Joker Loot Base Game and Features

Joker Loot is a 5-reel slot with up to 3,215 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.

The minimum bet available here is £.€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€50 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. Joker Loot has a theoretical RTP of 95.95% and a max win cap of 12,000x.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Faberge Egg, followed by the Chalice, Necklace, Ring, and Pocket Watch. Low-paying symbols fall to Light Blue, Green, Red, Purple, and Blue Gems.

Cash Hop

During the base game, the Cash Hop symbol is presented on the left side of the reel set, starting at the top row and moving one position down per spin.

The Cash Hop symbol will start with a 10x Cash Value. As the Cash Hop symbol moves down with each spin, there is a chance of it being further increased with special Cash Boost and Multiplier Blank symbols.

Once the Cash Hop symbol reaches the bottom row, with the next spin, it will be reset back to the top row and continue down in the same way. The Cash Hop’s value can be indefinitely increased until the Looting Feature is triggered, which will then reset the starting value back to 10x.

Cash Boost Symbols

Cash Boost symbols appear across all reels in the base game only, revealing a random value of +1, +2, +3, +4, and +5. If a Cash Boost symbol lands in view, it will add its total value to the Cash Hop symbol and disappear from play, creating an empty position.

If a Cash Boost symbol lands on reel 1 and is aligned Horizontally with the Cash Hop symbol, it will trigger the Looting Feature after the Cash Hop symbols value has been increased.

Blank Symbols

Blank symbols are also present across the reels during the base game, Looting feature, and Free Spins round. Landing a Blank symbol on reel 1 that is aligned Horizontally with the Cash Hop symbol will cause the Blank symbol to explode, triggering the Looting Feature.

During the Looting Feature, aligning Blank symbols Horizontally to the Cash Hop symbol on consecutive Respins will progress the Cash Hop symbol’s position.

Multiplier Blank Symbols

In addition to Blank symbols, there are also Multiplier Blank symbols present on all reels during the base game, Looting feature, and Free Spins round. Multiplier Blank symbols carry a random Multiplier value of x2 and x3.

Landing a Multiplier Blank symbol on reel 1 that is aligned Horizontally to the Cash Hop symbol will cause the Multiplier Blank symbol to explode, revealing either a x2 or x3 Multiplier value, triggering the Looting Feature.

During the Looting Feature, the Cash Hop symbol can access the Multiplier Blank symbol’s position. When this happens, the Cash Hop symbol’s total value will be automatically multiplied by the Multiplier Blank symbol’s value.

Also during the Looting feature, aligning a Multiplier Blank symbol Horizontally to the Cash Hop symbol during consecutive Respins will progress the Cash Hop symbol’s position.

Wild Blast Symbol

Wild Blast symbols are present across all reels (except the leftmost reel) during the base game, Looting feature, and Free Spins round. Wilds substitute for all High and Low-paying symbols in the paytable.

Whenever a Wild Blast symbol is aligned Horizontally to the Cash Hop symbol, it will explode and create a path for the Cash Hop symbol.

Looting Feature

The Looting feature is triggered when a Blank, Multiplier Blank, or Cash Boost symbol lands Horizontally on the 1st reel with the Cash Hop symbol during the base game.

Once their actions have been performed, special symbols will disappear, creating an empty position that the Cash Hop symbol can access. Each successful move will grant +1 Respin. Any reel that is accompanied by the Cash Hop symbol will lock during the Respin.

The Cash Hop symbol can move 1 reel position per Respin, regardless of how many available positions have aligned Horizontally. If there are no available positions for the Cash Hop symbol to move to, no Prize is awarded and it will reset back to its default position outside the reel set with its starting value of 10x.

Once the Cash Hop symbol reaches reel 5, it will jump from the reel to the right, awarding the collected Prize. After this, the Cash Hop symbol will reset back to its default position outside the reel with its starting value of 10x.

Joker Loot Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 Joker Scatters across the reels will automatically trigger the Free Spins round, awarding 8 Free Spins. Before Free Spins can commence, you will be met with a Bonus Wheel mini-game, awarding 3 Respins.

Bonus Wheel Mini-Game

During the Bonus Wheel mini-game, each Respin will collect the corresponding values awarded onto the Cash Hop symbol. There is a possibility of winning additional Bonus Wheel Respins, by landing the cursor on the Spin Icon. Each icon (except Jackpot Icons) can be won multiple times.

If a Jackpot Icon is won, it will automatically become inactive and is unable to be won again within the same Bonus Wheel round. Once all Respins are complete, the collective values won will be assigned to the Cash Hop symbol in the Free Spins round.

Free Spins

The number of triggering Scatters will determine the composition and value of Prizes on the Bonus Wheel and the number of Cash Hop symbols active during Free Spins.

During Free Spins, Cash Hop symbols can traverse the reels in the same way they can in the base game. More than 1 Cash Hop symbol can take a position on the reels at the same time.

If 1 or more Cash Hop symbols are in the progress of traversing the reels, no additional Cash Hop symbols can begin their movement. Scatters and Cash Boost symbols are not present during the Free Spins round, and Cash Hop symbols cannot move vertically outside the reels at this time.

Joker Loot: Our Verdict

A player’s first impression of Joker Loot will be a good one. It’s quite impressive visually with crisp artwork, and the sneaky yet smooth music draws you in for more.

The base game seems capable enough yet we’d be lying if we said we didn’t have our eye on the Cash Hop symbol most of the time, especially when it grows in value with the cash boost. It was a nice surprise to learn that it persists until the looting feature is triggered, but the wait for this feature can be as agonising as it is exciting.

Through testing we watched it grow to quite a hefty figure before the looting feature was triggered, only to watch it dissipate into thin air and reset as a standard 10x when it couldn’t make it all the way across. It’s dangled like a carrot in front of you which can feel harsh sometimes, and it can feel a little underwhelming if triggered too early with a low value, but we certainly see the appeal too.

Lots of features may happen to further bolster this figure even further, such as multiplier blank spaces. When this figure grows astronomically it hurts all the more to lose it, but adversely it has the potential to get the heart racing.

During Free Spins you’re given 3 spins on a wheel and the value of each of them turns into a separate cash hop bag, upping the potential considerably. We had mixed results with this one, and again some frustrations when we just couldn’t get the cash hop past that first reel.

Overall, Joker Loot has considerable potential and appeal, but it could be one to approach with caution if you’re prone to a hot flush of anger when things don’t go your way!
