Three Pots Of The Genie

Three Pots of The Genie Slot Review

The three glowing pots that sit beneath the reels of Play’n GO’s Three Pots of The Genie aren’t decorative flourishes. Each one represents a distinct enhancement that can activate during Lock’n Gold: the Blue Pot doubles selected Coin values, the Red Pot latches onto a single Coin and grows it throughout the entire feature, and the Purple Pot awards fixed instant prizes when its panel fills. The pots are the mechanic, and the mechanic is why this game stands apart from a crowded Hold and Win field.

Play’n GO are no strangers to Arabian and genie-themed territory, and the colourful fantasy setting here – golden pots, glowing gems, magic lamps, a commanding genie presence framing the reels – lands with clean presentation rather than cluttered spectacle. The three Gem Scatter colours (Blue, Red, Purple) are easy to read at a glance, which matters when each one triggers a different modifier. It’s a high-volatility title with a 10,000x max win ceiling: strong enough to be credible, not quite exceptional by current standards.

Base Game & Features

Three Pots of The Genie runs on a 6-reel, 4-row grid with 4,096 ways to win. Wins form through adjacent combinations reading left to right from the first reel, with only the highest combination paid per symbol group. The 4,096 ways produce enough smaller combinations to keep the reels moving between major events, though quiet stretches do appear when the Gem Scatters stay off the grid and base game wins stay modest.

Multiplier Wilds

Wild symbols can land on any reel during the base game and substitute for all symbols except Gem Scatters. Some Wilds arrive as standard substitutes; others carry 2x or 3x multipliers that apply to winning combinations they contribute to. They appear often enough to register across a session and add useful variety to standard base game wins, though they don’t appear at all during Lock’n Gold. In the base game context, they give certain spins more punch than the paytable alone would deliver.

Gem Scatters and Pot Collection

Three types of Gem Scatters exist alongside standard symbols: Double Scatters (Blue), Ignite Scatters (Red), and Bonus Scatters (Purple). When any Gem Scatter lands, it is collected into the corresponding pot beneath the reels, which grows visually. The visual fill creates a sense of building toward something – though it’s worth noting the pot fill is atmospheric rather than a trigger threshold. Lock’n Gold can activate whenever one or more Gem Scatters land, with the number of active Pot Bonuses (one, two, or all three) determined by which Scatter types triggered the feature.

Three Pots of The Genie Bonus Features

Everything in Three Pots of The Genie points toward Lock’n Gold. The re-spin feature awards four initial re-spins at the start. Coins land on the grid and stick in place. Whenever one or more Coins or Gem Scatters land during a re-spin, the counter resets to four. The feature ends when the counter reaches zero or the grid fills.

What distinguishes Three Pots of The Genie from standard Hold and Win titles is the layered modifier system that runs alongside the Coin collection. Up to three separate Pot Bonuses can be active simultaneously, each operating independently on the same Coin pool.

Blue Pot Bonus

When Blue Double Scatters land during Lock’n Gold, the Blue Pot Bonus activates. It selects between one and three Coins already locked on the grid and doubles each of their values immediately. The effect is immediate and visible – a useful consistent uplift that improves several values at once rather than following a single Coin through the round.

Red Pot Bonus

The Red Pot Bonus operates differently. When Red Ignite Scatters land during Lock’n Gold, the bonus selects a single Coin and increases its value progressively throughout the remainder of the feature. Every extension of the re-spin counter gives the selected Coin more time to grow. In a session where the Red Pot activated on a Coin starting at 8x, that Coin had grown to 64x by the end of the feature – the sustained trajectory creating more tension than a one-off doubling would.

Purple Pot Bonus

The Purple Pot Bonus awards instant fixed prizes when Purple Bonus Scatters fill the bonus panel. The prize tiers are:

• Mini Bonus: 20x total bet
• Minor Bonus: 50x total bet
• Major Bonus: 100x total bet
• Grand Bonus: 1,000x total bet

The Purple Pot prizes land on top of the accumulated Coin values rather than replacing them. A 50x Minor Bonus adds to whatever the Coins have built – it doesn’t absorb the round’s value. The Grand Bonus at 1,000x is a rare top outcome; Minor and Mini prizes represent the more typical range when the Purple Pot activates.

Bonus Buy

A Bonus Buy option is available for players who want direct access to Lock’n Gold without waiting for a natural trigger. This allows skipping the base game chase entirely, though availability varies by jurisdiction and the cost is not confirmed in current verified sources.

Our Honest Verdict

Overall Rating: 6.9/10

Play’n GO have a long record with Hold and Win formats, and Three Pots of The Genie sits comfortably within that tradition rather than pushing against it. The base game is functional: the 4,096 ways keep things moving, Multiplier Wilds give the occasional base spin more weight, and the pot-fill visuals create the sense of building toward something. The feature itself is where the game earns its review.

When only one Pot activates, Lock’n Gold is a capable if familiar re-spin round. When two or three Pot Bonuses run together, the character changes meaningfully: Blue doubles immediately, Red develops one Coin across the entire duration, and Purple adds fixed prizes alongside. Every re-spin extension carries visible consequence when multiple modifiers are in play. The re-spin counter dropping to one and a Purple Scatter landing to reset it, complete the Minor Bonus panel, and give the Red Pot more time to grow its selected Coin – that’s the moment the three-pot concept justifies itself most clearly.

The 96.2% RTP is solid in its default configuration, though operators can run lower settings down to 84.2%, which is worth checking before committing to longer sessions. The 10,000x max win is credible for the volatility level – strong rather than exceptional, connected to the feature design rather than detached from it.

Three Pots of The Genie suits Hold and Win fans, players who enjoy Arabian fantasy themes, and anyone who finds simultaneous multi-modifier bonuses more interesting than a single accumulation loop. Those who prefer frequent feature triggers or lower volatility won’t find much comfort in the quieter base game stretches. The feature plays best in shorter sessions – the base game can repeat itself during dry patches, and the true appeal lives squarely in what happens when all three pots come alive at once.
