Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks Slot Review
A waterhole at golden hour, flat-topped acacias strung out to the horizon, and five small meters quietly counting at the bottom of the reels. Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks is a game that pays in patience: nearly everything it offers is banked one symbol at a time, and it trusts you to stay while the count climbs. Infinity Dragon Studios has built its savannah around that single idea.
It’s a 5×4 grid with 30 fixed paylines, 96.02% RTP, high volatility and stakes from 0.20 to 25.00 a spin. The rhino runs the studio’s Stampede Stacks system a second time. Wild Herd Stampede Stacks worked the same collection meters in 2026, and the catalogue stretches on through Oinkin’ Fortunes and Black Sails: Kraken’s Hoard.
Everything worth having here sits behind a meter, and meters take time. The herd moves slowly, but it moves with weight.
Base Game & Features
Wins run left to right across 30 paylines that can’t be adjusted, and only the highest combination on each line counts. Wild symbols substitute for everything except the Free Spins and Bonus symbols.
Stakes run from 0.20 to 25.00 per spin, and payouts are based on the line bet, which is the total bet divided by 20. The animal symbols sit on top of a familiar royal run. Lions and gorillas share the top tier, crocodiles and hyenas fill the middle, and the A, K, Q, J and 10 bring up the rear. The paytable, in multiples of the line bet:
- Lion / Gorilla: 0.1x for two, 1x for three, 2.5x for four, 10x for five
- Crocodile: 0.6x for three, 1.5x for four, 4x for five
- Hyena: 0.4x for three, 1x for four, 2.5x for five
- A: 0.3x for three, 0.7x for four, 2x for five
- K / Q: 0.2x for three, 0.5x for four, 1.5x for five
- J / 10: 0.2x for three, 0.4x for four, 1x for five
Only the lion and the gorilla pay for a two-symbol match, and even then it’s a tenth of the line bet. Everything else needs three from the left. With a hit frequency of 31.25%, roughly one spin in three connects at all.
Golden Rhino Totem Collection
Golden Rhino Totem symbols appear in the base game only, and every reel carries its own collect meter at the bottom. Each totem that lands adds to its reel’s meter. Collect four totems on a reel and the Wild Rhino Reels feature activates on that reel.
Totems stop appearing on reels where the feature is already running, so five meters can’t all fill at once. Both the meter and the active feature persist for each bet level, so your progress is tied to the stake you built it at. Drop back to a smaller bet and you’re starting the count again at that level.
Wild Rhino Reels
Once triggered, a Wild symbol is added to the reel on every spin until the whole reel is filled. The feature then ends and the wilds are removed on the following spin. Free Spins and the bonus game can still trigger while it runs, so a filling reel can double as a launchpad.
On a 4-row reel that means four wilds stacked on top of each other before the feature burns out, and every spin along the way carries at least one guaranteed wild on that reel. It’s the closest thing the base game has to a sure thing.
Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks Free Spins & Stampede Bonus
Free Spins
Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatter symbols awards 5, 7 or 10 free spins respectively. The round starts with a 1x multiplier that climbs by 1x after every spin. The round can be retriggered, and bets and lines stay as they were on the triggering spin.
Each spin also drops a wild onto random reels. A wild landing on top of an existing wild raises that wild’s multiplier by 1x, so the later spins are where the round does its heaviest lifting.
Super Free Spins
Two scatters in the base game add one point to the Super Free Spins upgrade meter. Collect 20 points and the next three Free Spins symbols trigger the upgraded round, with the same 5, 7 or 10 spins from a 3, 4 or 5 scatter trigger.
The difference is the starting line. Super Free Spins opens at a 5x multiplier, still climbing by 1x per spin, with the meter capped at 10x. Of the 96.02% total return, Free Spins carries 8.12%, Super Free Spins 11.22% and the Stampede Bonus Game 6.59%.
Stampede Bonus Game & Pick Shields
The Stampede Bonus Game triggers at random when one or more bonus coin symbols are collected in the base game. The coins can appear attached to high and low symbols alike, and the on-screen collection is purely for show; it has no bearing on when the bonus fires. If Free Spins and coins land on the same spin, only the free spins are awarded.
Inside, you pick shields to fill bonus meters. Collect three matching picks and that prize is yours, with multiple prizes available in a single round. The feature ends when a prize is won and no bonus symbol is collected on the next pick. The ladder, in multiples of total bet:
- Grand: 5000x total bet
- Major: 200x total bet
- Minor: 40x total bet
- Mini: 15x total bet
The gap between the top two rungs is steep: the Grand pays twenty-five times the Major, and the ladder steps down gently from there. Bonus prize wins are multiplied by the total bet rather than the line bet, so the Grand is a genuinely large number at any stake.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.2/10
Playing this is less like a slot session than like tending a fire: small, regular additions, then a proper blaze when the count pays out. The reason to choose it over a dozen flashier savannah games is that the paying off is visible and steady. You can see exactly how close each reel is to going wild.
The strength is Super Free Spins. Twenty points of near-misses buys a round that starts at 5x and keeps climbing, and it retriggers, so the grind genuinely pays its keep. The weakness is the pick bonus: the coin collection that leads into it is decoration, and the shields round itself is over in a handful of picks unless the Grand shows up.
This is one for the long-session player who settles at a stake and lets the meters do their work. Anyone who hops between bet levels or wants their features early will watch the herd disappear over the horizon without them. Sit still at the waterhole, and the savannah is generous.
Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks FAQs
-
What is the RTP of Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks?
It’s 96.02% in total. Free Spins accounts for 8.12% of that, Super Free Spins 11.22% and the Stampede Bonus Game 6.59%, with the rest sitting in the base game. -
Is Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks high volatility?
Yes. Expect leaner patches between the features, with a hit frequency of 31.25% meaning roughly one spin in three pays anything at all. -
How do you trigger Free Spins in Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks?
Scatters do it. Three of them starts a 5-spin round, four gives 7 and five gives 10. The multiplier begins at 1x and rises with every spin, and landing more scatters during the round retriggers it. -
How does Super Free Spins work?
Near-miss scatters build it. Every pair of scatters in the base game is worth one point on the upgrade meter, and once the meter reaches 20, the next scatter trigger launches the super version, beginning at 5x rather than 1x. The multiplier can’t climb past 10x. -
What does collecting Golden Rhino Totem symbols do?
Each of the five reels tracks its own totem count. Hit four on any one reel and that reel goes wild-heavy, gaining a wild every spin until all four positions are filled. Totems won’t land on a reel that’s already running the feature. -
How is the Stampede Bonus Game triggered?
Collect a bonus coin in the base game and you’re in the running; the game fires the bonus at random from there. The coin animation is entertainment only and doesn’t affect the odds. A coin and a free spins trigger on the same spin resolves in favour of the free spins. -
How many paylines does Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks have?
There are 30, fixed and running left to right from the first reel. You can’t change the count, so every spin plays all of them. -
What is the minimum and maximum bet on Wild Rhino Stampede Stacks?
Betting starts at 0.20 and tops out at 25.00 per spin. Line pays are calculated on the line bet, which works out as the total stake divided by 20.
