Go High Fruit

Go High Fruit Slot Review

Two berry-laden trees crowd the edges of the screen, trunks streaked with molten gold, while an amber sunburst glows out from behind the logo and lights the whole orchard orange. Go High Fruit is a fruit slot that’s decided fruit slots should look expensive. It’s a strange argument to make with cherries and melons, but the candy-gold rendering carries it, and the white bezel floats between the trees like a lightbox pinned to the branches.

Underneath, it’s a RubyPlay build on a 5×4 grid with 50 paylines, built around a Prize symbol and a hold-and-respin round that can climb to eight rows. The top jackpot is the Grand at 1000x total bet. Everything else is structural: rows, lines, and a ladder.

Base Game & Features

The base game is a straightforward 50-line affair. Line wins pay left to right on adjacent reels, and only the highest combination on each line counts. Five symbols in view is where the pays top out, and the ladder descends gently from there.

The paytable, as multiples of total bet for three, four and five of a kind:

• Cherries: 0.5x / 2x / 5x
• Orange: 0.3x / 1x / 3x
• Grapes: 0.2x / 0.5x / 2x
• Watermelon, Raspberry, A: 0.1x / 0.3x / 1x
• K: 0.1x / 0.2x / 0.5x

It’s a flat ladder. The top symbol pays just 5x the stake for five of a kind, and three tiers of symbols share the same values, so the paytable isn’t where the money in this game lives. What the paytable does do is set the rhythm: small, regular line wins while you wait for the symbols that matter.

The Wild substitutes for all paytable symbols except the Prize and Scatter symbols, and it lands on reels two to four. Multiple wilds can appear on the same spin and combine on the same line, which is the one route to a decent base game hit.

The Scatter pays as part of the trigger rather than through the line system, so it doesn’t need a paytable row of its own. Three of them anywhere is enough to start the Free Games wheel; the symbols behind them are ordinary cherries, oranges and grapes, doing ordinary work.

Prize Symbols

Four or more Prize symbols appearing anywhere, in the base game or in Free Games, is the trigger that matters. Each Prize symbol carries a credit value from 1x up to 6x total bet, and during the Go High feature they can also carry jackpots.

The jackpot ladder, in total-bet multiples:

• Mini: 20x total bet
• Minor: 40x total bet
• Major: 200x total bet
• Grand: 1000x total bet

The Grand sits at 1000x your total bet and is the game’s top jackpot, won only through the Go High mechanic rather than the paytable. RubyPlay caps the overall maximum win at 4,873x. It’s the only place the jackpot symbols appear.

Go High Fruit Bonus Features & Free Spins

Free Games

Three or more Scatter symbols in the base game trigger Free Games. Before the round starts, a wheel spin determines two things at once:

• The number of Free Games, from five to fifteen
• A line multiplier, from x2 up to x20

The line multiplier applies to all line wins and to wins from three or more Scatters during the round. It doesn’t touch Prize symbols or the Go High feature, so the multiplier and the feature are separate economies. Every Prize symbol that lands during Free Games is awarded on the spot, in addition to any line wins.

Both wheel results travel together: a five-spin round can arrive with the x20, and a fifteen-spin round can arrive with the x2. Retriggers repeat the original package rather than re-rolling it, so a good first spin keeps its value for as long as Scatters keep landing.

The Go High Feature

Four or more Prize symbols anywhere trigger Go High, in the base game or in Free Games. The triggering symbols lock in place and the feature awards respins, with the locked symbols holding their positions throughout.

The grid is where it grows. Each row unlocks on a count of Prize symbols held in the open rows:

• 12 or more Prize symbols: row six unlocks
• 16 or more: row seven unlocks
• 20 or more: row eight unlocks

Each new row adds positions for more Prize symbols, and each new Prize symbol adds respins to keep the climb going. Prize symbols in the feature can carry the jackpots as well as their credit values, so a Grand can sit waiting on any position.

The round ends when no respins remain or every position is held. At that point the values shown on all the Prize symbols in the open rows are paid, and the grid returns to its original shape for the next spin. A full board is the ceiling of the feature, and with eight rows open there are a lot of positions to fill.

Buy Feature

There’s a buy button on the base game screen, priced at 50x total bet. That’s a steep entry relative to the credit values Prize symbols carry at their base level of 1x to 6x, and it only makes sense as a way of going straight after the Go High ladder. What happens after the buy is the same feature: locked symbols, respins, and rows that unlock on the same counts.

Our Honest Verdict

Overall Rating: 7/10

Go High Fruit is a game of one idea, and it’s a decent one. The paytable is flat to the point of irrelevance, and everything that matters happens in the Go High feature, where the grid grows and the jackpot ladder comes into play. The Free Games wheel gives the middle of the game a second thing to care about, and the retrigger rule, repeating the original spin count and multiplier, is more generous than it first sounds.

The climb is the strength: rows unlocking at 12, 16 and 20 symbols is a real progression, not a cosmetic one, and the Grand at 1000x total bet gives it a target worth chasing. The weakness is the money around it, with a line-pay ladder that never leaves the ground.

It suits players who like a hold-and-collect round with room to expand, and who don’t need the base game to entertain them between triggers. For anyone chasing big multipliers on the reels, the orchard will feel quiet. For those who like watching a grid grow, the gold-lit trees are worth a walk through.
