Action Boost Amber Island 2 Slot Review
A volcanic island at sunset ought to be a postcard. All five cones along this skyline are still lit, though, and every one of them wears a gem of a different colour at its summit.
Action Boost Amber Island 2 sets up camp on that shore, the work of SpinPlay Games, with a fire goddess rendered full height beside the reels and a purple panther heading up the paytable.
The numbers underneath are modest and fairly honest about it: a 96.48% RTP in the top configuration, with 94.51% and 92.44% versions operators can run instead, medium-high volatility, and wins arriving on 37.97% of spins. Stakes run from 0.20 to 50.00.
The ceiling is 5,000x, which is small change beside the five-figure multipliers that have become normal on a release calendar. Here it buys you something rather different.
That badge above the reels will be familiar from Action Boost Christmas, and the original Amber Island got to the volcanoes first.
Come to it from Amazing Link Athena and the difference is one of scale rather than style.
Base Game & Features
The base game is a 5×4 grid running 20 paylines. A purple panther sits at the top of the reel symbols, followed by a toucan, a tree frog, a lizard and a dragonfly, with A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 carved into stone underneath them.
The Amber Goddess beside the reels doubles as the wild, expanding to fill her reel when she lands. Above the grid sit five volcanoes, each capped with the gem it collects, and the goddess takes a sixth gem of her own.

Four fixed jackpots sit beside the reels at all times, scaling with your stake. MEGA is worth 5,000x, MAJOR 500x, MINOR 50x and MINI 10x. They’re on screen from the first spin, whether or not you’re anywhere near them.
Stakes are set across two pages of bet levels, and holding the spin button opens autoplay.
Random Reveal Symbols
Random Reveal symbols resolve once all five reels have landed, turning into one of the standard symbols across their position. In the base game they can also come up as a Green, Purple, Red, Magenta, Cyan or Flame Gem, and that position then counts as both the revealed symbol and a Gem.
Gems have no other route onto the reels. None of them land directly, ever, which makes Random Reveal the single most important symbol in the game. During free spins a Random Reveal can produce a Volcano instead.

Gem Collection
Each Gem collects to the volcano carrying the matching gem above the reels. Flame Gems are the exception and go to the Amber Goddess at the side instead, which is what separates her feature from the other five.
Action Boost Amber Island 2 Free Spins
Whenever one or more Gems appear there’s a chance the Action Boost Free Spins trigger. Because Gems only arrive through Random Reveal symbols, every bonus starts with one of those resolving.
There’s no threshold to hit and no three-scatter rule. The combination of Gems collected at the moment the feature triggers decides which Action Boost you play. Ten free spins if a Red Gem Action Boost is among them, five for anything else.

The Five Gem Action Boosts
- Green Gem: five free spins. Every reel grows to six symbol positions, taking the grid to 5×6, and 40 paylines are played. Any reel showing a Wild is nudged so that every position on it is Wild.
- Red Gem: ten free spins, and volcanoes award a jewel, a bonus credit prize or a Gem. Jewels build the ladder: six Red Jewels win MEGA, five Purple win MAJOR, four Blue win MINOR and three Green win MINI. Collected jewels for a jackpot reset once it’s paid.
- Purple Gem: five free spins with a random 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier awarded every spin. It applies to line wins and bonus credit prizes, but never to jackpots. Volcanoes can hand back one or two extra free spins.
- Magenta Gem: five free spins, with one random reel per spin becoming a Random Reveal Reel containing nothing but Random Reveal symbols.
- Cyan Gem: five free spins with A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 taken off the reels for the duration.

Multiple Gem Action Boosts
If more than one Action Boost triggers on the same base spin, the free spins run with all of them active at once. Red in the mix still means ten spins to start with, anything else five.
Further Action Boosts triggered inside the bonus add five more free spins each and come into play from the next spin.
The Amber Feature
There’s a sixth gem. Flame Gems appear in the base game only and collect to the Amber Goddess rather than to a volcano. Trigger the Amber Feature and it awards Action Boost Free Spins with a randomly chosen set of the upgrades above.
Bonus Buy
There isn’t one. Action Boost Amber Island 2 carries no bonus buy and no feature purchase of any kind, and the bet menu holds stake levels only. Every bonus has to arrive through a Random Reveal gem.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.3/10
Collection slots usually ask you to learn a rulebook before anything on screen makes sense. This one doesn’t. Every gem does one job, and the skyline tells you which volcano is filling.
The problem is length. Five free spins is barely room for a random multiplier to do anything, and only the Red Gem’s ten-spin round runs long enough to build a jewel run worth watching. Everything worth chasing sits behind one colour, and you don’t get to pick it.
The 5,000x ceiling is the MEGA jackpot rather than a payline outcome, so the top prize here is something you collect instead of something you hit. That suits jackpot hunters far better than max-win chasers.
Fans of the first Amber Island will find this layout instantly readable, and the six-gem spread gives the bonus more shapes than most jackpot slots bother with.
Five volcanoes, six gems, and the eruption you actually want is the one you can’t ask for.
