The Aristocrats Slot Review
A candlelit Versailles salon: cream-and-gilt panelling, red velvet armchairs, three stone basins heaped with glowing coins above a gold-framed set of reels. That setting is doing more work here than artwork usually does in a slot, because Betsoft has built The Aristocrats as one feature and a façade – almost everything the game pays lives in the hold-and-win round, and the reels between rounds are scenery.
The interesting argument is the coin pots. Where most hold-and-win games give you one bonus round, this one stacks three separate modifiers on top of it, and they can all fire at once. It’s a 5×3 slot with 25 fixed paylines and a maximum win of 10,000x the bet per round. Sister titles in the same stable include 3 Pots of Venice, The Oil Barons and The VIP. Powdered wigs at the ready, then.
Symbols and Pays
Wins pay left to right across the 25 fixed paylines, with only the highest combination counting on each line and coinciding wins on different lines added together. The pays below are multiples of the total bet.
- Wild – 0.6x, 3x or 10x for three, four or five
- Man (red wig) – 0.4x, 2x or 8x
- Women (purple, blue, green) – 0.2x, 1x or 5x each
- Heart, Diamond, Spade, Club – 0.2x, 0.4x or 2x each
The wild appears on all five reels and substitutes for everything except the BONUS and COIN POT BONUS symbols, so it never helps you reach the feature.
The paytable ceiling is a modest one for a 25-line game, and it tells you where the money is meant to come from: the pots, not the paylines. Everything coin-shaped lives in the hold-and-win round.
The Three Coin Pots
Above the reels sit three basins brimming with coins: COLLECT, MULTI and DOUBLE, each fed by its own COIN POT BONUS symbol. Whenever a matching symbol lands, that pot has a random chance of setting off the Hold & Win Feature. More than one pot can go on the same trigger, which is where the game gets its layers.
Collect Pot
The COLLECT POT can add a COLLECT symbol to the feature. When one appears, it gathers the values of every BONUS symbol on its board at that moment, and the collected symbols stay locked in place.
The COLLECT itself then stays on the board too, carrying the value it just gathered. A single collect can therefore be paid out again by a later one, and multiple collects work sequentially.
Multi Pot
The MULTI POT scatters random multipliers of 2x to 5x across the board during the feature. A new multiplier landing on an existing one combines the two, capped at 20x; once every position has hit that cap, further MULTI POT scattering is ignored.
If a BONUS symbol carries a multiplier, the multiplier applies to that symbol’s value before a COLLECT takes it. A collect therefore always gathers the boosted figure, never the base one.
Double Pot
DOUBLE POT is the loud one. It duplicates the entire board, BONUS and COLLECT symbols, their values and positions included, and from then on each board runs its own independent respin counter.
Effectively two hold-and-win rounds play out at once, each able to reach the full 15 locked positions on its own. The GRAND is reachable on both.
Hold & Win Feature
The feature awards 3 respins and starts before you’ve spun any of them: between 2 and 5 extra BONUS symbols are dropped onto random empty positions and locked in place. Each BONUS symbol carries either a cash value from 1x up to 20x the triggering bet, or one of the fixed prizes on the ladder.
Every new BONUS or COLLECT symbol that lands during the respins locks in place and resets the counter back to 3. Nothing is paid until the end, when every locked value is added up. With DOUBLE POT active, each board follows these rules on its own.
The fixed prizes sit alongside the cash values. Quoted at the game’s example bet of 2.00, the full ladder runs:
- MINI – 40.00, awarded per locked MINI symbol
- MINOR – 80.00, per locked MINOR
- MAJOR – 300.00, per locked MAJOR
- GRAND – 8,000.00, for locking all 15 positions on a board
Where the pots overlap, the order is fixed. DOUBLE POT activates first, then MULTI POT, then COLLECT POT, all before the first respin and after the extra BONUS symbols are added. If MULTI and COLLECT trigger together, MULTI goes first.
The BONUS and COLLECT symbols never appear in the base game, the regular paying symbols never appear in the feature, and COIN POT BONUS symbols transform into BONUS or COLLECT symbols when the round starts. The two halves of The Aristocrats don’t mix at all.
Buy Bonus
The Buy Bonus panel sells the feature with guaranteed pot coverage. The single-pot option can still see all three pots trigger, since up to three may fire on any given round; the triple-pot option simply takes the dice out of it. Prices are quoted at the game’s example bet of 2.00:
- Hold & Win with 1 guaranteed coin pot – 140.00
- Hold & Win with all 3 coin pots guaranteed – 260.00
The round is played at the bet of the triggering spin, bought or otherwise, and the 10,000x round cap applies either way. Both prices sit well under the GRAND’s 8,000.00 at the same bet.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing The Aristocrats is an exercise in waiting for the good room to open. You sit in the gorgeous one – the velvet, the candlelight, the coin-filled basins – spinning modest line wins until a pot finally tips over. That single round is why anybody picks it: no two of them play out the same way.
The strength is the stacking. Three pots on one respin grid means a round can escalate in three directions at once, and the fixed ordering means the escalation is deliberate rather than chaotic.
The weakness is everything the round isn’t: with the BONUS and COLLECT symbols locked out of the base game, the reels between features have nothing to build towards. This one belongs to players who play slots for the bonus round and treat everything before it as the queue. Anyone who wants a base game with its own story will find this salon beautifully furnished and largely empty.
The Aristocrats FAQs
-
How does the Hold & Win Feature trigger on The Aristocrats?
Through the coin pots. Each of the three pots – COLLECT, MULTI and DOUBLE – has a matching COIN POT BONUS symbol, and when one of those lands, its pot can randomly set off the feature. Several pots can trigger on the same spin. -
What does the DOUBLE POT do?
DOUBLE POT duplicates the entire game board during the Hold & Win Feature, including all BONUS and COLLECT symbols, their values and positions. Each board then runs independently with its own respin counter, so two full hold-and-win rounds play at once. -
Do the respins reset in The Aristocrats’ bonus round?
Yes. The feature starts with 3 respins, and any new BONUS or COLLECT symbol that lands during them locks in place and restores the count to 3. A board’s round runs until the respins are exhausted or all 15 positions are filled. -
What does the COLLECT symbol do?
When a COLLECT symbol appears during the feature, it gathers the values of every BONUS symbol on its board. The collected symbols aren’t removed, and the COLLECT itself then stays locked on the board as a BONUS symbol carrying the value it collected, so later collects can pay it again. -
How many paylines does The Aristocrats have?
It’s a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 25 fixed paylines. The game pays left to right, the highest win per line counts, and wins on different paylines are combined. -
What is the grid size of The Aristocrats?
The Aristocrats runs on a 5×3 grid – five reels and three rows – with 25 fixed paylines. -
Can you buy the bonus on The Aristocrats?
Yes. The Buy Bonus panel sells the Hold & Win Feature with 1 guaranteed coin pot for 140.00, or with all 3 coin pots guaranteed for 260.00, at the game’s example bet of 2.00. Up to 3 coin pots can trigger on any round, including the single-pot buy. -
Who makes The Aristocrats and when is it out?
The Aristocrats is a Betsoft slot. Its release date is 12 November 2026.
