About Pineapple Play
Pineapple Play is an independent Australian slot studio founded in 2024, bringing together more than 25 years of combined casino-industry experience.
Based in Brisbane and led by co-founder and CEO Cameron Fraser, the studio has taken a fairly clear approach from the outset: make slots with strong personalities, engaging visuals, and mechanics that serve the theme. Its slogan, “Games that take you somewhere,” sums up the philosophy rather well.
The studio launched its first game, Coconut Chaos, through Hacksaw Gaming’s OpenRGS platform in late 2025, becoming one of the third-party studios using the platform. That partnership has given Pineapple Play access to Hacksaw’s distribution infrastructure while allowing it to concentrate on developing its own games.
The portfolio is still small but growing. Their debut was followed by Midnight Mirage in April 2026 and Toothrot Tilly in September 2026. There’s already a noticeable willingness to jump between very different settings, from Coconut Chaos’ tropical island to the darker atmosphere of Midnight Mirage and the character-driven world of Toothrot Tilly.
The maths also suggests Pineapple Play isn’t afraid of giving its games some bite, just like a real pineapple. Coconut Chaos has a 96.36% RTP, medium volatility and a 10,000x maximum win, while Midnight Mirage increases the potential considerably, offering a 96.42% RTP, high volatility and a 25,000x maximum win. Toothrot Tilly is another interesting step forward, using a distinctive 3-4-5-4-3 grid, Scatter Pays and Fairy Flick symbol removals.
With everything from artwork and animation to audio and software development handled in-house, Pineapple Play is clearly aiming to establish a recognisable creative identity early. It’s still a young studio, but there’s already enough personality here to make its next releases worth watching.
