Gold Fish Feeding Time Treasure Slot Review
Three glass fishbowls sit along the top of the screen, each holding one resident: a clownfish, a goldfish, a green fish. Below them the reef glows cartoon-bright, all coral fans and pale sand, with bubbles drifting up through blue water. Gold Fish Feeding Time Treasure is built so that the reels are the least important thing on screen; the whole game runs through those three bowls, and the spinning underneath is mostly how you wait for feeding time.
It’s a Light & Wonder build on a 5×4 grid, and it swims in the same waters as Reel ‘Em In! A Bit Fishy and Dancing Drums Tower. Stacked four-row fish, a jackpot ladder, and a feeding schedule that runs everything through three coloured bowls. Small fish, tall symbols, and a Grand at the end of it.
Reels, Fish Symbols and the Treasure Chest Wild
Wins pay left to right on consecutive reels from the far left, with only the highest combination paid per line and multiple line wins added together. Winnings pay per symbol, and the paytable reflects whatever bet you’ve set. Four symbol tiers make up the paying cast:
- Gold Fish – pays 0.50 for three, 1.25 for four and 2.50 for five
- Red/Green Feeder – pays 0.40, 0.75 and 1.50 for three, four and five
- Coral, Turtle, Net – pays 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 across the three matching counts
- A, K, Q, J – the royals, paying 0.10, 0.20 and 0.50
Those values are credits at the bet the paytable reflects, so they scale with your stake. The gap between the top of the tank and the bottom is modest: five Gold Fish pay five times what five royals do. A single top-symbol line won’t move much on its own; the money is in the stacking.
The Wild is a treasure chest, two rows tall, and it substitutes for everything except the Gold, Red and Green Feeder symbols. It pays at the same level as the Gold Fish, so it doubles as the richest symbol on the grid.
The feeders it can’t stand in for are the second tier down, which means the wild never completes the game’s most distinctive line. Everything else, from the turtle down to the jack, is wild territory.
The fish themselves are the unusual part. The Gold, Red and Green Fish symbols each cover four rows, so a single one fills an entire reel of the 5×4 layout. No more than two fish types can share the reels in any one spin, which caps how much stacked colour the grid can hold at once. When two do land together, the screen fills quickly.
It’s worth keeping the fish and the feeders straight, because the game treats them differently. The three fish are the stacked giants that dominate the reels; the feeder symbols are ordinary line-payers the wild refuses to substitute for.
Three Bowls and the Bonus Games
Three bonus bowls sit above the reels, one red, one gold, one green, and each is tied to its own bonus game. The bowl icons showing at the top of the screen are what set the round in motion, and the colour you see decides which of the single-colour games you get.
- Red Fish Bonus – the red bowl’s round
- Gold Fish Bonus – the gold bowl’s round
- Green Fish Bonus – the green bowl’s round
Those are the singles. Pair the colours up and the game has three more rounds above them, and it’s these that give the structure its steps:
- Red and Green Super Bonus – both colours live at once
- Green and Gold Super Bonus – the second pairing
- Extreme Bonus – the round that brings all the colours together
A Small Wild exists only inside those games. Like its bigger counterpart it substitutes for everything except the Feeder symbols, but it appears solely in the Green Fish Bonus, the two Super Bonuses and the Extreme Bonus. The base game and the other two singles make do without it.
That’s the clearest sign the combined rounds are meant to be the destination here, not a variation on the way to it.
Free Spins and the Jackpot Ladder
Free spins carry the round structure. Any of the bonus games may award free spins, and the free spins themselves award jackpots. The path from a bowl to the ladder runs through the bonus rounds, never straight off the base reels, so the banners that promise both are pointing at the same destination.
That ladder has four tiers, and it steps down steeply from the top:
- Grand – 1,000x the bet
- Major – 100x the bet
- Minor – 25x the bet
- Mini – 10x the bet
The Grand, at 1,000x the bet, tops the prize ladder. Each tier below it is a tenth of the one above, so the ladder rewards a precise landing rather than a generous slide. There’s no bonus buy, so everything routes through the bowls, and the banners above the reels keep the ladder in view while you wait.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing this is feeding an aquarium more than spinning it. The reels spin, the stacked fish fill a reel apiece, and occasionally two colours crowd the grid at once, but the reason anybody sits down here is the bowls: three colours, three pairings and an Extreme Bonus sitting above all of them, with a jackpot ladder waiting at the end. You’re collecting a route to a named round, and the game is honest about that.
The strength is the shape of that structure. Six distinct bonus games is a real ladder to climb, and the Small Wild being reserved for the top four of them means the higher rounds genuinely play differently, not just pay differently. The weakness is the floor: symbol pays are small across the board.
This is one for a patient collector who enjoys watching colours accumulate towards something named, and it will lose anyone who wants the base reels themselves to carry the session. For the fish it’s built around, feeding time earns its name.
