Pulled From The Deep UltraNudge Slot Review
A fisherman pulling one catch out of the water and watching it pay three, four, five times on the way down – that’s Pulled From The Deep UltraNudge in a single image. Most fishing slots save their big moments for the bonus round and let the base game idle; this one gives its best trick away for free, because the nudge mechanic that powers the free spins runs on every fisherman win from the first spin. BangBang‘s name for it is in the title, and it’s earned.
The game runs on a 6×4 grid with 40 paylines, medium-high volatility, and stakes from 0.20 to 40. It sits in familiar company alongside Caribbean Catch UltraNudge and Pharaoh’s Rage UltraSpinz, two of the studio’s other mechanic-branded releases. The question is whether the catch justifies the trawl.
Base Game & Features
This is a classic fishing setup: six reels, four rows, and 40 fixed paylines paying left to right. The lighthouse is the highest payer in the base game, and it’s capable of stacking vertically across four consecutive reels at once. The wild substitutes for any regular symbol to complete a winning line.
The fish symbols are where the money lives. Every value below is a three-of-a-kind pay:
- Fish (large silver) – 10x your stake
- Fish (medium) – 6x your stake
- Fish (small silver) – 3.5x your stake
- Fish (blue) – 3x your stake
The gaps between tiers are worth a look. From the large silver fish down to the blue, each step roughly halves the return, so three of the top fish is worth more than three of any two lower tiers combined. At the bottom end, the blue fish at 3x means the smallest wins barely cover a couple of spins.
Two tiers sit close together, though. The small silver fish at 3.5x and the blue fish at 3x are nearly interchangeable in value, so the real dividing line in this paytable runs between the medium fish and everything below it. Above that line, a single combination covers ten spins’ worth of stake; below it, you’re collecting change.
UltraNudge
UltraNudge is the signature mechanic and the reason for the name. When a fisherman win lands, the nudge kicks in: winning symbols nudge down the reels one position at a time, and each nudge re-evaluates the paylines. As long as new wins keep forming, the symbols keep nudging. One win can snowball into several payouts from a single spin.
It’s a simple idea executed well. The fisherman is the trigger, so every fisherman win carries the possibility of running longer than it first appears. A chain that starts with a modest line of medium fish can pick up blue and silver fish on later nudges, each one paying again as it drops into a new position.
The order of events matters for understanding what a nudge chain is worth. The initial win pays first, then the symbols drop one position and the paylines are checked again. If that second position produces nothing, the chain stops immediately. If it produces a new combination – even a smaller one – the nudge continues, and the payouts stack on top of each other rather than replacing the win that started it.
Cash Prizes and Grand Rewards
Beyond the paylines, the game awards direct cash prizes and grand rewards during play. These arrive alongside the symbol pays rather than replacing them, giving the base game a second route to a payout. On a grid where most line wins are small, that second route matters more than it would on a top-heavy paytable.
The two payout streams also behave differently. A payline win scales with your stake, since every symbol value is a multiple of the bet. The cash prizes and grand rewards are their own awards, also sized to the stake, delivered when the game calls for them, and a spin can produce both a line win and a cash prize in the same moment.
Pulled From The Deep UltraNudge Free Spins & Bonuses
Free Spins
The anchor and bonus symbols are the key to the free spins round. Land the BONUS icon on the reels and the round unlocks, awarding free spins where the game points its biggest rewards. The UltraNudge mechanic stays live once the round is running, which is what gives the feature its teeth.
The BONUS icon drops onto individual reels rather than anywhere on the grid – the fifth reel is one place it appears – so part of the game is watching specific reels for it. Stacked lighthouse symbols and bonus icons can share the screen, which makes for busy reels when the round is close. Wins during the round come through the same 40 paylines as the base game.
Inside the round, the nudge becomes the engine of the bigger results. A fisherman win during free spins triggers the same drop-and-recheck sequence, but with no stake deducted from the spins that produce it, every additional payout in a chain is pure return. That’s the round’s whole pitch: more spins, same nudge, no cost per trigger.
The fish symbols keep their base-game values in the round, so a nudge chain there pays with the same tiering – the large silver fish at 10x remains the combination to see. What changes isn’t the paytable, it’s how often the fisherman wins that start the chains get a stage to run on.
Jackpot Ladder
Four jackpots sit on screen throughout play, each a multiple of the bet:
- Grand – 5,000x
- Major – 1,000x
- Minor – 200x
- Mini – 100x
The jackpot symbols land on the reels like any other icon, and the MINI symbol in particular appears on the sixth reel. Every tier is a multiple of your stake, and all four are in play at every stake level, from 0.20 up to 40.
The steps between tiers are steep and uneven. The Grand is five times the Major, the Major is five times the Minor, but the Minor is only double the Mini, so the bottom of the ladder is compressed while the top stretches away. A Mini or Minor jackpot is a modest boost to a session; the Major and Grand are the prizes that change it.
The maximum win for this one is 5,606x your stake. Between the jackpot ladder and the nudge chains, the features are what carry a spin towards that ceiling.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
This is a slot where you spend most of your time waiting on the fisherman, and the moment he shows up, the reels start paying without asking permission. That nudge is the reason to choose it over the dozen other fishing games out there – no other symbol on the grid can turn one modest line into a chain of payouts, and the chain doesn’t care whether you’re in the base game or the bonus round.
Its strength is that generosity with the mechanic: the nudge isn’t gated behind a feature, so the base game never feels like a placeholder before the real game starts. Its weakness is the paytable underneath – with the blue fish at 3x, the ordinary wins are pocket change, and too much of the return is riding on chains and jackpots arriving.
If you like a game that’s quiet until it suddenly isn’t, with small steady wins punctuated by a chain that runs three nudges longer than expected, this one’s worth your time. If you want a paytable that pays properly on its own, the water here will feel cold. For everyone else, cast a line and see what comes up.
