Breezin Riches LOCKNWIN Slot Review
A gold cat in sunglasses lounges in the shallows on a pink inflatable unicorn, coconuts hang from a leaning palm, and the sea behind it is the turquoise of a holiday poster. Breezin Riches LOCKNWIN doesn’t pretend the beach is anything but a backdrop for its machinery, and the machinery is the interesting part: a top row that spins sideways and edits the reels underneath it, feeding a hold-and-collect round that comes in three flavours.
It’s a PearFiction Studios build, running at 96.01% RTP on medium volatility, with stakes from 0.2 to 25.00 per spin. The grid starts as a 5×3 with 243 ways, and the top row can stretch it to 7,776. Fans of the studio’s collect-and-lock work will recognise the bones from Squealin’ Riches and Chicago Gold 2 Lock N Win. Here, the beach is doing the lounging; the reels are working.
Base Game & Features
The structure is a 5×3 grid with a single horizontal reel sitting above it, and that top reel is where most of the game’s character lives. It spins sideways rather than down, and every symbol it lands affects the grid underneath. A way is a pattern of adjacent symbol positions running across the reels, paying left to right from the first reel, and only the highest winning combination per symbol counts.
Payouts are based on the initial bet rather than the total. The total bet is the initial bet multiplied by a way cost of 10, so the paytable reads as multiples of one tenth of your stake. Wins from different ways in the same spin are summed into the total payout.
Topgraderz Symbols
The top row can award seven different Topgraderz symbols, and each one does something distinct. Split symbols are the ones that change the shape of the game.
- Split Symbols – add 1, 2 or 3 symbols to the reel directly below, growing the ways count
- Boost Symbols – increase the value of collected Cash symbols by 1x to 25x bet; values run 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 25
- Multiplier Symbols – multiply a random Cash symbol by x2 to x100; values run 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 50, 75, 100
- Collect Symbol – collects all existing Cash symbols; appears only in the LockNWin round
- Sticky Collect Symbol – same collection, and it stays on screen for 2 or 3 spins
- Wild Symbol – awards a stacked wild reel on reels 2 to 5
- Sticky Wild Symbol – same stacked wild, held for 2 or 3 spins
Boost and Multiplier symbols only become active in the base game when a Collect symbol is already on the reels, so they spend most of their time as dormant passengers. The reel growth from Split symbols carries over into the LockNWin round, which is the detail that makes them worth watching.
The wilds themselves land on reels 2 to 5, stack, and substitute for everything except Pot, Collect, Topgraderz and Cash symbols. One curiosity: a sticky wild’s board position is saved per bet level, so the reel it last landed on is remembered at the stake you left it.
The Collect Feature
Cash Value symbols carry between 1x and 100x the total bet, from a ladder of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50, 60, 75 and 100. When a Collect symbol lands on reel 1 or 5, every Cash Value symbol on screen is paid out. Two Collect symbols in one spin pays the lot twice.
The Collect feature can’t trigger at the same time as the LockNWin round, so a screen full of cash never pays through both routes on one spin.
Pot Symbols
Three coloured Pot symbols, green, violet and red, land in the base game and collect into matching pots above the reels. It’s a visual tally only; the collection doesn’t influence what triggers. What matters is which Pot lands when the LockNWin fires, because that decides which variant you get.
Pot symbols carry no payout of their own and never appear inside the feature, so their entire job is the one they do in the base game. Separately, a Bonus star symbol collects on each reel, and a full set of five awards all three LockNWin variants in a single round. Bonus stars bank across several spins, and more than one can land at a time.
Breezin Riches LOCKNWIN Bonus Rounds
The LockNWin round is a respin collect. Three respins are awarded, and everything clears except the Cash Value symbols, which lock where they land. Every Cash Value or Jackpot coin that lands resets the count back to three, so a round lives exactly as long as it keeps landing.
It ends when the respins run out or the reels fill with cash, and wins from the round stack on top of base game wins. Cash symbols inside the round use the same 1x to 100x ladder as the base game. Which Pot triggered it decides the flavour:
- Green Pot – MaxSplits LockNWin: all reels upgrade to 6 split rows, maximising the space cash can fill
- Violet Pot – Jackpots LockNWin: filling every position on a jackpot ladder awards that jackpot, and more than one can be won in a round
- Red Pot – 4Lives LockNWin: four respins instead of three, resetting to four on every cash or jackpot coin
The jackpot ladder itself runs Mini, Minor, Major, Grand and Epic. The sticky Collect symbol, which only appears inside the round, can hoover the board twice or three times over, and the Boost and Multiplier symbols from the top row are live here too.
Put together, a single sticky collect can turn a modest board into something much larger. A full MaxSplits board carrying 100x cash values, a multiplier on top and a sticky collect is the round every respin game is built around.
There’s no maximum win figure for this one. No cap is published anywhere, so the honest ceiling is whatever a full board of top-value cash symbols and multipliers can assemble.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.8/10
What Breezin Riches does best is give the base game a job. The top row means the five reels below it are never quite fixed; a split symbol changes the ways count mid-spin, a sticky wild can hold a stacked reel for three spins, and the hit rate of 24.5% keeps the screen alive between features. That’s rarer than it should be in a collect-and-lock build.
The weakness is that the three LockNWin variants share one skeleton. MaxSplits, Jackpots and 4Lives are the same respin collect with one dial turned differently, and the green pot’s extra rows are the only variant that visibly changes how a round plays. The base game Collect feature is the quieter pleasure: two collect symbols doubling a board of cash values is a genuinely tense spin.
Medium volatility and a 96.01% RTP make it a comfortable sit rather than a white-knuckle one. It suits players who like watching a board fill up and who’d rather build a win than chase one, and the cat on the unicorn is honest about the mood: this is a deckchair slot, not a rollercoaster.
