Legacy of Inca Slot Review
A stepped stone temple rises out of dense jungle, carved jaguar heads guard the corners of the reel frame, and a toucan watches the reels from a branch overhead. Legacy of Inca is one of those rare Play’n GO titles that trusts a single idea to carry a whole game: every spin of its bonus round is only as good as the wilds it drops, and nothing else about the slot matters half as much.
Play’n GO built this one on a 5×3 grid with 20 paylines, running at 96.29% RTP with mid to high volatility. The wild-heavy free spins round is where the game lives, and the 750x top wild pay is the prize everything points at. It sits in explorer-adjacent territory alongside Cat Wilde and the Incan Quest, Legacy of Dynasties and Idol of Fortune.
The Base Game
The setting does more than decorate. Ruined pillars flank the reels on both sides, vines hang into the frame, and a worn stone pathway runs along the bottom of the screen with ferns along its edges. The artwork carries a stone-carved finish throughout, right down to the jaguar heads on the reel frame.
Twenty fixed paylines pay left to right across five reels, and wins on multiple lines in a single round are added together. Feature wins and scatter pays stack on top of payline wins, and everything is settled at the end of the round. Free spins run at the same bet and the same number of lines as the round that triggered them, and the bet can’t be changed while a round is running.
The symbol set leans on the artwork. A toucan, a snake and a leopard fill out the animal end of the paytable, joined by headdress-wearing characters and the A, K, Q and J royals.
The wild substitutes for every symbol except the scatter. Five wilds on a line is the game’s standout pay.

The five-wild line is the biggest pay the captured paytable shows. Beyond it, Legacy of Inca publishes no maximum win figure of its own, so the five-wild line is the honest ceiling to aim at.
Wins here are functional rather than spectacular. The base game’s job is to keep the balance ticking while you wait on scatters, and it does that job without fuss.
Wheel of the Gods and Free Spins
Three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels trigger the Wheel of the Gods, a spinning wheel that decides how many free spins you start with. It’s a simple gate, but the spread of outcomes is wide: the same trigger can hand you three spins or twenty.
The mid-reel wild drops are what the whole round runs on. With up to nine wilds placed across the three centre reels before each spin, five-of-a-kind wins through the middle of the grid stop being rare events. The count changes on every spin, so a quiet spin can be followed immediately by a loaded one.
Because the added wilds only land on reels two, three and four, the outer reels are left to the natural spin. That shapes which wins are available: a line win needs its symbols on reels one and five to arrive by luck, while the middle three positions can be filled almost entirely by wilds substituting for whatever the payline needs.
Substitution is the quiet key to the round. A leopard on reel one, three wilds stacked through the middle, and a leopard on reel five is a five-leopard line, paid at the leopard’s full rate. The more wilds the round drops, the more lines resolve this way.
Temple Spins
Land two scatters during a free spin and you’re awarded Temple Spins: free spins inside the free spins round. The Wheel of the Gods comes back out to set the number, and it can award 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8.
What Temple Spins keep matters more than how many you get. They retain the number of wilds that was due to be added on the triggering spin, so a spin that would have dropped eight wilds locks that count in for the whole Temple run. That’s the mechanic that makes a big round snowball.
Once you’re inside Temple Spins, the scatters disappear entirely, so there’s no chaining Temple Spins into further Temple Spins. The hard ceiling on a single free spins round, Temple Spins included, is 55 spins.
Run through in order, a full round goes like this: the wheel sets your starting spins, every spin reloads the centre reels with a fresh count of wilds, and two scatters at any point bank a sub-round that runs at the wild count you had on that spin. When the sub-round ends, the remaining ordinary free spins pick up where they left off. A three-spin dud and a 55-spin monster come from the same trigger.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing this one is mostly a waiting game in front of a very pretty ruin. The reels spin, the toucan sits there, and the balance drifts until three scatters arrive – that’s the whole bargain, and it’s the bonus round, not the artwork, that brings anybody here.
The strength is that the bonus never sits still. Every spin reloads the centre reels with a fresh count of wilds, and a well-timed pair of scatters banks a Temple run that locks in however many wilds you had. The weakness is the wheel’s floor: a three-spin award with no Temple Spins can come and go in under a minute and pay almost nothing for the wait.
This is one for players who enjoy a slow burn with a round that builds rather than bursts, and it’s a poor fit for anyone after constant base game action. Jungle temples reward the patient; so does this one.
