Triple Crown Jewels

Triple Crown Jewels Slot Review

Purple drapes, fluted golden columns and a crown resting on its cushion frame the reels, and all of that gilt is spent decorating a fruit machine. Soko Games have built the most ornate treasure chamber they could render and then filled it with the oldest paytable in the business, and the mismatch is deliberate: everything this game pays flows through one symbol on one reel.

It’s a five-payline, 5×3 reel slot running at 95.05% RTP, with an Expanding Wild and a Scatter doing the feature work and nothing else. That’s a sparse toolkit by modern standards. Sister title Wild Sheriff Fortune covers similar ground for this studio, but Triple Crown Jewels is the more traditional of the two.

Base Game & Features

Five reels, three rows, five paylines. It’s the classic layout, and Triple Crown Jewels keeps every other part of the format classic too: you line up symbols left to right across the five lines and only the highest combination on each line counts.

• 5×3 grid with five fixed paylines
• Wins pay left to right on active lines
• Only the highest combination per line counts
• No cascades, no ways mechanic, no cluster pays

The symbol set is straight from the fruit-machine tradition, with a royal polish on top of it. Sevens, bells, trophies, bananas, berries and grapes fill the reels. The 7 sits well clear of everything below it, and the gap between the top prize and the fruit symbols is where this game’s personality lives.

Symbol pays, as multiples of the line stake:

• 7 – 2x for two, 12x for three, 50x for four, 400x for five
• Bell / Trophy – 5x for three, 20x for four, 100x for five
• Banana – 3x for three, 6x for four, 25x for five
• Berries / Grapes – 2x for three, 5x for four, 20x for five

The 7 is also the only symbol that pays for a two-of-a-kind, and that single quirk shapes the whole ladder. Two 7s return 2x the line stake on their own, before any wild involvement; five of them return 400x. No other symbol in the game starts paying below three of a kind.

The two mid-tier slots are shared tiers rather than single symbols. The Bell and the Trophy pay identical amounts at every count, so which of the two lands makes no difference to the return. Berries and grapes likewise share the bottom rung, paying 2x for a full three-of-a-kind and 20x for five.

Stepping down the five-of-a-kind column tells the story cleanly: 400x, 100x, 25x, 20x. The drop from the 7 to everything else is a factor of four, and from there the ladder flattens out. The Banana sits marginally above the berries and grapes tier, but not by enough to change how a spin feels.

One thing the game is quiet about: there’s no maximum win figure anywhere in it. No cap is stated, no ceiling is promised. The arithmetic of a best-case screen is there for anyone who wants to work it out, but the game itself commits to nothing.

Triple Crown Jewels Bonus Features

Two features carry the whole game, and both are modifiers rather than rounds. There’s nothing to trigger, nothing to pick and no mode to sit through. Everything that happens on the reels happens in the base game.

Expanding Wild

The Expanding Wild appears exclusively on the third reel. When it lands there, three things happen in sequence:

• The symbol expands to cover the entire reel, filling all three rows
• It substitutes for other symbols to help complete winning combinations
• Its own multiplier – x2, x3 or x5 – is applied to the value of any win it helps form

On a five-payline game, a fully expanded middle reel can contribute to several lines at once, so the multiplier is doing more work than it first appears to. An x2 Expanding Wild on reel three can turn a spin into a win of 10x the stake, illustrating a mid-range outcome.

It’s worth being precise about what the wild can and can’t do. It substitutes for other symbols to help create winning combinations, which means the 7 is the prize it’s there to complete: a full reel-three wild with 7s either side of it is the biggest single-line result the game can produce. What it can’t do is appear anywhere else, so four of the five reels never see it.

Scatter

The Scatter doesn’t need to land on a payline. Instead, it pays out when a certain number of Scatters appear anywhere on the reels, which makes it the one symbol in the game that ignores the five-line structure entirely. Every other symbol has to line up; the Scatter just has to show up.

That flexibility matters more here than it would on a larger game. With only five paylines running across fifteen positions, plenty of symbol placements earn nothing at all, and the Scatter is the only escape from that constraint. It also means a Scatter sitting in a corner position is worth exactly as much as one sitting dead centre on a line.

That’s the full feature list. No free spins round, no pick-me bonus, no ladder, no gamble feature. For a game dressed in this much gilt, the engineering underneath is deliberately plain.

Our Honest Verdict

Overall Rating: 6.1/10

Playing Triple Crown Jewels means watching the middle reel and waiting, as the outer four reels do plain fruit-machine work while reel three decides whether the spin matters, and the pleasure of the game is in how openly it’s built that way. The chamber dressing is a bonus, but you’d come here for that one loaded reel, not the drapes.

The Expanding Wild is the best thing in it, because the multiplier makes the only reel that can change the outcome also the one that changes what it pays. The weakness is starker: outside that wild and the Scatter, there is nothing, and four spins in five are just a five-line fruit machine with a 95.05% return that leans on you noticing.

This one’s for players who enjoy a long, patient chase after a single big symbol and don’t need a bonus round to justify opening a game. Anyone who wants layered features will be bored before the second cup of tea. For the patient type, though, the treasure room stays warm.
