Jokrz Wild Ultranudge GigaBlox Slot Review
A cartoon jester in a red-and-purple cap leans around the logo lettering of a golden fruit-machine cabinet, grinning over a back room lit in dim neon. BangBang have made a game where the reels themselves barely matter: every win worth having is manufactured by the machinery behind the symbols. That’s a genuinely odd way to build a slot, and it’s the argument of this one in a single detail. It runs on a 6×4 grid with 40 paylines, 96.06% RTP and high volatility, with wins capped at 7,216x your stake.
It shares its nudge-streak DNA with Caribbean Catch UltraNudge and Pulled From The Deep UltraNudge, two other titles from the studio’s recent run. The dressing here is retro. The maths is anything but.
Base Game & Features
The grid sits inside an ornate golden surround studded with rows of little bulbs, framed by moody neon. Underneath the dressing it’s a straightforward 40-line game: all 40 paylines are in play on every spin, and wins pay left to right. The Jokrz Wild substitutes for any paying symbol, and every win it forms sets the nudge streak running.
Stakes run from 0.10 to 40 per spin, so the buy-in suits casual sessions as easily as high-roller ones. The paying symbols are a full retro set, split across several pay tiers:
- 7 – 4: 1x, 5: 3x, 6: 5x
- Star – 3: 0.2x, 4: 0.8x, 5: 1.5x, 6: 3x
- Bell – 3: 0.2x, 4: 0.5x, 5: 1x, 6: 2x
- Horseshoe – 3: 0.2x, 4: 0.3x, 5: 0.8x, 6: 1.5x
- BAR – 3: 0.2x, 4: 0.3x, 5: 0.8x, 6: 1.5x
- Watermelon – 3: 0.1x, 4: 0.2x, 5: 0.5x, 6: 1x
- Cherry – 3: 0.1x, 4: 0.2x, 5: 0.5x, 6: 1x
- Grapes – 3: 0.1x, 4: 0.2x, 5: 0.5x, 6: 1x
- Orange – 3: 0.1x, 4: 0.2x, 5: 0.5x, 6: 1x
The paytable pays out in tiers, with 7 as the top symbol and the four fruits paying the least. That’s a fairly standard structure, and the extra differentiation here comes from the mechanics layered on top.
UltraNudge
Any win that includes the Jokrz Wild pays out, then all symbols nudge down by one position. Any new wins formed by the nudge pay as well, and the streak keeps going until a nudge produces no more wins. It’s a simple loop with compounding potential, especially once multipliers are involved.
The order matters. The win pays first at its current multiplier, then the grid shifts, then anything new pays at whatever the multiplier has reached by then. A streak that begins modestly can finish several times larger than its first step, because each nudge is a fresh chance for wilds and multipliers to appear.
GigaBlox
On each spin, two or more reels can merge into a single colossal GigaBlox reel. Merged reels land oversized symbols that count as multiple positions, which makes full six-of-a-kind lines considerably easier to hit than a standard 6×4 grid would suggest.
The merged reels change with every spin, so there’s no fixed pattern to read. What matters is that a colossal symbol covering a merged pair of reels counts as two, three or more instances of that symbol at once. Line wins stack up faster on merged reels than anywhere else on the grid.
Multipliers
Multiplier symbols of x1, x2 or x3 land on the non-Gigablox reels. They’re wild, they add to the round win multiplier, and they’re applied on every UltraNudge in the streak. A single wild win with two or three multipliers attached can escalate quickly.
Because each multiplier is itself a wild, a landing pair can complete a win and boost it in the same moment. The multiplier builds across the whole round rather than per win, so everything that lands while it’s climbing is paid at the higher figure.
The split between reel types is worth pausing on. Gigablox reels carry the big symbols that complete lines; the standard reels carry the multipliers that inflate them. Neither does the other’s job, so the biggest results come from spins where both arrive together.
Jokrz Wild Ultranudge GigaBlox Free Spins & Bonuses
Jokrz Free Spins
Land five or more BONUS symbols anywhere in the base game and the free spins round begins. The number of spins awarded scales with the trigger: five symbols starts the counter at ten, and each additional symbol adds another spin.
- Free spins awarded: 5 plus the number of triggering BONUS symbols
- Every win starts an UltraNudge streak
- The win multiplier does not reset between spins
- Each unique BONUS symbol landing during the round awards +1 free spin
Round by round, it works like this. A winning spin pays, the reels nudge, and anything the nudge forms pays again at the running multiplier. The multiplier doesn’t drop back to one when the streak ends, so the next winning spin picks up where the last one left off.
That persistence changes the shape of the round. In most free spins games, each spin starts from scratch and only the biggest single hit matters. Here a quiet first half is still building something, because every multiplier that lands keeps its value for whatever comes later.
Jokrz Gamble
After triggering free spins, you can gamble the lot before the round starts. It’s a straight 50-50. Win and your starting multiplier doubles along with every on-reel multiplier, so x1, x2 and x3 symbols become x2, x4 and x6. Lose, and the round is over on the spot: you return to the base game with nothing.
Bonus Boost
A toggle in the base game costs 50% extra per spin and doubles your chance of hitting the free spins trigger. At the top stake of 40, that’s 60 a spin with the boost switched on. Straightforward arithmetic, and the only question is how badly you want out of the base game.
Bonus Buy
If waiting isn’t your style, the free spins round can be bought outright at your chosen bet size. The price is fixed:
- Buy Bonus: 80x your current stake
That’s 80x the stake per press, which tells you exactly what kind of variance this game is built around. The buy skips the Bonus Boost question entirely: you’re straight into the round, multipliers in their base configuration, gamble and all.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Most of a session here is spent in a very handsome room waiting for something to happen, and the something is worth the wait. One wild win in the free spins round can snowball through nudges while the multiplier climbs and never resets, and that streak is the reason to pick this game up at all.
The multiplier that carries over between spins is the best idea in it: a round is never dead while spins remain, which few free spins games can honestly claim. The lean part is everything before it. An 18.8% hit rate leaves long stretches where the golden cabinet is just furniture.
This one suits the patient, streak-chasing kind of player who doesn’t need the reels to flatter them between bonuses; anyone who wants regular hits will find the quiet spells long. The jester grinning round the logo knows the good stuff is behind the door, and he’s not wrong.
