Dragonlings II: The Lost King’s Riches Power Combo Slot Review
A crowned skeleton slumps against a treasure cavern wall, one bony hand still on its sword, lit from below by a magenta-purple glow, while three dragon eggs above the reels throw green, red and blue halos onto the stones. For a game guarding a dead king’s hoard, it is remarkably uninterested in resting on what it has: every spin you play here quietly improves the one that comes after.
The argument here is that a bonus round decided by colour never plays the same way twice. Infinity Dragon Studios has built a denser machine than the one behind Gates of Asgard Power Combo: a 5×3 grid, 40 paylines, medium-high volatility, a total RTP of 96.15% and stakes from 0.20 to 25.00 per spin, with a top prize of 10,000x the total bet on its fixed ladder. A five-stage quest permanently upgrades the game the longer you stay. The lost king left behind more than bones.
Base Game & Features
This is a five-reel, three-row slot with 40 fixed paylines. Wins pay left to right from the first reel, and only the highest combination on each line counts. Stakes run from 0.20 to 25.00 per spin, and the hit rate sits at 33.93%, so something lands roughly every third spin.
The paytable is a conventional ladder headed by the premium symbols, with the royals propping up the bottom. Values are multiples of the line bet at the minimum stake:
- Flame Crown: 0.20 for two, 0.40 for three, 1.60 for four, 4.00 for five
- Treasure Chest: 0.20 for two, 0.40 for three, 1.00 for four, 2.80 for five
- Green Gem Pendant: 0.40 for three, 1.00 for four, 2.40 for five
- Chalice: 0.40 for three, 1.00 for four, 2.20 for five
- Dagger: 0.40 for three, 0.80 for four, 2.00 for five
- A: 0.20 for three, 0.60 for four, 1.60 for five
- K, Q, J and 10: 0.20 for three, 0.60 for four, 1.60 for five
The Dragon Queen Wild substitutes for everything except the Scatters, the Dragon Elixir and the Dragon Key, and it pays its own way too, up to 5.00 for five across a line, which makes it the richest symbol on the grid.
Power Combo Scatters
Six coloured Scatters can land in the base game: green, red, blue, amethyst, gold and rainbow. Each is collected by a matching dragon egg at the top of the reels, and each can trigger Link&Win with its own attached power. The collection itself is visual only; it doesn’t influence triggering.
Wherever they land, these Scatters also transform into wilds.
Dragon Elixir and Dragon Key
Two smaller collection meters run alongside the eggs. The Dragon Elixir can appear attached to any high or low symbol and fills the Free Spins meter, with a chance of setting off Guardian’s Hoard.
Dragon Keys land on all reels and gather in the Treasure Vault at the bottom. Collect one on every reel and the Royal Raid Bonus fires.
Treasure Map Quest
Catch the Map symbol and the quest begins. From then on every base game spin walks the Dragonlings further along a five-stage path, and each stage is a permanent upgrade:
- Stage 1, after 50 spins: Second Chance Scatter, a second attempt at Link&Win when the initial Scatter land doesn’t trigger it
- Stage 2, after 100 spins: Instant Win Scatter, which triggers Link&Win outright with any of the Power Combo features
- Stage 3, after 150 spins: Free Spins Expanding Reels, where reels can randomly grow by one row during Free Spins
- Stage 4, after 200 spins: Link&Win Treasure Chests, timed chests that burst open for mystery Coin or Bonus prizes
- Stage 5, after 250 spins: Dragon Queen Unleashed, where the Queen appears at the start of Link&Win and hands out extra Power Combo features
Dragonlings II: The Lost King’s Riches Power Combo Bonuses & Free Spins
Dragonfire Link&Win
The headline feature starts with three coin prize symbols on the reels and three respins. Every further coin that lands is held in place and resets the respin counter to three.
Fill every position and the Grand is yours, from a ladder that pays Grand at 10,000x the total bet, Major at 250x and Minor at 50x. The Scatters that triggered it decide what else is in play:
- Blue, Prize Boost: randomly upgrades coin values on any spin
- Green, Colossal Reels: the grid grows to a full 5×5 set for the feature
- Red, Dragonfire Collect: a collector symbol that sweeps up all Coin and Bonus values, then turns into a coin itself and resets the respins
- Amethyst, Dragon Enchant: sticky enchanted crystals carrying multipliers up to 10x, which stack when they share a position and apply to the coins beneath them at the end
- Gold, Flame Forge: the golden dragonling breathes fire on chosen coins, each gaining a spin counter between two and ten and growing in value every spin until it expires
The Rainbow Scatter splits into all five coloured Scatters at once, so a single rainbow can launch Link&Win with any or all of the powers stacked together.
Royal Raid Bonus
Collect a Dragon Key on every reel and you’re taken to five rows of castle doors. Each door hides a Coin prize, the Dragon Queen or a Royal Guard. Coins pay their value and move you up a row; the Queen pays every coin on her row and moves you up too.
The Guard ends the round. Reach the top and the Royal Raid Bonus pays out a Coin or Bonus prize on the same Grand, Major and Minor ladder as Link&Win.
Guardian’s Hoard Free Spins
Five free spins, awarded when the Elixir meter tips. The round runs hot for Scatters: Power Combo Scatters land more often here, and the ones that land are more likely to set off Link&Win, which then plays out in full once the spins finish.
Every Elixir that lands during the round adds one more spin, so the five can stretch a long way. With Stage 3 of the Treasure Map Quest unlocked, the reels can also expand by a row mid-round, taking the paylines from 40 up to 60 while it lasts.
Feature Buy
There’s a buy button, and it skips straight to Dragonfire Link&Win with either three random Power Combo features active or all five combined, purchased at the displayed price and played at your current bet.
The full five-feature buy returns 96.18%, rising to 96.25% with the Link&Win Treasure Chests unlocked, while the random-three version returns 96.48%, or 96.65% with the chests. Those are the best numbers in the game. The buy switches off above a stake limit.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.8/10
You come here to watch something grow. The dead king’s cavern gives the game its face, but the reason to stay is the map: the session you’re having at spin 250 is meaningfully richer than the one you started with, and this is one of the few games that repays loyalty with actual machinery rather than decoration.
Its strength is that no two bonus rounds are the same. The colour of the Scatter genuinely changes what you’re playing, and a rainbow, which stacks all five powers at once, produces rounds the single colours can’t touch. The weakness is everything around that: between triggers this is a plain 40-line spinner, and the best upgrades sit 150 to 250 spins deep, further than most sessions ever reach.
It suits players who like a long build and will happily grind the map, or who’d rather skip it and buy straight into the best return in the game. Anyone after a base game with ideas of its own won’t find it under the mountain. The hoard is real, though, and it’s guarded well.
