Sleepy Grandpa Base Game and Features

Sleepy Grandpa is a 5-reel Video slot with 26 fixed pay lines. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.

The minimum bet available here is £.€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.39% and a max win cap of 10,000x.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Cow, followed by the Pig, Sheep, and Chicken. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten. There are no Wilds present.

Dig Feature

During the base game, when at least 1 Farmer symbol lands in view at the same time as a Dirt symbol, the Farmer will dig up the dirt to reveal a special Coin symbol with a random value between 1x and 1,000x your bet.

Tractor Feature

If a Farmer or Gold Farmer symbol lands in view without any Dirt symbols, there is a chance of triggering the Tractor feature. The Tractor feature will randomly plow the field and remove all visible symbols except Scatters and Farmer/Gold Farmer symbols.

As the Tractor plows the field, it will leave behind between 1 and 10 Dirt symbols, triggering the Dig feature. Please note, the Tractor feature is present in both the base game and Free Spins round.

Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters across the reels during the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10, 12, and 15 Free Spins respectively.

During Free Spins, there is a chance the Gold Farmer symbol can land. A Gold Farmer will activate the Dig feature if at least 1 Dirt symbol is present on the reels at the same time.

So far, Backseat Gaming has taken a new approach to each of their new releases, with a perfectly mixed bag of features and mechanics that cater to a variety of players.

This time around, we’re getting stuck into the hectic life of a Farmer, where digging for valuable Coins seems to be the only task on the agenda. During base game testing, 1x Coins Seemed to be the standard Coin value to unearth, with no luck excavating the higher amounts.

The Free Spins round finally reveals the games’ full potential, where bigger Coin values suddenly made an appearance. These combined with an active Multiplier make for some pretty impressive wins, even when you unearth a lower Coin value.

All in all, Sleepy Grandpa had us drifting off at times during the base game, but soon had us wide awake when the Free Spins round kicked in!
