Hell of a Deal Demo
Hell of a Deal Slot Review
Making a deal with the Devil is usually risky business, but we’re here to find out if that statement is true in Light & Wonder’s latest release, Hell of a Deal!
The fiery pits of Hell is an unfortunate place we’ve found ourselves in time and time again. SixSixSix, 4 Deals with Devil, and Devil’s Crossroad are a few of our favourite titles that shine Hell in a welcoming and flattering light.
Light & Wonder’s depiction of Hell shares similarities to a wide range of Deal or No Deal titles, with a few new features and mechanics of its own. Hell of a Deal will have you on the edge of your seat as the Devil himself watches over the grid, meddling in your fortune.
Base Game & Features
Situated across 5 reels and 3 rows, Hell of a Deal features individual panels of Free Spins and Cash Prizes. Combined with 20 fixed pay lines, wins occur when 3 or more matching symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
Low-paying card suits award wins between 0.2x and 2x your bet, whereas High-paying symbols deliver wins between 2.5x and 25x your bet for a 3-5 winning combination. Other noteworthy statistics include a theoretical RTP of 96.13%, a Low Volatility rating, and a max win cap of 500x your bet.
Devil Modifiers
During gameplay, up to 3 Devil Modifiers can randomly trigger. These modifiers are as follows:
- Reel Switch: The devil above the reels will switch the position of 2 random reels, after which any line wins are paid out
- Random Wilds: The devil will replace between 2 and 15 symbols on the reels with Wilds, after which any win lines are paid out
- Random Bonus: The devil will replace up to 3 symbols with Bonus Scatters.
Hold & Spin Bonus
Triggered when 6 or more Coin symbols land in view, the Hold & Spin round awards 3 Respins which reset each time a new Coin symbol hits.
At the start of this round, a random reel position is selected as the Hot Zone. If a Coin symbol lands within the Hot Zone, all positions surrounding it are multiplied by the value shown in the Hot Zone.
After each spin, it is possible for the Devil to randomly double the value of a present Coin symbol. Each Coin symbol may only be doubled once and is assigned a value between 1x and 500x your bet. You may also land the max win Coin which immediately awards 500x your bet.
Hell of a Deal Bonus
Landing 3 Bonus Scatters on reels 2, 3, and 4 in the base game triggers the Hell of a Deal Bonus. Once triggered, the Devil will award Free Spins, a Cash Prize, or a combination of both.
At the start, you will be met with a selection of 22 Boxes, where you need to choose 1 as your own. After selection, you’ll move on to the first of 6 Rounds, where you are to eliminate a number of boxes. After each round, the Devil will make you an offer, and it’s your job to Accept or Decline.
Accepting the offer will automatically award you the number of Free Spins or Cash Prize respectively. If you decline, you will proceed to the next round and begin eliminating additional boxes.
If you play through all 6 rounds, you will then decide whether to keep your original box or switch it for the last remaining on screen. Please note, that it is possible for the Devil’s offer to include a Gamble, where you can be awarded an extra Spin or Cash Prize.
In addition, there is an Autoplay function where the Devil will select boxes at random to eliminate per round. Below each offer the Devil makes is a percentage value which indicates the likelihood of being awarded an extra spin if you are to accept his offer.
Free Spins
Triggering Free Spins can only be done so via the Hell of a Deal Bonus. The number of starting Free Spins is equal to the number awarded during this time.
While playing Free Spins, it is possible for the Devil to randomly collect the cash value of any Coin symbols in view. In addition, the Hold & Spin round may also trigger during this time.
If the max win Coin worth 500x your bet is collected, the Free Spins round will end and you will automatically receive this amount times your bet.

Our Verdict
Hell of a Deal has a lot more going for it than initially meets the eye. At first glance, it comes across as a little antiquated, considering its release date of October 2024, just in time for Halloween.
However, upon further inspection, Hell of a Deal takes inspiration from a popular television game show, Deal or No Deal, which has naturally become the star of its own show in many Blueprint Gaming releases.
Although limited in max win capabilities, Hell of a Deal is a rather engaging and highly-anticipating slot, combined with multiple features and functions. The 500x max win cap is definitely disappointing, yet the 96.13% RTP is fair and consistent with some of the best titles to date.
Hell of a Deal introduces a new audience to the Deal or No Deal concept through creative ideas and skills, making it stand out as more than just a slot within the iGaming market.
