About ESA Gaming
ESA Gaming was founded in 2009 by a team of iGaming veterans, though it spent the better part of its early years building infrastructure rather than slots.
The initial focus was on developing a content aggregator and poker network, and it’s only more recently that the software developer has shifted meaningful attention towards its own games portfolio. Headquartered in St. Julians, Malta, ESA operates under an MGA licence (MGA/B2B/650/2018) and holds additional certifications across a range of regulated markets, with a growing presence in Africa. The studio has momentum across 37+ countries and 14 languages.
That aggregator background is still central to what ESA does today. The Game Aggregator System (GAS) serves over 90 content providers across multiple European markets, with certifications in Malta, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Colombia, and Brazil. The operator distribution network currently covers more than 160 partners across regulated markets.
The games side of the business is built around one consistent philosophy. The stated approach is to keep things simple, fast, and mobile, and that comes through most clearly in EasySwipe — ESA’s signature product suite.
EasySwipe titles are designed to be as lightweight as possible and are particularly popular with sportsbook operators, allowing players to dip into casino content without leaving their betting environment. The suite includes mine-style games like Goal Mine and Pirate Mine, and crash-format titles such as Big Fish Bonanza and Rocket Racers — formats that travel well into markets where traditional slots have less traction
On the conventional slots side, the portfolio is compact but covers familiar ground. Titles such as Candy Drops, Big Fish Bonanza, and Clover Drops represent the studio’s commitment to mobile-first design, with HD visuals and clean interfaces.
The newest development worth noting is OpenSlots — an AI-powered no-code game builder currently in internal use and expected for commercial release soon, designed to let non-technical users design, test, and publish compliant slots using ESA’s existing distribution network. It’s an ambitious pivot that reflects where the studio sees its longer-term value: not just in making games, but in lowering the barriers to making them.
“ESA is an interesting case because the aggregator side of the business is genuinely well-built with the GAS side of things. The slots catalogue is still quite thin, though, and Candy Drops, while polished, isn’t a title that moves the needle on its own.” Mark, Content Editor
“I don’t cover ESA as often as some of the bigger names, but Clover Drops is a fine slot if you want something low-key. Honestly though, the catalogue needs more headline titles before I’d build a session around them.” Josh G, Fruity Slots Co-Founder & Streamer
