Work your way up from a soldier to the underboss in your journey to become a made man, but any funny business and you’ll get clipped. Crime pays, but in a business where men die young you best have your wits about you.

Whacked! from Nolimit City portrays a typically dark undertone with profanities and gore galore, but will it stand out? Get into character by slicking back that hair, putting on your best suit and start referring to your mother as ‘ma’ to reaffirm your gangster persona in a slot where the situation could get hairy real quick.

Whacked! Slot – The Base Game and Features

Whacked! is a slot with three rows and five reels and 243-7776 ways to win.

Forming a win requires at least 3 of any matching symbols to connect on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel. Winning combinations are removed from play, allowing new symbols to fall in for a chance to form another win.

Winning combinations on xWays symbols allow for additional symbols of the same size to fall into place.

xWays

The xWays symbols expand to 2 or 4 symbols, always creating half symbols. Half-symbol sizes pay the same as normal-sized symbols.

Half-symbol sizes will remain until there are no more wins or avalanches.

Whacked! Lock N Load

Every time a winning combination occurs; the next group of bullets will be loaded fully into the chamber.

The feature will activate once it’s fully loaded with six bullets and no more winning combinations occur.

Once activated, the bullets are randomly fired at high-paying character symbols on the reels. The characters that are hit will be replaced by an overlay wild.

If there are five or less high-paying symbols on the reels, the unused bullets will be saved in the chamber for later.

Whacked Free Spins

Three Scatter Symbols will trigger Whacked Free Spins. Whacked Spins always starts with a collected value of x1 the base bet for each reel.

Whacked Spins starts with 3 spins. The spins are then reset to 3 once any of the following symbols lands:

• Coin Values
• xWays symbols
• xNudges

Coins hold a value times the base bet and all winnings are added to the counter at the bottom of each reel. All collected values are added together for a total value when the bonus concludes

If the xRevolver cylinder symbol lands, it will award one of the aforementioned features or the Russian Roulette feature.

• Russian Roulette – The Russian Roulette can only be awarded from the xRevolver symbol. When this is active, spins are reset to 3, but they won’t be able to reset again. Instead of adding up the winnings on each reel, the winnings will instead be multiplied with each other into a total win.

Whacked! Bonus Buy

Whacked! is rather uncharacteristic of Nolimit City with just one bonus, and thus one Bonus Buy option.

The bonus buy costs 88x the bet, and the theoretical RTP is 96.15%

Whacked! Last Man Standing

The maximum payout of Whacked! is 11,912x the bet. When the total win exceeds this amount the game round will end and the maximum win is payed.

 

Whacked! Slot – Our Verdict

Whacked! was very typical of Nolimit City, yet it wasn’t at the same time. When you think of a Nolimit City game you usually think of a slot with more than one bonus round, or a ‘super bonus’ as we’ve come to know them as.

Whacked! only has one feature, yet we’re quite happy with that, and we think those in the UK should be happy with it too. It’s no secret that super bonuses can feel like folklore, hearsay and myth to those without the ability to bonus buy. Often it feels like you’re not getting the best version of the game, but in Whacked! you feel on equal footing with everyone.

The lack of a super bonus doesn’t take away from Whacked’s potential either with a substantial 11,912x win cap, which many are sure to hit.

Overall, Whacked probably won’t feel like a hall of fame slot to many, but great features, significant capabilities and its gangster demeanour makes it a Nolimit City classic in more ways than one.
