Gold Strike Slot Review

Blueprint Gaming is a beacon of modernity, and they have been for a long time with innovative themes and mechanics that turn heads. Their latest slot Gold Strike looks more retro, reminding us of a more classic era of gaming.

There was a time when simplicity reigned supreme, and the allure of the game was found in its straightforward and simplistic charm.

Gold Strike may look like a homage to that golden classic era, but does its features reflect its theme? or are there more modern features at play here?

Cash Collect Feature

In addition to regular paying symbols, Gold Strike is also home to special Cash symbols that appear on reels 1-6. Cash symbols appear with a random value, including Mini, Major, and Mega Jackpot values.

When a Collect Scatter lands on reels 1 or 6 at the same time as any Cash or Jackpot symbols, the Cash Collect Feature is triggered. Once active, all Cash symbol values will be accumulated on the Collect Scatter and awarded. The same applies to any Jackpot symbols that may be present.

  • Mini – Awards 25x your bet.
  • Major – Awards 250x your bet.
  • Mega – Awards 2,500x your bet.

Bonus Feature

Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters in the base game triggers the Bonus Feature, where you will get to choose between Wild Strike or Cash Strike Spins.

  • 3 Scatters – Awards either 8 Wild Strike Spins or 1 Cash Strike Spin.
  • 4 Scatters – Awards 8 Wild Strike Spins or 1 Cash Strike Spin +20x your bet.
  • 5 Scatters – Awards 8 Wild Strike Spins or 1 Cash Strike Spin +100x your bet.
  • 6 Scatters – Awards 8 Wild Strike Spins or 1 Cash Strike Spin +500x your bet.

Wild Strike

During the Wild Strike feature, an Unlimited Win Multiplier is active, starting at x1. Each time a Wild lands in view, it will increase the Win Multiplier by +x1. Landing 2 or more Scatters during this time will award additional spins.

Cash Strike

During the Cash Strike feature, each Cash or Cashpot symbol that hits will be collected in the Cash Trail. Collecting enough Cash and Cashpot symbols will award additional Cash Strike spins and Cash Collect Multipliers.

Gold Strike: Our Verdict

Gold Strike was a little bit of an amalgamation of styles. It’s neither completely rooted in a retro ethos, and it doesn’t entirely embrace modern trends either.

It can be fairly diverse with 2 bonus features, each of which offers a completely different experience, but the experience of excitement can feel fleeting and it’s not unlike other slots we’ve all tried before.

It’s noteworthy to add that Gold Strike has a decent max win cap with 10,000x the bet available. This will appeal to the statisticians out there, but it’s unlikely to make a real statement.
