King Kong Cash Jackpot King Slot Review
A crowned gorilla in a red Hawaiian shirt sprawls asleep on a carved stone throne, one arm hanging over the armrest. Bamboo reels sprout leaves at the corners, a weathered idol sits half-buried in gold coins, and banana skins litter the cracked paving. Kong Kong Cash Jackpot King is a slot where the ape on the sideline matters more than the reels he’s dozing beside.
Blueprint Gaming built it as a feature game first. Five bonuses hang off one wheel, the dozing ape can interrupt any spin with a modifier, and the Jackpot King progressive pots sit on top. The reels are a 5×4 grid with 20 always-active paylines, the fixed ceiling is 1,000x the total bet in the Big Monkey Bonus, and the studio has worked this territory before in King Kong Cash and Ted Jackpot King. This one piles on the most toys yet.
How the Base Game Pays
Wins land the traditional way: matching symbols on consecutive reels from the left, across the 20 fixed lines. Line wins are multiplied by the value bet on the winning line, and wins on different lines are added together. Only the highest combination on each line pays.
Wilds substitute for everything except the Bonus Scatter, and the wild is also the joint richest symbol on the reels, paying alongside the King Kong Cash logo at the top of the table. Feature symbols are scatters and count from any position.
The paying symbols, as multiples of the total bet:
- King Kong Cash logo and Wild: 2x for two, 40x for three, 100x for four, 500x for five
- Elephant/gorilla group icon: 20x for three, 80x for four, 300x for five
- Parrot/bird group icon: 10x for three, 60x for four, 200x for five
- A: 8x for three, 40x for four, 100x for five
- Q and J: 4x for three, 10x for four, 10x for five
Sleepy Kong and the Monkey Modifiers
At random on any spin, Kong can wake from his slumber, leap off the throne and trigger one of five Monkey Modifiers. There’s no trigger to chase and nothing to land. It happens or it doesn’t, and when it does the modifiers are:
- Banana Cannon Wilds: Kong fires a sticky banana bomb at the centre reel, which explodes into extra wild positions, and can then respin the reels holding those wilds in place
- Golden Barrel Super Spin: a thrown barrel explodes over the reels, adding Golden Barrels that all reveal the same symbol once they’ve landed
- Bonus Boost: the same barrel mechanic, but the barrels reveal extra bonus symbols, sharply raising the chance of triggering the wheel on that spin
- King Kong Streak: the reels respin holding winning symbols in place until the win no longer improves
The King Kong Bonus Wheel
Three or more Bonus Scatters anywhere in view unlock the King Kong Bonus. The scatters themselves pay nothing; the wheel decides your destination. It stops on one of five features: Barrel Blast, King Kong Trail, Empire Free Spins, Golden Kong Free Spins or the Big Monkey Bonus.
Before the feature starts, there’s a gamble. You can collect what the wheel gave you or gamble it up the ladder of five features, ranked by average payout, with a Mystery Win segment as a cash consolation.
Lose and you drop out with whatever the wheel awards; win and you can collect the higher feature or keep climbing. The Big Monkey Bonus can’t be gambled to or from.
Barrel Blast Bonus
A pick’em round. You select barrels to reveal items, and matching three of the same item pays its total bet multiplier. A special icon upgrades the multipliers on the win plan. Collecting three Golden Monkeys during the round skips you straight to the Big Monkey Bonus.
King Kong Trail Bonus
A two-stage round styled like a retro platform game. In stage one you pick barrels on a multiplier trail. Advance icons move Kong up by one to five windows, a Golden Monkey jumps you directly to stage two, and a Bomb ends the bonus and pays the multiplier you’ve reached.
Big Monkey Bonus
The end game the other rounds feed into, and where the game’s 1,000x total bet ceiling lives. Kong sits centre-screen surrounded by a spinning carousel of barrels. The barrels stop and pay their multiplier, then you pick a banana.
A Golden Monkey respins the barrels and adds to the bonus win, while a Bomb ends the feature and hands over the total multiplier you’ve built. Every pick is a push-your-luck decision, and the round only ends when the Bomb says so.
Empire Free Spins
The wheel’s climbing option. The screen moves to the Empire State Building, shown from the bottom up with multiple reel sets stacked above you, each carrying a stronger upgrade on its side banner.
You play your spins on the lowest reel set and collect Golden Monkeys that appear at random on the reel symbols. Collect enough and you advance to the next set, where the upgrade is more powerful and additional spins are awarded.
Each completed level adds more free spins. The round runs until every spin is used, paying whatever sits in the Bonus Winnings meter.
Golden Kong Free Spins
The other free spins round runs on an expanded 5×4 format with 40 win lines. A wild multiplier bank sits on the right-hand side of the screen. When special wilds land, the bank grows, and after each spin the accumulated wilds are placed back onto the reels at random.
After every spin you’re shown four barrels and pick one. A Golden Monkey spins the reels again with the wilds shuffled to new positions; a Bomb ends the feature. The round can’t retrigger itself, though additional spins can arrive during Wild Spins.
Jackpot King Deluxe Pots
Layered over everything is the Jackpot King Deluxe system, available on any stake. Overlay symbols can appear on reels 1 to 5 on any spin and trigger the jackpot feature, where you spin to accumulate Crown symbols and climb a win ladder. Reach 15 or more Crowns and you enter the Wheel King round.
Along the way, icon picks reveal SPIN to keep collecting, COLLECT to bank the ladder’s total bet multiplier, or WHEEL KING to jump straight to the end game. The Wheel King is a tombola-style wheel of large total bet multipliers and progressive pot segments, and it’s the only place the jackpots can be won.
Three pots sit in the ladder: the Royal Pot, the mid-tier pot under the Jackpot King branding, and the Regal Pot at the top, all funded by contributions from each stake. The Royal and Regal pots are guaranteed to drop by their must-be-won-by values.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
You spend most of a session on King Kong Cash Jackpot King watching a sleeping gorilla and waiting for him to move. The scatters land, the wheel spins, and you genuinely don’t know which of five very different games you’re about to play, which is a rarer thrill than it sounds.
The variety is the best thing here. No two bonuses play alike, and the feature gamble means a poor wheel result doesn’t have to be final. What lets it down is the ceiling: the fixed 1,000x top prize exists only inside the Big Monkey Bonus, so four of the five rounds can never reach it no matter how well they go.
For players who love a slot stuffed with rounds to trigger, this is generous, noisy fun. Anyone who prefers one deep mechanic done well will find it cluttered. But for jackpot hunters content to let the meters tick while Kong naps between features, the throne is still occupied, and still paying.
