Piggy Vault Slot Review
Everything happens inside the safe: a polished brass vault door fills the back wall, gold coins heap into the corners, and three cartoon pigs sit on red velvet cushions above the action. Piggy Vault’s best idea is that it never lets you feel comfortable in there. Every coin you stack stays one hammer swing from zero, and the candy-bright artwork does nothing to soften that edge.
Gamzix have built the whole game around that image. There are no reels: three vertical piggy ladders in red, green and blue carry every coin towards its top prize, a build-and-collect structure with a hard reset waiting in the deck. Sister titles include 3 Fortune Pouches: Triple Wins, Lava Power: Hold the Spin and Only Diamonds. The maximum win is 560x the bet.
Base Game & Features
The presentation is glossy, candy-bright cartoon 3D, everything buffed to a metallic sheen. A small golden piggy figurine and a grey mallet sit off to the side of the panel, a fair summary of the two forces at work. One builds your fortune, the other smashes it.
The screen stays clean, because there’s no reel grid to track. Only the three ladders matter, plus the prize total displayed above them. Coins come in green, blue and gold varieties, and the colour decides everything.
Coin symbols are the engine. Every coin that lands in the display window highlights the next prize level on the ladder matching its colour. The Wild symbol moves all three ladders up by one level at once, which makes it the single most powerful symbol on the screen.
The Hammer symbol is the other edge of the design. When it appears, it resets every ladder and the vault to zero. Nothing is banked unless you’ve already collected, so the hammer gives the whole game its rhythm: climb, decide, and risk.
- Coin symbols trigger ladder progression on the matching colour
- The Wild symbol moves all three ladders up by one level
- The Hammer symbol resets all ladders and the vault to zero
- The vault can be collected at any time or left to grow
The paying symbols are the ladders themselves, and the gaps between them are wide. The values, as multiples of stake:
- Red Piggy Ladder: 50X for two, 100X for three, 200X for four, 500X for five
- Green Piggy Ladder: from 8X at two and 16X at three to 30X at four and 50X at five
- Blue Piggy Ladder: starts at 3X and 5X, then 7X and 10X for four and five
- Hammer: no prize values of its own
The colour of a coin therefore matters more than anything else on screen. Wins are paid at the ladder level reached, not per symbol in the ordinary way, which is worth understanding before the first spin.
The spread between the ladders is worth a moment’s thought. A completed green ladder pays no more than a red ladder at its second step, so progress on the lower colours is slow money by comparison. The gap only widens further up, where the red ladder pulls away on its own.
Each ladder is a fixed series of levels, and a level only counts once it’s highlighted by a matching coin. There’s no partial credit for a coin that lands on an already-lit step. The next coin of that colour takes you to the next prize, and the lit box above it shows exactly what’s coming.
Piggy Vault Bonus Features & Free Spins
The vault is where Piggy Vault’s real game lives. It displays the sum of the current highest-level wins for each ladder, so as coins land and levels climb, the vault total grows. The choice it hands you is constant: collect immediately and take what’s there, or keep playing for the higher prizes above.
The vault holds the highest level reached on each of the three ladders at any moment. Climb a ladder and the vault updates to the new figure. It doesn’t stack the old level underneath, so the total always reflects one prize per ladder.
There’s a twist at the top. If you’re already at the highest level of a ladder and would advance past it, you receive a direct win equal to that ladder’s final level value. Direct wins skip the vault entirely and go straight to your balance, so a ladder that maxes out pays on the spot.
That rule changes how you treat a ladder that’s nearly full. A topped-out colour stops being something to protect in the vault and becomes something to push, because every further coin on it is instant money. The wild, which lifts all three ladders at once, is at its most valuable exactly here.
The reset is what makes the collect decision bite. A hammer at the wrong moment wipes the vault and every ladder level with it, and the only defence is having banked already. It’s a push-your-luck loop in its purest form, dressed in pigs and brass.
There are no free spins, no bonus round and no separate feature to buy into. Everything the game has sits on that single screen. Every prize either reaches your balance through the vault or a direct win, or disappears on a hammer.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7/10
Piggy Vault plays like the inside of a safe feels: everything you’ve stacked is right there in front of you, and one wrong swing empties it. That’s the reason to pick it. The collect-or-press-on decision arrives every spin, and the three pigs on their cushions make it oddly personal.
The cleverest thing here is the direct-win rule at the top of each ladder, which turns a full ladder from money to protect into money to chase. The cruelty is just as real: the hammer gives no warning, and the lower ladders pay so little that most of the climbing is for small change.
It suits patient players who enjoy a long build and a decision that’s genuinely theirs to make. Anyone wanting free spins, feature buys or a screen full of moving parts gets none of that here. For the first kind, the vault door is worth opening. The second will know within five minutes, and the pigs won’t take it personally.
