 2x for four, 2.6x for five, 5x for six
- Jewellery Case and Boots: 0.4x, 1x, 1.4x, 2x, 2.6x
- Hat/Green pendant and Butterfly: 0.2x, 0.8x, 1.2x, 1.4x, 2x
- A and K: 0.6x, 1x, 1.2x, 1.4x
- Q and J: 0.4x, 0.8x, 1x, 1.2x
- 10 and 9: 0.2x, 0.6x, 0.8x, 1x
Collect Feature
Cash symbols land on all six reels, carrying values from 0.2x up to 20x the total bet. Collect symbols land only on reels 1 and 6, and each one awards every Cash symbol on screen. Land one on each end reel at once and both pay.
Respin Feature
When Collect symbols land on reels 1 and 6 but no Cash symbols do, and the Bonus Choice isn’t triggered, you get one free respin. Reels 1 and 6 lock while reels 2 to 5 respin carrying only Cash symbols and blanks. At least one Cash symbol is guaranteed.
It can’t retrigger, and it only happens in the base game.
Rising Rewards Jackpot Feature
Every Cash symbol that lands without a Collect symbol banks a token, and tokens push the jackpot values upward. The more tokens a spin accumulates, the more jackpots rise:
- 1 token: 1 jackpot increased
- 2 to 5 tokens: 1 to 2 jackpots increased
- 6 to 15 tokens: 2 to 3 jackpots increased
- 16 to 24 tokens: 3 to 4 jackpots increased
Each rise adds 0.1x to 1x of the bet. The four tiers start and cap at:
- Mega: starts at 1,000x the bet, max 2,500x
- Major: starts at 100x, max 250x
- Minor: starts at 10x, max 50x
- Mini: starts at 5x, max 25x
Values scale with your bet. Accumulating tokens also grants a chance of triggering the Jackpot Feature, which awards between 8 and 18 Cash prizes between 0.2x and 20x plus one to four jackpots, and every prize revealed is paid.
Each jackpot can be awarded more than once in a round, resetting to its starting value after each hit. Grown values persist between sessions until they’re won. The Jackpot Feature and the Bonus Choice are mutually exclusive.
Rising Rewards Bonus Multiplier
2 Bonus Scatters on reels 1 to 5 without a trigger add 0.5x to the Bonus Multiplier meter, up to a 5x ceiling in the base game. The meter multiplies every win in Free Spins and Gold Blitz, then resets to 1x once the feature finishes.
On your return to the reels it may randomly climb a further 0.5x or 1x. As it climbs, though, the odds of triggering the feature drop with it.
Fishin’ Pots of Gold Gold Blitz EXTREME Bonus Features
Bonus Choice
Scatters pay anywhere on the reels, multiplied by total bet. 3 or more award a payout and a choice between two very different rounds:
- 3 Scatters: 8 Free Spins or 2 Gold Blitz spins
- 4 Scatters: 12 Free Spins or 3 Gold Blitz spins
- 5 Scatters: 20 Free Spins or 5 Gold Blitz spins
- 6 Scatters: 30 Free Spins or 7 Gold Blitz spins
Free Spins
The Free Spins round drops the Cash and Collect symbols along with the boots, case, bag and butterfly, and moves the Wilds to reels 2 to 4. Each Wild in a way win carries a random 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier for that way, and the Bonus Multiplier applies to the total of every spin.
Retriggers stack generously:
- 2 Scatters: 5 extra spins
- 3 Scatters: 8 extra spins
- 4 Scatters: 12 extra spins
- 5 Scatters: 20 extra spins
- 6 Scatters: 30 extra spins
Gold Blitz
Gold Blitz strips the reels down to Collect, Collect Retrigger, Retrigger and Cash symbols, with every other position blank. A Collect symbol is guaranteed on reel 1 every spin, so a win is guaranteed too.
The Collect Retrigger symbol on reel 6 pays all landed Cash symbols and adds a spin; the Retrigger symbol just adds a spin. The Bonus Multiplier applies throughout, and this is where the EXTREME shows: Cash symbols here reach 100x the bet, five times the base game ceiling.
Bonus Buy
The Bonus Buy triggers the Bonus Choice at your currently accrued multiplier level, and that multiplier applies to whichever round you pick. At a 1x multiplier the four tiers cost:
- 3 Scatters (8 Free Spins or 2 Gold Blitz spins): 30x bet
- 4 Scatters (12 Free Spins or 3 Gold Blitz spins): 50x bet
- 5 Scatters (20 Free Spins or 5 Gold Blitz spins): 80x bet
- 6 Scatters (30 Free Spins or 7 Gold Blitz spins): 120x bet
Pricing scales with the Bonus Multiplier, rounds play at your current bet, and buying carries its own 96.25% RTP. Some options may be unavailable above certain bet thresholds.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.8/10
Most of a session here is spent on the bank, casting. Wins land on fewer than three spins in ten, so the real business is what’s accumulating underwater: four jackpots that keep their growth between sessions, and a multiplier meter that climbs every time 2 Scatters tease without triggering. The one reason to pick this over its plainer siblings is that everything you don’t win is still doing something.
The Bonus Choice is the best thing in it, because the two rounds are genuinely different rather than two speeds of the same one. Free Spins stacks Wild multipliers on top of the meter you built; Gold Blitz guarantees a win every spin and pays the biggest Cash symbols in the family.
That’s a real decision, and the game respects it. But climbing the meter quietly lowers the odds of triggering the feature at all, so the game punishes exactly the patience it asks for. It suits the angler who enjoys the long build and banks the session for next time. Anyone wanting quick, frequent rounds will be bored before the first bonus lands. For the patient, this is the deepest pool in the series.
