Sweet Alchemy 100 Base Game and Features

Sweet Alchemy 100 is a 5×5 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land adjacent to each other either Horizontally or Vertically across the reels.

The minimum bet available here is £.€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.20% and a max win cap of 15,000x.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbols are Cherry, Berry, and Apple (or any combination of the 3). Low-paying symbols fall to the Red, Light Blue, Green, and Navy confectionary. Wilds substitute for all High and Low-paying symbols.

Each time a winning combination forms, all winning symbols will be removed and all remaining symbols will drop to fill all empty positions at the bottom of the grid.

Once this happens, a random Wild symbol may be placed in a middle symbol location where a winning combination was formed, but this is not guaranteed. Wild symbols are removed when no other symbols are remaining in order to clear the entire grid.

Witch Power

The Witch Power feature can be triggered at random on any non-winning spin. Depending on the Witch character present on the right side of the grid, 1 of 3 unique Witch abilities is performed in order to create a win.

• Cherry – Transforms a random set of symbols into another type of High or Low-paying symbol.
• Berry – Adds 1 or 2 Wild symbols to random positions on the grid.
• Apple – Removes 2 sets of random symbols from the grid.

The game will begin with a random Witch character on the right side of the grid, with the order of witches fixed to Cherry, Berry, and Apple. Once a Witch Power has been triggered, the next Witch character will take her place next to the grid.

Trinity Feature

Filling the Witch Meter on the left side of the grid with High-paying symbols will trigger the Trinity Feature. The Witch Meter has 3 sections that require a total of 5, 4, and 3 winning Witch symbols to fill sections 3, 2, and 1 respectively.

Once the Witch Meter is filled, and no further wins occur, 1 Free Game round is awarded and the Global Win Multiplier is reset. Once active, a Witch Power is performed during each symbol drop that does not provide a winning combination, until all 3 Witches have performed their respective ability.

Sweet Alchemy 100 Free Spins

Clearing the entire grid of symbols during the Trinity Feature will trigger the Free Spins round. Once active, you will be given a choice of the 3 Witches.

• Apple – Awards 8 Free Spins and the Apple Modifier.

Sweet Alchemy 100: Our Verdict

Minus the characters and sweet-treat theme, Sweet Alchemy 100 is an exact replica of Moon Princess 100, even down to max win capabilities. Choosing between these two games is more about character and theme preference rather than gameplay itself.

Both games have strong female leads and a lot of girl power going on, so it will be interesting to see where Play’n GO takes both series next. A Moon Princess/Sweet Alchemy combo would make for a really interesting slot, don’t you think? The ‘100’ series from Play’n GO has enjoyed its share of success thus far, and with Honey Rush 100 coming up it looks to be going strong.

Overall, Sweet Alchemy 100 is thematically great but doesn’t stand out as an overly innovative game from Play’n GO. Innovation isn’t always needed though, the formula works and Sweet Alchemy can certainly impress.
