12 Masks of Fire Drums

12 Masks of Fire Drums Slot Review

A huge carved wooden mask looms over the reels of 12 Masks of Fire Drums, its patterned brow framing two ice-blue slit eyes that beam light across a gold-edged frame, while a tapering gold ladder of numbered tiers sits planted in a ceremonial bowl heaped with blue crystals. All that gilt is pointing you somewhere, and it isn’t the reels: the best five-of-a-kind pays 50x the line bet, while a single prize at the top of the ladder pays 3,000x the total bet. The base game is a waiting room, and the Collect ladder is the whole point of sitting in it.

12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy and 12 Masks of Fire Eruption Prize Flow make this a busy family for Gameburger Studios, and this one keeps the family formula: a 5×3 grid, 20 paylines, a 96.00% RTP, high volatility and stakes from 0.20 to 80.00.

How far up the ladder a session climbs decides what this game pays. The reels are mostly there to keep the fire lit while you wait.

Base Game & Features

The 20 paylines are fixed, and wins pay left to right from the first reel. A payline is a pattern of adjacent symbol positions running across the reels, and matching symbols landing next to each other on that line award the win. Where several combinations land on one line, only the highest counts.

Wins land on roughly a fifth of spins, so there’s usually something ticking over. The bet multiplier is 10, and payouts are relative to the base bet, which is the total bet divided across the lines played. The total payout on any spin is the sum of all payline wins and scatter wins together.

The wild substitutes for every symbol except Epic Strike, Free Spin, Extra Spin and Collect, and wilds that land in the base game are collected, giving a random chance of triggering the Epic Strike Bonus. The collection pots you see filling up are visual only; they don’t influence what’s awarded.

The paytable is where the reels’ modesty shows. All values are multiples of the line bet:

• Red 7 (Fire): 25x for four, 50x for five
• Gold 7: 7x for four, 15x for five
• White 7: 5x for four, 10x for five
• Any 7: 1.4x for four, 3x for five
• Dollar Sign: 0.6x for three, 1.4x for four
• Bell: 0.4x for three, 1.2x for four
• Bar and Cherry: 0.2x for three, 0.6x for four

The three 7s each carry their own five-of-a-kind value, with the Any 7 line sitting underneath as a catch-all for mixed sevens. Five of the best symbol on the board pays 50x. Everything below it falls away quickly, which tells you the line wins alone won’t carry a session.

Autoplay is base game only. You set the number of spins, and the session plays out at the current bet until the count runs down or a limit bites. Win and loss limits can end the run early, and triggering any feature stops it dead. Quickspin resolves spins faster without touching the results, and pressing the spacebar starts or stops a spin, which likewise changes nothing about the outcome.

12 Masks of Fire Drums Free Spins & Epic Strike Bonus

Epic Strike Bonus

The Epic Strike symbol is a scatter that pays when three or more appear anywhere on the reels, with only the highest combination paid. Prize values run from 1x up to 3,000x the total bet, and the number of scatters landed determines the prize. Wilds can’t stand in for an Epic Strike symbol.

Collected wilds can also set the feature off, and that route awards either a random cash prize or Free Spins. This feature triggers in the base game only, and the two routes stack into one ladder: the gold tiers numbered 3 up to 12 in the ceremonial bowl beside the reels are the Epic Strike prize steps.

Rising Rewards Free Spins Multiplier

Two Free Spin symbols landing on reels 2 and 3 during the base game raise the Free Spins multiplier by 1x, and it accumulates up to a maximum of 10x. The meter sits beside the reels and quietly builds while you play.

The multiplier applies to line wins during Free Spins but doesn’t grow once the feature starts. It resets to 1x when the bonus finishes, though it can randomly reset to 2x, 3x or 4x instead. Those partial resets keep something of the climb intact for the next round.

Free Spins Bonus

Three Free Spin symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 award three free spins at Bonus Level 1. Collect symbols appear during the round, and accumulating the required number advances you a level. Each level adds one row to the reels, taking paylines up to 48, and resets the remaining free spins to three.

When the bonus ends, whether through empty spins or reaching the top, a single cash prize is paid at your current level:

• Level 1: 4x
• Level 2: 5 Collect symbols, 5x
• Level 3: 10 more Collects, 15x
• Level 4: 15 more Collects, 25x
• Level 5: 20 more Collects, 50x
• Level 6: 25 more Collects, 100x
• Level 7: 35 more Collects, 250x
• Level 8: 55 more Collects, 1,000x, then 70 further Collects for 3,000x

Collect symbols over the requirement don’t carry over, so nothing banks between levels, and each level-up zeroes the count you’ve been building. An Extra Spin symbol on reel 5 adds one free spin, and it only appears in this bonus. Epic Strike and Free Spin symbols don’t appear during the round, and every bet played matches the spin that triggered the feature.

Only one cash prize is awarded per bonus, so a round that stalls at level 3 pays 15x regardless of what the reels produced along the way. That single-prize structure is what gives the ladder its pull: the level you reach is the whole result.

Our Honest Verdict

Overall Rating: 6.9/10

A session here is mostly watching the mask glow and waiting for a ladder you can’t rush, and that patience is exactly why somebody would pick this fire over a faster one. The best thing in the game is the level-up reset: every rung hands back three fresh spins, so a warm streak of Collects can stretch a round far past what three spins should allow.

The weakness is just as real. The line pays are thin, nothing banks between levels, and most rounds will cash out in the lower multiples. This is one for players who enjoy the climb itself, at stakes small enough to survive the quiet spells; anyone who wants their money from the reels rather than the ladder has warmer seats elsewhere.
