Triple Blitz 7s Slot Review
A chrome cabinet stands on a spotlit casino stage, a purple curtain of light behind it and three flaming sevens burning blue, red and gold above the reels. Triple Blitz 7s, from Wizard Games, is the most dressed-up game with the plainest maths you’ll meet this year: a 3×3 grid, five winning lines and a bell worth 16x, wearing a Vegas marquee it never quite needed. The costume is the point, though, and the bonus system underneath earns it, stacking upgrades into rounds that grow far beyond what the cabinet promises.
It runs on a 3×3 grid with five winning lines, and the interesting part is what happens when bonus symbols land: free spins that can be upgraded, doubled onto a second set of reels, or loaded with jackpot prizes. Combinations of up to all three at once are on the table. That’s a lot of machinery for a game dressed in bells and BARs, and it’s what separates this one from the cabinet it’s impersonating.
Base Game & Features
The base game is a classic three-by-three setup. Five lines cross the grid, and only three-of-a-kind combinations pay. There’s no scatter to chase in the ordinary sense; the bonus symbols that drive the feature set simply appear on the reels as part of normal play, and each one carries an upgrade into the round it triggers.
The symbols are the traditional set: bells, tiered BARs and the flaming sevens from the marquee above the reels. The bell is the one worth chasing, and the paytable keeps everything in multiples of the line stake:
- Bell – 3 pays 16x
- Orange BAR (3-tier) – 3 pays 8x
- Blue BAR (2-tier) – 3 pays 5x
- BAR (single) – 3 pays 2x
- Any BAR – 3 pays 1x
Four of those five rows are BARs, which tells you how the grid is weighted. Three matching BARs of any tier still pay 1x, so the mixed combination works as a floor under otherwise modest spins. The tiered BARs stack in one graphic, the orange three-tier over the blue two-tier over the plain single, and that’s where the classic look does most of its work.
Wilds substitute for the other symbols, and they can land carrying a 2x multiplier, which turns a modest three-bell line into something more respectable.
The bet range is quiet on this one. Wizard Games publishes two RTP settings, 95.80% and 93.79%, and the casino chooses which one runs. What the game does state clearly is its feature set, and that’s where a 3×3 with five lines turns out to have real depth.
Triple Blitz 7s Free Spins & Upgrades
Bonus symbols appearing on the reels during the base game trigger the feature, and each one awards an upgrade. One bonus symbol gives you seven free spins with a single upgrade attached. Multiple bonus symbols stack their upgrades into the same round, and the combinations follow fixed rules rather than a random pick.
Free Spins Upgrade
The simplest of the three. Seven free spins are awarded, and the upgrade adds seven more for a total of 14 free spins. No extra symbols, no second screen, just a longer round on the same grid.
Double Reel Upgrade
This is the visual showpiece. The seven free spins play out on two sets of 3×3 reels side by side, doubling the real estate and the number of ways a spin can build into something. On a game this compact, the sudden width of the screen is the moment the round feels bigger than its cabinet.
Jackpot Upgrade
The jackpot variant adds Jackpot symbols and Jackpot prize symbols to the reels for the seven free spins. A prize lands when the two Jackpot symbols sit on reels 1 and 2 with a Jackpot prize on reel 3, completing the three-part combination. If the pattern forms again on a later spin, another prize is collected, so a single round can pay at the top more than once.
Combined Upgrades
Multiple bonus symbols trigger multiple upgrades together, and the combinations stack in fixed ways:
- Free Spins + Double Reel – 14 free spins on 2 sets of reels
- Free Spins + Jackpot – 14 free spins with Jackpot symbols and prizes
- Double Reel + Jackpot – 7 free spins on 2 screens with Jackpot symbols and prizes
- All three – 14 free spins on 2 sets of reels plus Jackpot symbols and prizes
Reading the list, the pattern is straightforward: the Free Spins upgrade sets the length of the round, the other two set its shape. Every two-upgrade combination is 14 spins except Double Reel with Jackpot, which stays at seven but spreads them across both screens with the prize symbols in play.
Bonus Buy
For players who’d rather not wait, the feature can be bought directly from the base game at a cost of 40x the current total bet. The buy sits in the top-right of the play frame, and it works the same way a natural trigger does: the purchase hands over one or more bonus symbols, and those symbols decide which upgrade or combination the round opens with.
There’s no mystery in the pricing. A single-symbol buy plays the same seven-spin round a lone reel symbol would have given, and the full three-upgrade round costs the same 40x as the thinnest one.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
Most of the time, this is a slow, honest three-reeler: small wins, BARs stacking into familiar shapes, the spotlight doing its work while you wait for bonus symbols to show up. The reason to sit through that is the stacking, because a trigger with two or three upgrades attached turns a humble little cabinet into fourteen spins across two screens with jackpot prizes on the reels.
That escalation is the best thing here – the round you actually want is a genuinely different animal from the one you’ll usually get, and the fixed combinations mean you always know what you’re aiming at. The worst thing is how little the base game pays on the way there; a 16x bell is a 1950s paytable, and four of the five symbol rows are BARs. It suits players who like old-fashioned reels but want something modern hiding inside them. Anyone after serious base-game money will find the marquee brighter than the maths, but the sevens are burning for a reason.
