Oktobeer Gold Dice Slot Review
Inside the beer tent, every symbol has been recast as a die – pretzels, hats, accordions, the lot. BF Games has built this one so that a single die carries the whole paytable: the Beer Mugs die pays 150x for five of a kind, and nothing else on the reels comes within a factor of twelve of it, which quietly turns a festival slot into a hunt for one symbol.
Oktobeer Gold Dice runs on a 5×3 grid at medium volatility, with an RTP of 92.08% to 96.09% depending on the setting your casino has chosen, so it is worth checking the figure before you settle in. The game sits alongside Oktobeer Gold, Honey Beast and Raiders of the East Dice in the studio’s catalogue.
Three features carry the action, which is a modest count by modern standards. Each one pulls real weight, though, and none of them is decoration. Prost to that.
Base Game & Features
The reels sit inside a wooden beer-tent frame, with the Barmaid wild and the Bonus Wheel symbols sharing space with the paying dice. Wins come through cascades: winning symbols clear away, new ones drop in, and any further win bumps a multiplier that climbs from x2 to x3 and beyond with each consecutive cascade.
Everything on the board is here to do a job. Three modifiers, three triggers, no overlap:
- Barmaid wild – lands on a reel and expands to fill it
- Cascade multiplier – starts at x2 on the second consecutive win and steps up with every further cascade
- Bonus Wheel – three Bonus Wheel symbols anywhere on the reels spin the wheel
The Barmaid wild expands to fill the reel it lands on whenever she appears. That’s her whole job, and it’s a useful one. A full reel of wilds can bridge gaps across several paylines at once, which is where her value shows up.
The paytable is stacked with festival symbols, each rendered as a die. Payouts are shown as multiples of stake:
- Beer Mugs (Dice) – the top symbol: 0.25x for two, 1.25x for three, 7.5x for four, 150x for five
- Accordion, Bananas and Sausages (Dice) – the mid tier: 1x for three, 3.75x for four, 12.5x for five
- Hat and Pretzel (Dice) – the festival filler: 0.5x for three, 2.5x for four, 7.5x for five
- Heart and Diamond (Dice) – a royal pair: 0.25x for three, 1.25x for four, 3.75x for five
- Club and Spade (Dice) – the other royal pair, worth 0.25x, 0.75x and 2.5x from three to five of a kind
The Beer Mugs die is the one worth watching. At 150x for five of a kind it pays twelve times what the next tier manages, so the gap between the top symbol and everything else is wide. It’s also the only symbol that pays for a two-of-a-kind at all – every other die needs three to start.
One more quirk of the table stands out. The Heart/Diamond pair out-pays the Club/Spade pair at four and five of a kind, despite both pairs starting at 0.25x for three. At the top end the difference is 3.75x against 2.5x, so the red suits are quietly worth half again as much. Small distinctions, but they decide which reels you watch.
Cascades keep the base game moving. A single spin can chain several wins together, and the multiplier climbs with each one, so the fifth win of a chain arrives at a much healthier rate than the first.
The sequence runs like this. A winning combination pays at the base rate, the winning symbols disappear, and fresh dice drop into the empty positions. If that drop forms a new win, it pays at x2. Another cascade takes the multiplier to x3, the next to x4, and so on for as long as the chain holds.
When a drop produces no new win, the chain breaks. The multiplier resets, and the next spin starts from scratch. That reset is what keeps a long chain precious: everything the run has built rides on the very next drop.
Oktobeer Gold Dice Bonus Wheel
Three Bonus Wheel symbols anywhere on the reels trigger the Bonus Wheel feature. It’s the game’s one dedicated bonus round.
What separates the bonus round from ordinary play is the multiplier stack. A cascade run inside the feature climbs through x2, x3, x4 and upward with each consecutive win, so a good chain compounds quickly rather than paying flat. A mediocre one pays the same as it would anywhere else.
The Bonus Wheel symbols are styled as part of the festival set rather than hidden among the royals, so they’re easy to pick out on the reels. Landing three is the whole requirement – there’s no scatter count to track, no collection meter, nothing to build towards between triggers.
That directness cuts both ways. The trigger is simple to understand and simple to miss, because two symbols pay nothing and count for nothing.
Because the wild and the cascade multiplier both stay active alongside the wheel, the round stacks the game’s best pieces into one place. An expanding Barmaid during a multiplier run is the combination that makes the feature worth reaching.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
A session here plays like a long afternoon in the tent: steady drops, small wins rolling through the cascades, and the wheel as the moment everything is pointed at. The reason to pick this one over the original is that everything feeds the chain – the wild, the multiplier and the wheel all stack into the same spin, where the first game kept them more separate.
The cascade ladder is the best thing in the game, because every win after the first pays more than it would alone and a five-link run compounds fast. The weakness is what sits underneath it: outside the Beer Mugs die, five of a kind barely clears pocket change, so most long chains are compounding small numbers.
Anyone after a chatty, medium-paced game where the next drop always matters will be happy here, and fans of the first Oktobeer Gold get the same tent with sharper arithmetic. For everyone else, the band is playing and the ladder is worth the wait.
