Joker Ra Dice Slot Review
A great pyramid stands behind the reels against a burning orange-red sky, a second one half-hidden at the frame’s edge, dunes fading into haze below. Joker Ra Dice looks like a tomb-raiding adventure, but almost everything interesting about it happens after the spin rather than on it. The reels pay out, and then a card table asks you what that win is really worth.
Endorphina‘s take on the theme runs a 5×4 grid with 100 fixed paylines, an RTP of 96.07%, and stakes from 1.00 to 80.00 per spin. No jackpot, no bonus round, no buy menu. It sits alongside games like Thunder Crown Dice and 3 Coin Towers Dice, with Joker Miner nearby in the catalogue.
The pyramid on the horizon is doing more work here than it first appears to.
The Base Game and Its Paytable
Wins are for combinations of a kind. Matching symbols need to sit on paylines and consecutive reels from the leftmost one across; scatters count anywhere. Where several combinations land on the same payline, the highest one is paid, and scatter wins are added on top of line wins rather than replacing them.
With 100 fixed lines across a four-row grid, there’s a lot of overlap between winning combinations. A single expanded wild in the middle of the reels can contribute to dozens of lines at once, which is partly why the individual prizes are sized so modestly. Volume does the work instead.
The reels are set inside a gold-trimmed frame that reads as a carved doorway, and the symbols split between Egyptian artefacts and coloured dice. The purple Statue leads the paytable and is the only symbol that pays for two of a kind. Values are multiples of the total bet:
- Statue (purple): 2 pays 0.1x, 3 pays 0.5x, 4 pays 2x, 5 pays 30x
- Gold Box and Teal Amulet: 3 pays 0.4x, 4 pays 1x, 5 pays 5x
- Teal Winged Ankh: 3 pays 0.2x, 4 pays 0.5x, 5 pays 2x
- Purple, Red, Blue and Green Dice: 3 pays 0.1x, 4 pays 0.3x, 5 pays 1x
That’s a flat ladder. The gap between the top symbol’s five-of-a-kind and everything below it is steep, and four dice symbols share the bottom rung. Paytable values scale with the selected bet, so the multiples stay constant whether you’re staking the minimum or the maximum.
Scatter Pays
There are two scatters, and they don’t behave alike. The Pyramid of the Sun scatter can appear on any reel and pays 3x for three, 20x for four and 100x for five, at any position. The Pharaoh’s Chest scatter lands only on reels 1, 3 and 5, and pays 20x when all three arrive.
Neither scatter triggers anything. There’s no free spins round hiding behind them; they’re pure payout symbols, and the 100x for five Pyramids is the richest single prize on the board, more than three times what five Statues pay.
Because scatters count at any position, they don’t need to line up on a payline or start from the left. They simply need to land.
The Wild
The wild substitutes for everything except the scatters, appears only on the middle three reels, and expands vertically to complete combinations. That’s its whole job, and on a 4-row grid an expanded wild covers a lot of ground. It’s the only symbol behaviour in the base game with any real swing to it.
The Risk Game
After any win, the game offers a gamble. Four cards are dealt face down; pick one and it’s matched against the Dealer’s card. Win and your win is doubled, with the option to go again for up to ten attempts in total. Lose any round and the winnings are gone and the Risk Game ends.
A draw leaves the winnings unchanged and costs nothing but the attempt. The Joker beats every other card, and the Dealer can never draw one, so it’s always the pick when it’s on the table. Cards can reappear from round to round and the dealing probabilities aren’t evenly distributed, so counting what’s gone is not a reliable strategy.
The maths is where it gets interesting. The average return on a Risk Game round is 84%, which makes gambling everything a losing proposition on average. But that figure swings hard depending on which card the Dealer is showing:
- Dealer shows 2: 162%
- Dealer shows 3: 121%
- Dealer shows 4: 113%
- Dealer shows 5: 101%
- Dealer shows 6, 7 or 8: 100%
- Dealer shows 9: 92%
- Dealer shows 10: 78%
- Dealer shows J: 69%
- Dealer shows Q: 66%
- Dealer shows K: 64%
- Dealer shows A: 42%
Against a Dealer’s 2 the round is strongly in your favour; against an Ace it’s close to a donation. Everything from a 5 downward is at or above 100%, and the mid-range cards sit exactly at even money.
Only when the Dealer shows a 9 or better does the gamble turn against you, and it turns hard – an Ace leaves you with less than half your money in expectation. The game’s RTP of 96.07% is stated separately from this and doesn’t include the gamble at all, so the Risk Game is a side bet you choose to make or decline each time. Pressing TAKE WIN collects and quits at any point.
One practical note: unfinished games and untaken prizes are held for seven days before being cancelled, so anything left in the Risk Game mid-round doesn’t vanish on the spot. Collect before you close the session and it’s never an issue.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.1/10
Spinning Joker Ra Dice is a calm experience: handsome desert scenery, a steady patter of small line wins, and the occasional expanded wild brightening the middle reels. The one reason to choose it over plainer line-payers is that every win hands you a decision worth making. Not many slots offer that.
The Risk Game’s maths is the best thing here – few gambles tell you your exact odds before you commit, and against a low Dealer card it’s genuinely worth taking. The weakness is the paytable: a flat ladder where four symbols share the bottom rung, and nothing on the reels pays more than 100x.
This suits players who like unhurried spins with something to mull between wins, and fans of Endorphina’s dice-flavoured releases. Anyone after elaborate bonus rounds should dig elsewhere. The sun sets rather nicely on this pyramid, provided you’re happy to sit and watch it.
