Armageddon 10K Ways Slot Review
Dusk sits over a ruined city, a pink and lilac sky behind broken skyscraper silhouettes, and the reels are bolted into a hulking armoured chassis with hydraulic pistons down the sides and amber hazard lamps glowing in the frame. A glowing furnace port trails loose cables across the rubble at the bottom. Armageddon 10K Ways, ReelPlay‘s hell-invasion entry in the 10K Ways line, keeps almost all of its real money in one place: the base paytable below its premiums is loose change, and everything that matters is waiting behind six scatters.
It runs a 6×5 grid with up to 10,000 ways to win, 96% RTP, medium-high volatility and a 10,338x max win, with bets from 0.20 to 20 per spin. Where Atlantis 10K Ways and Hercules 10K Ways kept the format tidy, this one hands it a plasma rifle. The demons are coming either way.
Base Game & Features
Six reels and five rows carry up to 10,000 ways, paying left to right on adjacent reels. Only the positions containing the winning symbol count towards that symbol’s win, and a way needs the same symbol on consecutive reels from the leftmost one onwards.
A horizontal reel sits above the grid and adds a symbol to the reel beneath it on reels two, three, four and five. That’s where the extra reach comes from. Four of the six reels can receive a top-up the main grid can’t see coming, which quietly raises the ceiling on every spin.
Every winning symbol then explodes. Replacements drop in from above on the main reels and from the right on the top reel, so a single spin can chain into several wins before it settles.
It’s the classic cascade loop, dressed in fire and rubble. Below the premiums, most of the base game’s money comes from these chains rather than any single line.
The Soldier is wild, substitutes for all symbols except the scatter, and appears on the top reel only during the base game.
The paytable splits into four premium monster symbols and six royals. Values below are multiples of your total bet, read at the default 1.00 stake:
- Top premium: 3 = 5x, 4 = 10x, 5 = 30x, 6 = 100x
- Second premium: 3 = 0.5x, 4 = 1.5x, 5 = 2.5x, 6 = 5x
- Third premium: 3 = 0.25x, 4 = 0.75x, 5 = 1.5x, 6 = 2.5x
- Fourth premium: 3 = 0.25x, 4 = 0.5x, 5 = 1x, 6 = 2x
- Royal one: 3 = 0.2x, 4 = 0.3x, 5 = 0.6x, 6 = 1.2x
- Royal two: 3 = 0.15x, 4 = 0.3x, 5 = 0.6x, 6 = 1x
- Royal three: 3 = 0.15x, 4 = 0.3x, 5 = 0.5x, 6 = 0.9x
- Royal four: 3 = 0.15x, 4 = 0.25x, 5 = 0.5x, 6 = 0.7x
- Royal five: 3 = 0.1x, 4 = 0.25x, 5 = 0.4x, 6 = 0.6x
- Royal six: 3 = 0.1x, 4 = 0.2x, 5 = 0.4x, 6 = 0.5x
Only the highest win per combination pays, and coinciding wins add together. Below the top premium, the royal end of the table is small change.
Armageddon 10K Ways Bonus Respins
Triggering the Round
Six or more scatter symbols anywhere in view trigger the Bonus Respins. Three respins are awarded, all scatters are held, and every remaining position spins independently. Each position lands either a prize symbol or a blank.
Any new prize symbol that lands is held, and the respin count resets to three. After the first respin, all held prizes stay locked while the open positions spin again. Run out of respins or fill the grid, and the round closes.
At the end, each held symbol pays its displayed value. The round plays at the bet of the triggering spin, so a feature caught at 0.20 pays on 0.20 and one caught at 20 pays on 20.
Demons and the Soldier
Demons, the Soldier and scatters all count as prize symbols. The four demons carry life values: red starts at four, purple at three, green at two and blue at one. Demon and scatter symbols each display a cash or bonus prize.
When the Soldier lands, his value is the sum of every demon prize currently holding a life above zero. He only appears if demons are on screen, and there’s a maximum of one per respin. Every visible demon then loses one life.
A demon with lives left can be harvested again on a later respin, which is what gives the round its momentum. A red demon surviving at full life is worth up to four visits from the Soldier; a blue demon pays once and burns out.
The Prize Ladder
Non-bonus prizes on scatters run from 1x to 100x the total bet, with the demons covering slightly different floors:
- Scatter prizes: 1x to 100x total bet
- Red demon prizes: 2.5x to 100x total bet
- Purple demon prizes: 2x to 100x total bet
- Green demon prizes: 1.5x to 100x total bet
- Blue demon prizes: 1x to 100x total bet
Four bonus prizes sit above the cash values. They’re fixed rather than progressive:
- Mini: 10x total bet
- Minor: 50x total bet
- Major: 250x total bet
- Grand: 2,000x total bet
The Mini and Minor can be won more than once in a single feature. The Major and Grand are one each per round. Symbol pays from the regular paytable don’t apply during respins, and any prize already shown on a symbol has the bet multiplied in.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Playing this is a long patrol through a very handsome apocalypse: chained ways wins ticking past the rubble while you count scatters and wait for the one round the whole game is built around. That round is the reason anybody picks it, and it’s a good one. Demon life values mean a single bonus can pay the same prizes several times over, the ladder’s Mini and Minor repeat, and a 2,000x Grand under a 10,338x ceiling gives the feature genuine reach.
The weakness is everything outside it. The base paytable below the premiums is small change, so between triggers there’s nothing building towards anything. For hold-and-collect players who enjoy the wait as much as the payoff, that’s the deal and the art carries it; anyone who wants a base game that pays its own way will find the rubble thin picking. Worth holding the line for, if the line is your kind of fight.
