Base Game & Features
Big Bass Mission Fishin’ is a 5-reel, 3-row Video Slot featuring 10 active pay lines, playable from £.€0.10 per spin, up to a max bet size of £.€250 per spin.
There are 5 High and Low-paying symbols available, with the highest-paying producing wins of up to 200x your bet for a 5-line winning combination. A, K, Q, J, 10, & 9’s make up for all Low-paying symbols. Wilds appear during Free Spins, substituting for all symbols except Scatter and Money (fish) symbols.
Big Bass Mission Fishin’ has a theoretical RTP of 96.50%, a High Volatility rating, and a max win cap of 5,000x your bet. Reel Kingdom has also included lower RTP modules of 95.50% and 94.50%.
Money Symbols
Fish symbols from the paytable also appear with a cash value between 2x and 5,000x your bet. In the base game, Fish money symbols remain inactive, yet they count as a winning combination when 3 or more land from left to right on the reels. Fish money symbols become active during the Free Spins round.
Scatter Modifiers
In the base game, whenever 2 Scatter symbols hit without a third, there is a chance to be awarded another via the following modifiers:
- Scatter symbols can move down one position while all other reels spin.
- A special Hook can pull one of the reels to reveal the third Scatter.
Stack the Cash Feature
The Stack the Cash feature is an alternative option to Free Spins and can be selected when 3 or more Scatters land. When the Stack the Cash feature is active, all regular symbols fade away, leaving only Coin symbols and Blanks in play. The Stack the Cash feature has special Fish Coin symbols featuring a random value between 1x and 25x your bet.
During this feature, beneath each reel, a Robo-Crab appears. The round begins with 4 Respins that reset each time a new Fish Coin symbol hits. All Fish Coin symbols remain in place during this time.
When a reel is filled with Fish Coin symbols, all their values are collected and added to the Robo-Crab for that reel, clearing the entire reel of symbols. When at least 1 new Fish Coin symbol hits, a Bomb drops on a random reel which doubles the values of all Fish Coins and Robo-Crab total.
At the end of the feature, all Robo-Crab amounts are added together and awarded. The round ends when no more Respins are remaining.
Ante Bet
Before or after a game round, you can access the Ante Bet feature for an additional 50% of your current bet. Once active, more Scatter symbols appear on the reels, meaning your chances of triggering Free Spins are higher. (RTP 96.50%)
Bonus Buy
Enter into the secret fishing society via the Bonus Buy option for an additional 100x your bet, where applicable. (RTP 96.50%)
Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10, 15, and 20 Free Spins respectively.
Before the round begins, you will receive a number of Picks to reveal in-game Modifiers for the Free Spins round. Revealing a Boot symbol will end the Pick feature and start the Free Spins round. The following modifiers that can be won are as follows:
- More Fish – Additional fish symbols are present on the reels.
- More Fisherman – Additional Fisherman Wilds are present on the reels.
- More Dynamite, Hooks, & Bazookas – Your chance of hitting Dynamite, Hook, and Bazooka features increases.
- Start from Level 2 – The round begins on Level 2 of the Progression Meter.
- Extra Spins – Awards +2 Free Spins.
During Free Spins, each Fisherman Wild collects the values of all Fish (money) symbols. Fisherman Wilds are collected onto the Progression Meter. Every 4th Fisherman Wild collected awards an additional +10 Free Spins and a Multiplier of x2, x3, and x10 for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd retrigger respectively.
Modifiers
Randomly, during Free Spins, up to 3 special Modifiers can commence on the reels. These are as follows:
- Fisherman Wilds in view without Fish symbols can cause these symbols to be randomly added to certain positions via the Dynamite feature.
- Fish symbols in view without Fisherman Wilds can cause the Hook feature to pull a random reel to reveal a Fisherman Wild.
- Fisherman Wilds in view without Fish symbols can cause the Bazooka feature to transform all symbols (except Fisherman Wilds) into something else.

Conclusion
After Reel Kingdom’s latest failed attempt at growing their Big Bass series, we were a little sceptical when it came to Big Bass Mission Fishin’. Thankfully for us, Reel Kingdom has created a promising instalment, with small yet significant changes to the theme and gameplay that will have fans of the series grinning from ear to ear.
It should be noted that although Reel Kingdom has included a few refreshing features and mechanics, it does have many similarities to all previous titles, most of which can be seen in Free Spins. Will these significant changes be enough to make Big Bass Mission Fishin’ stand out from the rest of the series?
In Big Bass Mission Fishin’, players are given the choice between Free Spins and the Stack the Cash feature, a glorified Hold & Win round. Given that Free Spins is similar to other Big Bass titles, players may feel inclined to go with the Stack the Cash option for a change of pace. Ultimately, it all comes down to personal preference, whether you prefer Free Spins or Respins.
With Reel Kingdom showing no signs of slowing down, we’re confident this isn’t the last time we will face a Big Bass title, but where will Reel Kingdom take the series next we wonder? The possibilities are endless!
