Joker’s Spin Fest Slot Review
A joker in a three-bell cap grins out from behind a gold wordmark, over a fruit machine glowing carnival-red in its polished frame. Joker’s Spin Fest, from AvatarUX, is the rare three-reeler where the most interesting moment comes between spins, not on them: every win parks in a wallet and asks whether you’d rather have the money or gamble it on more reels.
It’s a simple cabinet on paper. A 3×3 grid with five paylines, medium-high volatility and a 94% RTP, with stakes running from 0.10 to 100 per spin. Every win feeds a wallet, and the wallet is where the game lives or dies.
It’s a long way from the expanding-reel PopWins machines the studio built its name on, the likes of CherryPop Deluxe and Lollipop. Here the reels never grow. The risk does.
Base Game & Features
The reels sit behind a gold-framed window with a glowing payline arrow jabbing in from the left edge. Behind it all, a deep orange-to-crimson backdrop fades towards the bottom of the screen. It looks like a fairground stall at night, candy colours glowing against warm dark red.
Wins form across five fixed paylines. The paying symbols are the old favourites, and their values for a full three-of-a-kind line are as follows:
- 7 – 10x bet
- Horseshoe – 9x bet
- Lemon – 4x bet
- Cherries – 3x bet
- Watermelon – 1x bet
- Plum – 1x bet
Notice the shape of that ladder. The 7 and the horseshoe sit on their own tier well above the fruit, and the melon and plum pay the same at the bottom. With only three reels and five lines, a full house of top symbols is a rare thing, and most of the action runs through the lower rungs.
The wild completes lines in place of any other symbol and can arrive attached to a multiplier of up to 10x, which lands on whatever win it helps build. Those multipliers are additive, so more than one in a line stacks. In the base game that’s as far as it goes – the real multiplier work happens once the SuperSpins kick in.
The SuperSpins Wallet and the Collect Decision
Every win lands in the SuperSpins Wallet rather than paying out straight away. On any win you get a choice: collect the wallet and bank it, or leave it sitting there.
Leave it, and the wallet’s value converts into SuperSpins, played at the bet amount of the triggering spin. The number of SuperSpins you receive equals the value held in the wallet. That’s the entire engine of the game, and it’s a genuinely tense little decision on a 3×3 grid where a single spin can swing things either way.
The wallet also works during the SuperSpins themselves. Winnings accumulate there as the round plays out, so the collect button keeps updating with everything the mode has paid so far. Continue, and that balance rides on. Collect, and it’s banked.
Autoplay Modes
Because the collect-or-continue decision sits at the heart of play, the autoplay menu gets its own set of modes built around it:
- Always Collect – automatically banks winnings after each spin
- Always SuperSpin – keeps playing SuperSpins without ever collecting
- Random – alternates between collecting and continuing at random
It’s a thoughtful touch. Autoplay on most three-reelers just spins the reels; here it has to answer the wallet question on your behalf, and the three modes cover the sensible strategies – always bank, always gamble, or let the machine decide.
Autospin itself runs from two spins up to 100, or infinitely until you stop it.
Joker’s Spin Fest Bonus Features & Free Spins
SuperSpins Mode is the whole reason the wallet exists. Once triggered, the game shifts into higher volatility with increasing multipliers and wild multipliers in play, with the potential multiplier climbing as high as 200x.
How a SuperSpins round plays out
The sequence runs the same way every time. Your triggering win sits in the wallet, it converts to that number of SuperSpins at your original stake, and the mode begins. From the first SuperSpin onwards, every win either collects into the wallet or walks away, and the collect button tracks the total live as you go.
There’s no retrigger to wait for and no scatter count to watch. The round simply runs for as many SuperSpins as the wallet bought, then the mode ends and whatever’s left in the wallet is yours.
The Global Multiplier
On the first SuperSpin, after you press the spin button, a random Global Multiplier from 1x to 4x appears. From there it climbs a fixed trail, one step at a time:
- 1x → 2x → 3x → 4x → 5x
- 7x → 10x → 20x → 50x
- 100x → 200x
There’s also a chance the multiplier jumps straight to 200x, skipping the trail entirely. During SuperSpins, any wild multipliers on the reels combine with the Global Multiplier, and because they’re additive, a wild carrying a big multiplier stacks on top of whatever the global has reached.
The trail is what gives the mode its shape. Early SuperSpins pay modestly at low globals, and the value of continuing grows the deeper you get – which is exactly the tension the collect button exists to exploit.
The collect option stays live throughout. At any point during SuperSpins Mode you can bank what’s in the wallet, or keep riding with the accumulated balance in play. The maximum win is 10,000x the stake, and the top of that multiplier trail is the road towards it.
Xpress
If the base game feels like a slow way in, the Xpress menu lets you skip it. The purchase is a single tier: 10 SuperSpins for 100x your bet, jumping straight into the mode the wallet exists to feed.
It’s a steep price for a fixed round, and unlike most bonus buys there’s no guaranteed feature behind it – just ten spins with the global trail in play and the same collect decision at every step.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
Playing Joker’s Spin Fest feels like standing at a fairground stall where the prize on display is your own money. The reels spin, something small lands, and then the joker holds out the wallet and waits. That pause – collect or continue – is the entire reason to pick this machine over any other three-reeler, and it works because the game dares you to care about a 2x win.
The multiplier trail is the best thing here. It gives every SuperSpins run a direction, and the possibility of a straight jump to 200x means no round is dead until it’s over. The paytable is the problem: it falls away so steeply below the 7 and the horseshoe that the base game can’t stand on its own, and everything rests on the wallet gamble paying off.
This is one for players who like making the decision themselves and will happily nurse small wins for a shot at a big trail. Anyone who wants layered bonus rounds or a paytable with depth will find it thin gruel. For the rest, the stall is open, the joker is grinning, and the wallet is waiting.
