Ryze is another November release from ELK Studios, set with a reel format similar to the Cygnus series. Although the title is a little mysterious, you’ll soon realise that Ryze is a mythological Dragon creature that keeps a watchful eye on the reels.

Base Game & Features
Ryze is a 6×6 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic and varying bet sizes between £.€0.20 and £.€100 per spin. Winning clusters occur when 5 or more matching symbols land adjacent on the reels in either direction.
In addition, Ryze also facilitates an Avalanche Feature, where all winning symbols are removed and replaced with new ones. This gives you extra opportunities to create winning clusters in a single spin.
There are 6 primary symbols which award payouts between 0.05x and 15x your bet. Other important attributes include an overall RTP of 94% and a generous max win cap of 10,000x your bet.
Wilds
Whenever a winning cluster appears, a Sticky Multiplier Wild is generated in one of the empty positions following an Avalanche. The sticky multiplier wild will be assigned a Multiplier of x1, which can increase by +x1 for each additional winning cluster it is part of, after which, it will move to a new position on the reels.
When 2 or more Wilds appear within a winning cluster, their values are added together and applied to wins. During the next avalanche, the individual multipliers are each increased by +x1 before merging into a single multiplier.
Coin Win +Merge
Whenever a Coin symbol appears, its value equals your current bet. A cluster of coin symbols pays out their cumulative value, which is then assigned to a new coin that is left behind after a cluster is removed via an Avalanche.
Coin Win + Multiplier
Whenever a winning cluster of Coin symbols appears, the value of all Multiplier Wild symbols is added to the total sum, multiplied by the winning cluster of Coin symbols.
Burst Symbol
Occasionally, a special Burst symbol will appear on the reels, transforming itself and all adjacent symbols into the same high or low-paying symbol. It is also possible for burst symbols to transform into Coin symbols.

Our Verdict
As with every ELK Studios slot, there’s always quite a bit to unpack in terms of gameplay and features. Once you familiarise yourselves with the content, it’s simple and easy to follow.
In addition to the games’ mechanics and features, Ryze boasts an overall RTP of 94% and a generous max win cap of 10,000x your bet, whilst facilitating a high volatility rating. The statistics prove what Ryze is capable of, but it does have its hot and cold moments throughout gameplay.
The Dragon character comes across as more cute and cuddly than scary, further building our confidence to build our skill of thievery without being burned. As is the case with most slots, it’s the Free Spins and Super Free Spins rounds that attract players, where Multiplier Wilds remain sticky on the reels throughout spins.
