USA Flip Slot Review 2024
Play’n GO are back with their Flip series with USA Flip, a successor to Danish Flip, which was released in 2013, and Super Flip that followed in 2015.
The latter games are lesser known with Danish Flip specifically tailored for the Danish Market, and USA Flip is similar in the sense that Play’n GO hope to attract an American fanbase.
The USA seems to be a point of interest for just about anyone wherever they may be, so USA Flip could well reel in a few fans outside of the states too.
This time around we’re hopping onto the dirt bike as the best stunt rider in America as we seek eternal glory in the eyes of the American audience.
Will USA Flip stand out as a prominent title for Play’n GO? We’re not yet convinced, but we’ll be giving it a try to find out.
USA Flip – The Base Game and Features
USA Flip is a 5 reel slot with 20 pay lines.
To form a win, you’ll need at least 3 of any symbol to connect from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the left-most reel. The highest paying symbols are the Wild. Motorbike, Wheel, Helmet, Firework and Glove. Low paying Symbols are Ace, King, Queen and Jack.
USA Flip is playable from £/€0.20 – £/€20 per spin.
USA Flip Re-Spin
A near-win Re-spin is triggered on a losing symbol whenever a full stack of the same symbol land on the first and second reels.
When this happens, the middle reel will respin with all other remaining reels locks. Free Spins may be triggered via a re-spin feature
USA Flip – Walking Wild
A Stacked Wild symbol can land on the middle reel after a respin is triggered.
The stacked Wild Symbols will then become a Walking Wild that moves right on reel for each respin until landing on the last reel.
Scatter symbols may not land during this feature, which is good or bad depending on how you look at it. It clears the reels for bigger wins, but can’t enter Free Spins.
USA Flip Free Spins
The Free Spins mode in USA Flip is triggered by landing 3 or more Scatter Symbols, which pay varying amounts depending on how many land
- 3 Scatters – 2 Coins
- 4 Scattesr – 40 Coins
- 5 Scatters – 250 Coins
During Free Spins, the reels are completely flipped to become a mirror image of the reels in the Base Game. This means that the Walking Wild will now walk left instead of right, which should make for bigger and easier to connect wins.
USA Flip – Our Verdict
Honestly? USA Flip just doesn’t do it for us.
It could perhaps do well with the American audience that it targets, but we don’t think even Play’n GO believes that USA Flip will be a big success in any other jurisdiction
The graphics and music is great, and the roaring crowd beneath the proud American Flag might bode well with our patriotic cousins across the pond, but there’s little here for anyone else.
The potential is extremely low with 1,000x as a maximum figure, and the flipped reels fail to produce enough excitement. Free Spins should be an exciting prospect with a multitude of different features, but the Wild walking left instead of right seems barely worth the effort.
We know slots are quite “primitive” in the USA. They’re yet to see the kind of innovation that we see from other providers every day because providers are only really starting to make moves to bring their games to the states. For those in America, this might feel fine, but for anyone who has played literally anything else it feels rather boring and basic.
We’re big fans of Play’n GO, but USA Flip fired up the bike, took the ramp, missed the mark, crashed, and exploded before the eyes of the crowd.
