Gobble Gobble Gold Slot Review
A red barn sits on a hill above the reels, autumn trees run gold along a fence line, and a cartoon turkey in a feathered hat grins out from beside the title. Gobble Gobble Gold is that rarest of harvest festivals: one where nearly every prize on the farm is locked inside a single Bonus Game.
Evoplay have built it as a 5×3 game with 20 fixed paylines and an RTP of 96.02%, sitting in their catalogue alongside Piggy Bank: Coinstorm, Honey Royale and Elf Coin Hunt. All four jackpots, including the 3000x GRAND, and all three boosters live behind that bonus round, and the reels outside it are left deliberately lean.
Symbols and Paytable
Ten regular symbols land across the five reels, and wins form left to right on adjacent reels, with only the highest combination per payline paid. The Pilgrim Hat leads the pays and is the only symbol that pays for two of a kind. Here’s the full ladder:
- Pilgrim Hat: 2 pays 0.5x, 3 pays 3x, 4 pays 20x, 5 pays 100x
- Pumpkin: 3 pays 2x, 4 pays 15x, 5 pays 30x
- Pie: 3 pays 2x, 4 pays 10x, 5 pays 20x
- Corn: 3 pays 1x, 4 pays 7x, 5 pays 15x
- Acorn: 3 pays 1x, 4 pays 5x, 5 pays 10x
- A / K: 3 pays 0.5x, 4 pays 1.5x, 5 pays 5x
- Q / J / 10: 3 pays 0.5x, 4 pays 1x, 5 pays 3x
The Wild substitutes for all regular symbols except the Bonus symbols, and it only appears on reels two to five in the main game. That’s the whole of the base-game toolkit: wilds, symbol pays, and the coloured Bonus symbols that carry the values. Everything else this game does happens in its bonus round.
The Bonus Game
Blue, Red and Green Bonus symbols appear only in the main game, and each carries a random value: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 12x or 15x the total bet, or the MINI, MINOR or MAJOR jackpot. Whenever any of them land, there’s a chance the Bonus Game triggers, with the colour determining which booster comes along for the ride.
When it starts, every Bonus symbol from the triggering round turns Gold and locks in place, and the normal reels are replaced with special reels carrying only Gold Bonus symbols and empty spaces. The round begins with three spins, and every new Gold symbol that lands resets the count back to three. It ends when the spins run out or all 15 positions fill.
At that point the values of every Gold symbol on the reels are added up and paid as one total, at the same bet as the triggering spin. Filling the grid is the dream, because 15 Bonus symbols of any type pays the GRAND jackpot outright. Four jackpots are winnable inside the round:
- GRAND: 3000x the bet, for filling all 15 positions
- MAJOR: 350x the bet, via a MAJOR Bonus symbol
- MINOR: 80x the bet, via a MINOR Bonus symbol
- MINI: 35x the bet, via a MINI Bonus symbol
Boosters: xWealth, xReels and xSpins
The colour of the triggering Bonus symbols decides which boosters join the round: Blue brings xReels, Red brings xWealth, and Green brings xSpins. One, two or all three can arrive at once, and they’re what separate a routine collect round from a big one.
xWealth
Each round of the Bonus Game, there’s a chance the values of one to four random Bonus symbols are increased by 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x the total bet. It doesn’t apply to MINI, MINOR or MAJOR jackpot symbols, so the ladder symbols keep their fixed worth.
xReels
This one adds a second bonus field at the start of the feature. Bonus symbols from the bottom field duplicate to the matching positions on the top field, and from there both fields spin independently, with prizes from the two summed into the total win at the end.
Filling all 15 positions on a field pays the GRAND jackpot, and with two fields in play there’s a chance of two GRAND jackpots in a single round. That’s two full grids, two 3000x prizes, one feature.
xSpins
The simplest of the three: the spin count at the start of the Bonus Game rises from three to four. That extra reset margin matters more than it sounds when every new Gold symbol already refreshes the counter.
Bonus Buy
If waiting on coloured Bonus symbols isn’t your style, the Bonus Buy skips the queue and triggers the Bonus Game directly, with your choice of one, two or three boosters. After the purchase, the reels spin and deal out Blue, Red and Green Bonus symbols that start the round, which plays at the total bet of the purchase spin. It’s a main-game-only feature and may not be available in every market.
The three options price up like this:
- One random booster: 35x total bet, RTP 95.99%
- Two random boosters: 44x total bet, RTP 96.14%
- All three boosters: 66x total bet, RTP 96.11%
It’s a tidy pricing structure, in that the two-booster option actually returns slightly more than the natural game while costing well under the full house. The three-booster buy buys the spectacle, not the percentage.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.6/10
This is a game you play for one room. Between Bonus Games there’s little to hold onto: a few wilds, some modest line wins, and the coloured symbols you’re really watching for. The reason to sit down at this table at all is that the round behind the door carries every jackpot and every trick the game knows.
Its best trick is xReels, which is rarer and better than the usual collect-round add-on because a duplicated second field means two shots at a full grid. The lean harvest outside is the honest cost: line play tops out at 100x the bet, so the base game can’t carry a session on its own.
It’s a good fit for players who love the reset-and-collect format and don’t mind spinning through filler to reach it, especially at the two-booster buy. Players who want their wins built on the reels themselves will find the feast here comes once, at the end, and only if the Gold keeps landing.
