Coin Fusion Slot Review
A slot that starts with nine cells has no business promising a 25,000x ceiling, and Coin Fusion makes that promise anyway. Mancala Gaming have built the whole game around the tension between how small the grid looks and how far it can stretch: a base game where a single Coin is the entire paytable, feeding a bonus round that adds a reel every time you fill a column. Few games ask you to do so much waiting for so much growth.
Symbols pay anywhere on the reels, volatility is high, and no RTP is published for this one. The road to that ceiling runs through coins, mystery reveals and a Magic Reel that wants a cut of your winnings before it will spin.
Base Game & Features
The base game is a sparse place. Coins land, or they don’t, and there’s no payline structure to fall back on: symbols pay anywhere on the reels, so a Coin counts wherever it sits. That’s the whole mechanic, and the paytable is short enough to match.
- Coin: 4.00 to 2000.00 in credits
Everything else on the grid exists to get you into the bonus. Five symbols, one chain, and every link feeds the next.
- Coins: the only paying symbol, landing anywhere on the grid
- Double Symbol: appears only with Coins, multiplies coin values by x2
- Mystery Symbol: max one per reel, reveals into a Coin or a Respin Trigger
- Respin Trigger: +1 to the respins counter (max 6) and starts the Bonus Game
- Collector Symbol: bonus only, collects Coin winnings once
Double Symbol
The Double Symbol appears only alongside Coins and applies an x2 multiplier to the coin values on the grid. In the bonus it grows teeth: it carries lives, and each life lost triggers a respin and resets the respins counter. When the lives run out, the symbol leaves the grid.
So a life spent is a respin gained, and the counter resets with it. A dying Double can extend a round it no longer multiplies in, which makes its arrival late in a round more useful than its arithmetic alone suggests.
Mystery Symbol
A maximum of one Mystery Symbol can appear per reel. It reveals into either a Coin or a Respin Trigger, and the Respin Trigger can only ever come from a Mystery reveal. The Mystery itself and the Respin Trigger it produces don’t take part in the bonus round.
So the reveal is a fork. A Coin adds to what’s on the grid now; a Respin Trigger banks a respin for the round ahead and starts it. Neither outcome can be steered, and neither symbol survives into the bonus it creates.
Respin Trigger
This one does exactly what the name says. It adds +1 to the respins counter, which maxes out at six, and it starts the Bonus Game. Simple, and the only door into the round.
HyperPlay
HyperPlay is a player-activated mode that raises the bet by 25%. In exchange, Mystery symbols become more likely to appear. It’s the only lever in the base game that changes the odds, and it works entirely through that Mystery reveal chain.
The logic is straightforward: more Mysteries mean more reveals, and more reveals mean more Respin Triggers and a better-stocked counter when the bonus begins. The extra cost is per spin, so it adds up over a session.
Coin Fusion Bonus Game & Special Offer
The Bonus Game begins on the same 3×3 grid, but it doesn’t stay there. Every time a reel becomes fully filled with Coins or other eligible symbols, the grid expands by one reel. It starts at three reels by three rows and caps out at seven reels by three rows. Growth is the reward for filling, and filling is the only way to grow.
Each new symbol that lands during the round resets the respins counter to its starting digit. Mystery outcomes collected in the base game can push that counter as high as six before the round even begins. The grid and the counter feed each other: more respins mean more chances to fill, and more filled reels mean more room for coins.
The round runs its course in a fixed sequence. Coins land and stick, Doubles multiply what’s there, Collectors sweep the winnings once, and the counter ticks down between arrivals until a fresh symbol resets it. The round ends when the respins run out with nothing new landing.
Everything collected on the grid up to that point is what the round pays, and the Special Offer is the only thing that can follow it.
Collector Symbol
The Collector appears only in the bonus and never in the base game. It collects the winnings from Coins once, then it’s done. One collection, no repeats, so where it lands on the grid matters.
Special Offer Round
Filling the entire grid with Coins or eligible symbols presents a choice: pay a quarter of your current winnings to spin the Magic Reel, or don’t. The Magic Reel is a single 1×3 spin, and its outcomes run from jackpot to nothing.
- Jackpots: Ultra, Grand, Major, Minor, Mini
- Bet prizes: x50, x25, x10
- Empty: no winnings
The entry fee scales with your success, which is an unusual piece of design. The better the bonus round went, the more the Magic Reel costs to spin, and the Empty outcome returns nothing for the trouble.
Buy Bonus
There’s no need to wait on a Mystery reveal. A Respins Bonus Game with up to six respins can be bought outright for 100x the bet, dropping you straight into the round with the counter at its ceiling.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing Coin Fusion is mostly watching a near-empty grid and trusting it to bloom. The one reason to sit through that is the bonus round, where the screen you started with stops being the screen you finish on and the gold starts stacking up.
Its best idea is that the grid grows only when you earn it: filling a column is both the achievement and the reward, and every added reel makes the next fill more likely to matter. Its worst is the Special Offer Round, which charges a quarter of a good round for a spin that can pay nothing at all.
This is one for players who like a slow build and a finish worth waiting for. Anyone chasing regular small wins will go hungry between bonuses. If patience is your game, Coin Fusion will keep the gold warm until you are.
