Oxygen Base Game and Features
Oxygen is a 6×7 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 5 or more of the same symbols land either Horizontally or Vertically to each other across the grid.
The minimum bet available here is £.€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€100 per spin, with a small variety of betting options in between the two. Oxygen has a theoretical RTP of 94.00% and a max win cap of 25,000x.
In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Fish in the Diver’s Suit, followed by the Pink, Orange, and Green Fish symbols. Low-paying symbols fall to Pink, Orange, and Green netted Stones.
Each time a winning combination forms, all winning symbols will be removed from the grid, making room for new symbols to drop in from above via a Cascade Feature. This continues until no more wins are formed on the grid.
Wilds
During gameplay, up to 3 Wild symbols can land at random on the grid, substituting for all High and Low-paying symbols from the paytable.
- Regular Wild – This is your typical Wild symbol with no additional feature or modifier to offer.
- X-Blaster Wild – Selects a random paying symbol or Wild and replaces all payout symbols in an X-shape.
- Exploding Wild – Removes all payout symbols within an X-shape area above and below itself.
Please note, that the X-Blaster and Exploding Wilds will only activate when they are part of a winning cluster.
Multipliers (Oxygen Bubbles)
Behind each winning cluster are special Oxygen Bubbles that Double their Multiplier value. The first win on any given symbol position will add a x1 Multiplier which then doubles every time a new winning combination is formed on top of it, up to a maximum of x2,048.
The Multiplier Strike Feature will place a number of random Multiplier values on the grid. This feature is available during any symbol drop or Free Spins round.
The Multiplier Collector Feature will collect and add all Multiplier values in view to the collector symbols’ current position. The Multiplier Collector feature only activates when it is part of a winning cluster and can also be Persistent.
The Dealer Feature will multiply all Multiplier values in a specific area of 1 or more adjacent Vertical or Horizontal V shapes with a minimum multiplier value of x2 from the Dealer symbols position. The Dealer symbol only activates when it is part of a winning cluster and can be Persistent.
Oxygen: Free Spins
Landing 3 Bonus Scatters on the grid in the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10 Free Spins.
During Free Spins, Multipliers are persistent between each free spin. In Super Free Spins, at least 1 Multiplier Feature is persistent. Landing 2 or 3 Bonus Scatters during this time will award an additional +3 and +5 Free Spins respectively.

Oxygen: Our Verdict
Oxygen manifests a tranquil underwater ambience, evoking a sense of serenity in the process. They say we know more about space than we do our oceans, and in many ways, the mysteries of the oceans are every bit as beautiful as the wonder of space.
ELK has certainly done well in theme and music to make you feel quite peaceful, but its peaceful appearance doesn’t mean it’s tame. The gameplay features are comparable to that of Sugar Rush from Pragmatic Play with spaces that leave multipliers behind after winning combinations, and the momentum can build quite rapidly if fortune is in your favour. The striking difference between Oxygen and Sugar Rush is some of the features, and their presence here makes Oxygen much more diverse.
Oxygen distinguishes itself through the incorporation of innovative features. Notably, the inclusion of collector and dealer symbols, plus Wild symbols like the X-Blaster and Exploding Wild. Big Symbols also contribute to Oxygen’s appeal as it makes forming winning combinations easier.
The real ocean jewell here is the persistent multiplier, which takes the free drops to entirely new heights. ELK have been guilty before of creating slots where it isn’t possible to land a super bonus outside buying a bonus, but thankfully, a Super Bonus here can land organically.
All of Oxygen’s great features manifest into a game where wins of up to 25,000x is possible, making it significantly more capable than other games with similar features.
Overall, Oxygen doesn’t quite display a weirdly wonderful theme to make it stand out from the crowd, but its gameplay certainly does.
