Outsourced Slot Review

Nolimit City‘s latest chaotic creation Outsourced hits casinos very soon, and this time we’re making our way into a high-paced factory where quantity trumps quality every time. Outsourced is a tongue-in-cheek nod to the adage “time is money”, and in this factory, the bosses would sooner see you lose your fingers than productivity.

Shifting production to far-flung corners of the globe, the Outsourced factory promises nothing but cheap labour, questionable products, and a great time for those of us who hang on to Nolimit City’s every word for a taste of their latest release.

Outsource looks typically funny, and it’s reminiscent of Nine to Five in both style and in how it depicts what must be a workforce with morale lower than we’ve ever seen. Theme aside, props need to be given to Nolimit City’s Lars Söderberg and anyone else who may be involved in the music. It’s an often overlooked detail, but the music here and in other Nolimit titles is of a quality that trumps the competition.

With all the initial observations taken care of, let’s check out Outsourced and all of its features.

Outsourced Base Game

Outsourced Base Game

Base Game and Features

Outsourced is a 5-reel slot with 256 ways to win by default. Forming a win requires at least 3 of any symbol to connect from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.

Wild symbols are available and they substitute for all other symbols except for the Scatter symbol.

Outsourced sees the return of some of Nolimit City’s trademarked features, with xWays as the first notable addition.

xWays

xWays symbols reveal either low or mid-paying symbols of size 2-4. It may also reveal a blocker symbol. If one or more xWays symbol lands on the reels, then all will reveal the same symbol.

xNudge Wild

xNudge Wild is another familiar feature. This symbol may land anywhere on the reels and will always nudge so that it is fully visible. For every step the xNudge Wild nudges, the wild multiplier is increased by 1.

Several xNudge Wild multipliers add to each other for a total win multiplier.

Print Spins is a new feature.

Winning symbols are paid out, and Print Spins are triggered afterwards. Winning symbols disappear from play allowing new symbols to fill their space. The multiplier on those winning positions increases by one for each Print Spins.

Multipliers in Print Spins are counted only for regular paying symbols and end when there are no further possible wins.

If xWays lands during Print Spins, then the revealed symbol size multiplies with the increased multiplier on that position. The symbol multiplier on the winning xWays symbol will revert to the previous value +1.

Sweatshop Spins

Sweatshop Spins is the first Free Spins mode available in Outsourced. It will trigger with 3 scatter symbols. Any multiplier from the base game is kept during Sweatshop spins.

This bonus round begins with 3 spins, but Print Spins is triggered on any winning combination, which elongates the bonus round.

Sweatiershop Spins

Landing 4 Scatter symbols will trigger 5 Sweatiershop spins. This is a simple enhancement on the first bonus round as it works the same, but offers 2 additional spins. While quite subtle compared to some of Nolimit City’s ‘Super Bonuses’, the additional 2 spins is quite meaningful here.

At the end of all bonus or Print Spins rounds, players might get the opportunity to purchase an Extra Spin. This additional spin keeps the multiplier state of all symbols from the previous spin. Scatter symbols do not land during an Extra Spin.

Maks Win

The max payout of the game is 5,000x the bet. When the total win exceeds this amount, the game round ends and 5000x the bet is awarded.

Nolimit City Booster

The Nolimit City Booster has a few options, some of which may be unavailable depending on the jurisdiction

  • xBet – Costs 1.5x the base bet. The player is 4 times more likely to trigger Sweatshop Spins/Sweatiershop Spins.
  • Print Spins x2– Costs 5x the base bet. The player is guaranteed a spin that starts off with x2 multipliers on all positions
  • Print Spins x5 – Costs 90x the base bet. The player is guaranteed a spin that starts off with x5 multipliers on all positions.

Nolimit City Bonus

The Nolimit City Bonus options allow players within certain jurisdictions to buy into the bonus rounds.

  • Sweatshop Spins – 60x the bet. (95.92% RTP)
  • Sweatiershop Spins – 200x the bet. (95.98% RTP)
  • 50/50 Chance – 130x the bet. (95.95% RTP)
  • God Mode – 1,300x the bet (96.17% RTP)

The God mode round works as it did in previous games, with an all-or-nothing win.

Conclusion

Outsourced is a great offering from Nolimit City as per usual, but perhaps not as fiery as some of their other games.

It’s another head turner both mechanically and thematically, with a humorous take on the corporate world, its obsession with profits and the detriment of the lowly workers within them. Both the Base Game and Free Spins have ample to keep players occupied, with a respins round triggering quite often thanks to Print Spins.

Free Spins is where the feature really shines, and huge wins are possible should fortune favour you with consecutive connections and subsequently, big multipliers. With a maximum win of 5,000x the bet, it’s softer than what we’re used to from Nolimit City. One of the features that made it possible to enhance this didn’t make it into the final product, but rest assured that Nolimit City has plans to bring it to future games, and in typical explosive Nolimit City fashion no doubt.

In summary, Outsourced has innovation, potential, humour, and personality. It’s a must-try for fans of Nolimit City.
