Nolimit City are back with another entertaining new slot as we find ourselves in the Warriors Graveyard following the events of the savage and unforgiving Barbarian Fury, which was a massive hit and is still a game held in high regard by many.
It’s been said that meeting your demise on the battlefield is a glorious death, what surprises might the afterlife hold for our fallen warriors? And can the wins in Warrior Graveyard be just as glorious?
Warrior Graveyard Slot sees the return of an interesting mechanic pegged and trademarked by Nolimit City in the form of their xNudge Feature, and it’ll be interesting to see how the incorporate it into this game.
Nolimit City haven’t failed to impress this year, we’ve seen many an imaginative game like Monkey’s Gold xPays, Book of Shadows, Harlequin Carnival and many more.
We’re hoping that they continue this hot streak of great games going forward, and we’re hoping that Warrior Graveyard Slot takes a place among the greats developed by this provider, especially considering its connection to arguably the best game of them all, Barbarian Fury.
Glorious Death
Warrior Graveyard Slot understandable takes a more sombre theme than Barbarian Fury did. Chains and stone surround the reels while the background paints a dark picture. Headstones fill the background and an eerie mist floats ominously as it pours with rain.
The spooky theme is perfect at creating a setting like this. Haunting music creates for an even more dramatic experience, and is great for conveying that unsettled and sinister theme.
Betting and Symbols
Betting for Warrior Graveyard Slot covers an expansive number of options with the lowest option at £0.25, and the highest at 100. There’s lots of options in between the two as well.
There’s definitely a stake for everyone, with the exception of those who play exclusively at £0.10. There are 15 symbols in total in Warrior Graveyard, with the top symbols taking a less conventional approach with being stacked symbols.
All of our top symbols have long since departed the world of the living, with the top symbol being the red framed warrior. Orange, Green, Blue and Grey are the other high paying symbols.
Low symbols are represented by Sword, Shield, Helmet, Axe and hammer. There’s also a Wild symbol, which also acts as a Scatter for the Bonus round.
The Base Game and Features
Warrior Graveyard Slot is a 6-reel, 3-row video slot, which uses a more classical payline mechanic. There are 25 paylines in total, and all are active at all times regardless of the stake you choose.
Winning combinations will pay from left to right, so landing 3 matching symbols, or 2 and a wild, will form a win.
As mentioned, Warrior Graveyard Slot welcomes the return of the xNudge Mechanic, this will play its part in multiple aspects of the game, the first of which being xNudge Tombstone Wilds.
xNudge Tombstone Wilds
There are 3-high Wild symbols that exists on reels 2, 3, 4 & 5. When these land partially in view, they will always nudge to become fully visible. Each nudge will increase the multiplier by one, and several Wild multipliers will add to each other for a total multiplier on the line.
Similar to what we’ve seen before in previous Nolimit City games, and a great feature at that. Ideally, you’ll land these in partial view so that you can get one or two nudges to get that multiplier up. The xNudge feature once again makes an appearance in Warrior Attack.
Warrior Attack
Landing 3 or more of the same Warrior top symbols will trigger a Warrior Attack. The symbols will then nudge to cover the reel, adding a multiplier which each nudge before moving to the left of the reel.
Big Wins are possible here, especially if you land 3 or more of one of the higher warrior symbols. Potential huge hits will depend on them nudging multipliers as well.
Graveyard Spins
The bonus round in Warrior Graveyard Slot is triggered when you land 3 or more scatter symbols anywhere in view. 3, 4 or 5 Scatters will trigger 8, 10 or 12 Graveyard Free Spins respectively
In this game, Tombstone Wilds will award an unlimited win multiplier that will persist for the entirety of the feature. For every step the Tombstone Wild nudges, you’ll increase the multiplier by 1. Landing Scatter symbols will also add an extra spin each.
During Graveyard spins, you’ll be relying on the features of the xNudge Tombstone Wilds to get that multiplier up, and then you’ll want a Warrior Attack for some nice wins with your newly obtained multiplier.
Be warned though, the bonus can be very unforgiving in the sense that you may not even see a Warrior Attack in the bonus.
Death Spins
Death Spins is the top available feature in the game, and is obtained when you land 6 Scatter symbols. 14 Spins will be awarded.
Tombstone Wilds stick to the reels once landed and award a multiplier for every nudge as usual. Some potentially massive hits are possible here with sticky Wild stacks.
Our Verdict
It might be possible that while Warrior Graveyard Slot can be unforgiving, it might be better than Barbarian Fury was.
A multitude of features are available in this game, as well as 2 different kinds of bonus games. The xNudge mechanic really plays its part in giving the game all kinds of thrills, as well as some potential big wins.
The Warrior Attack is a feature that will get you really excited, if you can manage to land it, and especially so with one of the higher symbols.
The top win declared by Nolimit City is an impressive 9,797x, which would be absolutely huge regardless of what s take you play on.
Death Spins are the main event in the game, but it’s hard to trigger with 6 scatters needed. If you do trigger it, you’ll hopefully see what this game can be capable of.
Overall, Warrior Graveyard Slot is a great game, savage in nature and not for the faint of heart, and a worthy successor to the highly-coveted Barbarian Fury.
