Ra’s Reckoning Slot Review
Ra fills the right edge of the screen, falcon-headed and blue-eyed beneath a spiked sun-disc halo, with a second, far larger god cropped at the top of the frame to just a hand and a thigh. Ra’s Reckoning is built around a wager of its own: that a slot can hold back nearly everything it owes you, frame by frame, and still be worth the wait.
Play’n GO has set that bold comic-book artwork over one of its heavier engines: a 6×6 cluster-pay grid with cascading wins, 96.2% RTP, high volatility and a 50,000x ceiling on a single bet. It’s familiar ground for the studio behind Reactoonz and Honey Rush 100, though the sunset desert and its ledger-keeping god give this one a very different face.
How Ra’s Reckoning Pays
Wins are clusters. Five or more identical symbols touching horizontally or vertically, anywhere on the 6×6 grid, and the combination pays; a gap breaks a cluster. Winning symbols are then removed and fresh ones drop in, and the cascade keeps running for as long as new clusters keep forming.
A single spin can therefore pay several times over. Each cascade clears its winners, refills the grid and checks again. Everything a round produces is collected and paid out together when the sequence finally stops.
- Clusters can start from any position on the grid
- Only the highest win is paid per winning symbol combination
- Wins from several clusters in a single round are added together
- Feature and scatter wins are paid out at the end of the round
- Bets are set with the plus and minus buttons, one step at a time, and can’t be changed mid-round
A wild helps things along, substituting for any symbol except the scatter and the special symbols that take part in triggering Ra’s Blessing: the jar, the coins and the clash. A single wild can contribute to several winning combinations in the same spin. It pulls its weight in the middle of a long cascade.
The bet that starts a round is also the bet the whole round runs on. Free spins play at the stake that triggered them, and nothing can be adjusted while the cascades are still resolving.
Divine Frames and Ra’s Blessing
Every winning cluster leaves a mark. Each position that took part in a win picks up a frame, and frames climb through three tiers: bronze, then silver, then golden. A position that keeps winning keeps upgrading.
Frames hold their tier until a new spin starts, at which point the board resets. That reset gives the base game its rhythm. Frames built during a cascade sequence carry across every drop within that round, so a long chain of clusters can walk a position from bronze to golden before the next spin wipes the slate.
Frames on their own do nothing. They’re storage. The payoff comes from Ra’s Blessing, a symbol that can land once per spin, on a regular drop or a Mega Drop, and when it arrives it activates every frame on the grid at once.
Coins, Clash and the Jar
Activation turns the symbols sitting on framed positions into coins matching each frame’s tier, so a golden frame yields a golden coin and a bronze frame a bronze one. Coins carry prize values, and those values sum into a single multiplier of the total bet. Activation can also reveal two rarer symbols with much bigger plans.
- Clash multiplies adjacent coins by 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x
- Jar collects the values of all visible coins and displays the running total above it
- Up to five jars can appear, at most one per reactivation
- A jar stays fixed in its frame until another jar collects the value stored inside it
The jar rules are where the ceiling lives. A jar holds its collected value in place while further reactivations keep generating new jars, each of which can absorb the ones before it. The chain only stops when no new jar appears or the maximum of five is reached.
One well-timed blessing can therefore stack several collections into the same round. New symbols keep revealing while jars stay anchored in their frames, so the board keeps feeding a total that’s already banked rather than starting over.
Mega Drop
On top of the normal cascade there’s a second process. When a win lands, Mega Drop can change a position on the grid outright, dropping something new into a spot the cascade wouldn’t have touched.
It’s also a second route for Ra’s Blessing to arrive, which matters when frames are sitting at golden waiting to be switched on. Between the ordinary refill and the Mega Drop, a single win can reshape the board twice over before the next evaluation.
Red Eclipse Free Spins
The scatter is a red eye. Three or more of them trigger free spins, and the game runs two separate rounds depending on how many land. Both play out at the bet that triggered them.
Red Eclipse
Three scatters award eight free spins. Throughout the round, Ra’s Blessing is guaranteed, so the frames players build are always switched on rather than left hanging. Landing two scatters during the round adds two more spins, and that retrigger can repeat as long as the pairs keep landing.
Divine Red Eclipse
Four, five or six scatters trigger the stronger round with eight, ten or twelve free spins. Every extra scatter in the triggering combination adds two more, and during the round itself each additional scatter grants another two, so the round can build all the way up to 54 free spins in total.
Divine Red Eclipse also carries the Blessing guarantee, which is what makes the spin ceiling worth chasing. With every frame activated on every spin, golden positions stop being storage and start paying continuously. Each retrigger extends the run rather than restarting it.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.8/10
Playing this feels like doing accounts for a god who settles late. Most spins are small entries: clusters land, frames tick up a tier, and the balance barely moves. The reason to sit through that bookkeeping is the moment Ra’s Blessing lands and the entire ledger is called in at once.
The collection chain is the best thing here. Because a jar banks its total and later jars can absorb it, one lucky activation compounds instead of starting over, and the free spins rounds guarantee the Blessing on every spin so the payoff isn’t left hanging. Against that, the build itself is slow and crowded: six named systems feed one another, and until they click, the grid reads like homework rather than a game.
The audience here is the patient kind: players who enjoy watching a board assemble for fifty spins before it pays, with the 50,000x ceiling as the prize for that patience. Anyone after instant cluster action is better served elsewhere. Ra runs a long ledger in this one, and he does settle it, in his own unhurried way.
