Gold Digger Clusterbuster Slot Review
Somewhere beneath the vault floor, a mole is working. The gold sits in neat rows overhead, shot from directly above like a security camera bolted to the ceiling, and he’s coming up through the middle of it.
Gold Digger Clusterbuster is a 9×9 cluster pays grid from Red Tiger, and the theming is simple enough to describe in a sentence: bank vault from above, mole from below.
RTP is 96.11% in its top configuration, though casinos can also run it at 95.09%, 93.19% or 91.21%. Volatility is very high, Red Tiger’s own public label of medium-high notwithstanding, and stakes run from 0.10 to 40.00 a spin.
It shares its central locked-tile block with Egypt Clusterbuster, and the digging angle puts it in the same seam as Dynamite Riches: The Mother Lode and Cash Explorer. What’s buried under the floor here is a 10,000x ceiling.
Base Game & Features
Wins are formed by groups of matching symbols landing next to each other rather than along lines, and nine reels by nine rows leaves plenty of room for them. Wilds substitute for all paying symbols. Hit frequency sits at 32.37%.

The Clusterbuster
A 3×3 block of locked tiles sits in the centre of the grid, inactive until winning clusters form alongside it. Each adjacent win breaks the outer tiles it touches.
Break every outer tile within a single spin and the Clusterbuster busts open, sending you into the Free Spins round. Broken parts reset at the start of each spin, so it has to happen in one go.
If three or fewer tiles are left standing, the Mole can turn up at random and break the rest himself.

Molehills and Trails
Two or more Molehills can appear at random on any spin, up to a maximum of five. Land the same symbol on two or more of them and a trail forms between them, swapping every symbol along the path to match and building clusters as it travels.
Molehills can also carry win multipliers, drawn from x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50 and x100. Every multiplier in play is added together and applied once all chain reactions have finished.
Mole Business covers the near miss. When Molehills land but no identical symbols arrive on them, the Mole may swap a symbol on one Molehill to match another and force a trail anyway.

Prize Diamonds and Chain Reactions
Prize Diamonds hold a random cash prize expressed as a stake multiplier, taken from 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 15x and 25x. If a trail runs through one, that prize is awarded before the symbol gets swapped.
Symbols that form wins disappear and new ones drop in behind them, which can produce further wins and further drops. There’s no limit on how many times that repeats within a spin.

Gold Digger Clusterbuster Free Spins
Busting the Clusterbuster awards 10 free spins. The round runs on the same mechanics as the base game, with one change that matters: multipliers won from Molehill trails stay active for the rest of the bonus rather than resetting each spin.
Breaking the Clusterbuster again during the round adds five more spins on top.

Feature Buy
Four purchase options are offered, three of them loading the base game rather than skipping it:
- Mole Trouble: two or more Molehills guaranteed on every spin
- Molefestation: three or more Molehills guaranteed on every spin
- Bonus Chase: the lower three Clusterbuster tiles start every spin already broken
- Free Spins: a guaranteed Clusterbuster bust, straight into the bonus round

Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.5/10
There’s action in the base game, and the sheer size of the grid means something is usually forming somewhere. It also dies off fast, going from busy to nothing in a handful of spins.
We bought our way in, and the free spins are a real progression rather than the base game with a counter attached. Watching the multiplier total climb from spin to spin is where the anticipation lives. Nothing in our session landed a wow moment, but there was plenty going on.
The 10,000x ceiling is competitive for a game this volatile, if a long way from probable. What it doesn’t do is feel new; the series formula has barely moved. Cluster pays regulars and existing Clusterbuster fans will get on with it. Anyone who wants win lines, reels and rows, or a genuinely fresh idea, should dig elsewhere.
The mole hasn’t reinvented the vault. He does know where the gold’s kept.
