Sweet Wilds Slot Review

The Reward Reel

Wilds and Multipliers

Wilds can land on any reel and substitute for paying symbols. A wild’s multiplier, if it has one, applies to the total win of each payline it contributes to, and where several multiplied wilds share a line, their values are added together. The default wild multiplier is x1.

When a Clone reward lands a wild on top of an existing wild, the two merge into one symbol carrying the doubled sum of both multipliers. Stacked clone rows building merged wilds is the biggest single swing the base game offers.

Multiplier values on the Reward Reel run from 2x up to 25x, and a single Wild x25 on the reels turns even the royals into a respectable line. A reward only fires when a wild happens to sit on its row, though, and blank rows mean plenty of spins resolve with the left reel contributing nothing at all.

Most of a Sweet Wilds session is spent reading the left edge of the screen rather than the reels, and if that sounds like a complaint, it isn’t – the reason to pick this over a dozen other beach slots is that no other grid makes you care quite this much about which row a wild lands in. It’s a slow afternoon at the bar, watching the same corner of the machine.

The free spins round is the pay-off, and it’s a good one: falling wilds keep drifting into rewarded rows, so the round compounds instead of resetting, and one merged multiplier can carry a long way down. The weakness is everything underneath. Five top symbols pay 2.4x, the RTP is 94%, and no maximum win figure exists, so the base game has to be its own entertainment – and mostly it is.
