Sugar Bomb MultiBoost Slot Review
A candy-floss landscape runs out to a pink horizon, the reel frame is striped like a candy cane with chunky gold pipework bolted at the corners, and oversized lollipops crowd the left edge of the screen. It’s maximal, and it’s a front. The real game in Sugar Bomb MultiBoost sits in one narrow strip above reels two, three and four, where the multipliers, the wilds and the instant prizes all live – and that strip, not the sweets, is the reason to pick this over plainer ways-to-win fare. The numbers underneath: 576 ways to win on a 5×4 grid, medium-high volatility and a 94% RTP.
Jelly Entertainment, the studio behind Bounty Hunter MultiBoost and Break the Vault MultiBoost, have made the row above the reels the whole game here. Every multiplier worth anything lives up there, not on the grid. This is where the sugar rush started – our Sugar Bomb 2 MultiBoost review in 2026 liked the sequel’s waiting game less than this build deserves.
Base Game & Features
Wins pay left to right across the 576 ways, with stakes running from 0.20 to 80 per spin. The hit frequency is 29.69%, so roughly three spins in ten connect, and the medium-high volatility means most of those connections are small.
Symbols split into candy on the high end and royals at the bottom. The paytable, as multiples of stake:
- Cupcake/Muffin: 2x for three, 5x for four, 10x for five
- Purple swirl candy: 1x / 2.5x / 5x
- Blue swirl candy: 0.5x / 1.25x / 2.5x
- Green gem candy: 0.4x / 0.5x / 1.25x
- Pink wrapped candy: 0.3x / 0.4x / 1x
- A, K: 0.2x / 0.3x / 0.75x
- Q, J, 10: 0.1x / 0.2x / 0.5x
A ten-times-stake top symbol is generous for a ways game, and it’s the only place the pays get interesting. Below the cupcake the values drop off quickly.
The royals pay so little they’re close to filler. A five-of-a-kind Q, J or 10 returns half your stake.
The Top Tracker
Every spin carries a tracker row above reels two, three and four, and the Sugar Bomb symbol can only land up there. Nothing about the tracker changes the base grid. It exists purely to feed the multiplier system.
MultiBoost
When a Sugar Bomb is in view it doubles the win multiplier, and each Sugar Bomb also acts as a wild for the reels below it. A bomb does this once only, whether or not it shifts position afterwards.
Bombs stack their doubling, so a run of them in the tracker is what turns a modest ways win into something worth the wait. That stacking is behind every big result this game pays.
Golden Bomb
The Golden Bomb can appear in the tracker on any spin and takes the MultiBoost straight to its maximum multiplier. It’s the one symbol that skips the doubling ladder entirely. There’s no middle ground with it, and no way to build towards it.
Gobstopper
The Gobstopper also lands only in the top tracker, and it reveals an instant prize. The possible awards:
- 1x the stake
- 2x the stake
- 3x the stake
- 5x the stake
- 10x the stake
Whatever the MultiBoost is holding when a Gobstopper lands applies to that prize too. A Gobstopper under a stacked multiplier row is where the base game’s best moments come from.
Sugar Bomb MultiBoost Free Spins & Bonus Features
Land three or more Bonus symbols anywhere to trigger the Free Spins round. The initial award scales with the trigger:
- 3 Bonus symbols: 8 free spins
- 4 Bonus symbols: 10 free spins
- 5 Bonus symbols: 12 free spins
Retriggers are generous by the standard of the round’s length. Bonus symbols that land during the feature award extra spins on this scale:
- 2 Bonus symbols: 2 additional free spins
- 3 Bonus symbols: 4 additional free spins
- 4 Bonus symbols: 6 additional free spins
- 5 Bonus symbols: 8 additional free spins
The rule that makes the round is persistence. MultiBoost multipliers built from the Sugar Bomb or Golden Bomb carry into the Free Spins and stay there for the whole session. Every doubling that lands early keeps working on every win after it.
That’s the whole appeal of the feature. A fast start compounds, and one good tracker row in the first few spins can pay across the entire round. A late retrigger lands into an already-loaded multiplier, which is where the eight-spin top award does its real work.
Golden Bet
The Golden Bet is a toggle that raises the spin price in exchange for an increased chance of triggering the Free Spins. It doesn’t change anything inside the round once you’re there, so the value of switching on depends entirely on how much you want to skip the wait.
Bonus Buy
Where jurisdictions allow it, the Bonus Buy costs 80x the bet and drops you straight into a Free Spins session with three or more Bonus symbols.
The bought round starts at eight spins and builds its multipliers from scratch, because a fresh session doesn’t inherit a loaded tracker. You’re buying the door, not the head start.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
This plays like two games sharing one screen. The grid below is ordinary ways-to-win stuff; the strip above it decides nearly everything, and that row, not the frosting, is what keeps a session interesting.
Free Spins is the best thing here. Multipliers persist for the whole round, so an early run of bombs keeps paying on every win that follows, and a retrigger lands into a loaded ladder rather than starting cold. The return is the problem: 94% is a point below where a game with this much going on should sit.
It’s built for people who like several small systems ticking at once: a tracker, stacking bombs, a golden shortcut, an instant-prize sweet. Anyone after one clean chase will find it busy. But the build rewards attention, and under all that sugar there’s a sharper game than the wrapper admits.
