Star Pirates Code Base Game

Star Pirates Code Theme

We appreciate a slot game that gives us a clue in the title to the overall theme, and Star Pirates Code does just that!

First impressions arent that great, the backdrop gives off minimal detail of two dimly lit lamps, a starry sky and a view of the sea. We’ve seen many backdrops in other slot games that are oozing with detail and sadly Star Pirates Code isnt one of them.

The music playing throughout is not typical of a pirate theme, it is much more relaxed and quiet to what we would have expected, the music does change tempo to a more loud and dramatic tune when the compasses land in view which makes a lot more sense with the theme. Sound effects tie in nicely with the overall theme.

The overall theme of Star Pirates Code gives off a retro feel to it, which is why we think this game would better suited to players who have a fondness for a classic style of gameplay.

The overall theme of Star Pirates Code may not float your boat but how about the base game?

Star Pirates Code Betting and Symbols

Star Pirates Code has a variety of Betting options for you to choose from. For players who prefer a lower stake, the minimum bet available is £0.10 per spin. For those who prefer a higher stake, the maximum bet available is a whopping £250 per spin with many options in between the two. Many players will agree with us that the maximum bet is really quite impressive!

The highest paying regular symbol in Star Pirates Code is the Treasure Chest, followed by the Gold Coin and the Silver Coin. Lower paying symbols fall to the Diamond, followed by the Red, Green and Purple Gems.

Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except the Wild Compass symbol.

Star Pirates Code Base Game and Features

Star Pirates Code is a 5 reel slot with 10 fixed paylines. To form a win you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbols from left to right and right to left on adjacent reels, starting from the left-most or right-most reel.

The base game in Star Pirates Code can be considered rather boring, usually slot games have an exciting feature or two to fall back on which gives the game a boost of excitement, sadly that is not the case here. Other than the Respin Feature, Star Pirates Code has no other redeeming qualities.

Reel Kingdom are the ones who delivered us Big Bass Bonanza, a game that has won many players hearts since its release and so we cant help but feel a little disappointed by the lack of potential in Star Pirates Code.

Star Pirates Code Respin Feature

Landing a Wild Compass symbol in between reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers the Respin Feature.

The Wild Compass symbol will show a random direction in which it will travel, North, East, South or West, adding wild symbols in that direction including its own position.

All positions with a Wild symbol will lock into place and a respin will trigger, if more Wild Compass symbols land as a result of the respin, more Wilds are added in the same way and another respin is awarded.

If Wild symbols are added to a position where Wilds are already present, those positions will gain a +1x Multiplier each time.

The repsins feature will end when no more Wild Compasses land in view.

Star Pirates Code Our Verdict

In a modern age of iGaming with modern mechanics and huge payout potential, Star pirates code just doesn’t cut it. Gameplay is incredibly boring, and there’s not much to look forward to in terms of features. Star Pirates Code could well appeal to those who prefer a simpler gameplay experience, but if it’s excitement and potential you’re looking for, then you should probably look elsewhere.

If anything, Star Pirates Code feels like a game that was made just to get a release out the door. It’s hard to believe that this slot was made by the very same developers who made the likes of Big Bass Bonanza.

statistically, Star Code Pirates doesn’t do anything to alleviate the disappointment of the gameplay. The 96.74% RTP seems fair enough, but the 2,500x win capabilities aren’t enough to warrant a voyage out at sea.

Overall, a rather disappointing instalment from Reel Kingdom. Perhaps their focus is better placed below the sea with the likes of Big Bass Bonanza rather than above it?
