Madame Destiny Megaways Slot Review
The Wheel of Fortune is card ten of the tarot’s major arcana, and the whole point of the card is that nobody gets to choose where it stops.
Once again, a mysterious fortune teller is in place to read your fate from within a velvet-lined parlour, a lantern burning at the edge of the reels, a black cat and a green-eyed owl sitting among the symbols, with Madame Destiny Megaways as the upgraded sequel to the beloved 2018 original.
Behind the curtain, Pragmatic Play‘s numbers read a 96.56% RTP and high volatility (rated 5/5 by the studio), with stakes running from 0.20 to 240.00 a spin to cater to all players.
The ceiling is 5,000x the stake. Switch on the Ante Bet or buy the bonus outright and the RTP reads 96.67% instead of 96.56%.
Gothic dressing is familiar ground for the studio, and Curse of the Werewolf Megaways works the same shadowy corner of it.
The Megaways licence is also familiar ground across Pragmatic’s catalogue too, in The Dog House Megaways and 5 Lions Megaways among many, many others. What Madame Destiny adds is a wheel that sets the terms before a bonus round begins.

Base Game & Features
Six reels make up the main grid, and they don’t all stand the same height. The outer two hold up to seven symbols each, while reels two to five hold up to eight. The top four-symbol bonus row above them spins independently of the rest.
Wins are counted as ways rather than lines: any adjacent combination of any size, paid left to right from the leftmost reel. At full height that comes to 200,704 ways to win, thanks to the Megaways mechanic, and the counter above the grid tells you where you are on any given spin.
As you might expect from a Megaways slot, tumbles/cascades come into play. The symbols that paid disappear, whatever is left drops to the bottom of the grid, and fresh symbols fall in from above to fill the gaps.
This system keeps repeating for as long as each new arrangement finds another win, and because the reel heights change as it goes, the number of ways in play moves with it.
In terms of the paytable, the owl is the most valuable symbol, and the only one that pays from matching two – six of them return 20x the stake, five return 10x, and four return 4x.
The cat is next in line and a full six of those pay under four times the stake, while the card ranks at the bottom of the table pay around the stake itself as the low-paying symbols.
Only the highest win counts on any one way, though wins landing across separate ways are added together, which is what makes a crowded tumble worth more than it looks.

Madame Destiny herself is the wild, and she keeps to reels two through six. She stands in for everything except the scatter, and any winning combination she joins is doubled, in the base game and in free spins alike.
The blue orb scatter pays wherever it lands rather than only unlocking the feature. Three of them return 5x the total bet, four return 10x, five return 20x, and a full six pay 100x.
Madame Destiny Megaways Free Spins
Three or more scatters anywhere on the reels take you into the feature, and they pay their scatter prize on the way in.
The Wheel of Fortune
Before a single free spin is played, a wheel of fortune spins across two slices to hand you a combination: the free spins on one side, the win multiplier on the other.
Spin counts come in at 5, 8, 10 or 12. Multipliers run 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 15x, 20x and 25x.
Whatever the wheel settles on, the multiplier applies to the total win of every free spin for the rest of the round, rather than to one combination at a time.
Special reels come in for the feature, and the wild keeps doubling anything it joins on top of the round multiplier.

Retriggers
Land three or more scatters again and the wheel spins a second time, adding whatever it lands on to what you already hold. More spins go on the counter and the new multiplier is added to the current one.
There’s no limit on how often that can happen, which is the only route to the sort of multiplier the top of the paytable needs.
Ante Bet and Buy Free Spins
The bet multiplier sits at 20x for normal play. Pushing it to 25x, a quarter more per spin, doubles the chance of triggering free spins and puts more scatters on the reels.
The alternative is buying the round outright for 100x the total bet, which drops you straight onto the wheel. The two don’t work together: turning the Ante Bet on disables the buy button.
Either way the 5,000x cap holds. Reach it during a free spins round and the round closes there and then, with any spins still on the counter forfeited.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
As follow-ups go, Madame Destiny does a good job of stepping out of the original’s shadow. The Megaways engine gives the reels plenty of flexibility, while tumbling wins keep things moving nicely from one spin to the next.
It’s a more fluid experience overall, and visually, it has picked up some extra charm, too, with an ambient yet platful spookiness that the original was slightly missing.
The Bonus Wheel is another nice touch, adding more mystery before the free spins begin. The only downside is that sometimes, the wheel doesn’t have much up its sleeve. It’s pretty common to see eight spins at 3x. Purchasing Free Spins at 100x can also feel like paying a fortune teller who can’t even tell you what the weather will be like tomorrow.
With no progressive multiplier, free spins retriggers are the only real way to keep the momentum up, which is something to keep in mind if comparing it to rival Megaways titles.
Even so, there’s something about Madame Destiny Megaways that keeps drawing us back. It’s one of our most-played games on stream, and while the 5,000x ceiling is modest, it’s all about the thrill of letting a wheel decide your fate.
The Megaways engine opens up plenty of paths to a big win, but Madame Destiny will always keep her cards close to her chest.
