Hall of Wealth Slot Review
Embers glow beneath two great bronze bowls in a firelit mead-hall, and Hall of Wealth takes a bolder approach to its gold than most Norse slots bother with: it hands the entire fortune of the game to four gods sitting in a strip above the reels, and lets everything else be furniture. Jelly Entertainment has built a game where the base grid mostly exists to carry you to the one room that matters.
The maths runs at 94% RTP with medium-high volatility, on a 6×4 grid where the ways start at 10,000 and can climb to 38,416, for stakes from €0.20 to €80 a spin. It sits alongside Break the Vault MultiBoost, Diggin for Diamonds 2 and Piggy Staxx in the studio’s catalogue. The hall is warm and the gold is thick; the question is whether the gods guarding it pay their way.
Base Game & Features
Six reels and four rows carry at least 10,000 ways to win, stretching to as many as 38,416 when the reels grow. In its starting shape the middle reels hold five symbols each, and the ways count is the product of those columns: five symbols across four of the six reels, with four on the outer pair, gets you the 10,000 floor. The widening itself comes from the tracker above the middle reels.
Cascading Symbols
Every winning symbol is part of a reaction and is replaced by cascading symbols falling from above. Wins therefore chain: one combination clears, another drops into its place, and the spin keeps going until the grid settles without a win. It’s the same reaction system that runs through the whole game, base and bonus alike.
Top Tracker
A separate tracker row sits above reels two, three, four and five, and it cascades on its own, independently of the reels beneath it. That split matters more than it sounds: the tracker can turn over several times while the main reels hold still, feeding fresh symbols into the gaps a cascade leaves behind.
Wild symbols appear only in this tracker, and each one grows the reel below to six symbols, seven including the tracker itself. That’s what pushes the ways count towards its ceiling, since every extra position multiplies the total. Gods aside, the wild is the only symbol that never shows up on the main grid.
Scatter Symbols
Scatters land only on the main reels, never in the tracker, and five or more of them anywhere in view triggers the respins round. They carry money values of their own, drawn from a fixed prize ladder:
- 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x
- 6x, 8x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x
Anything above 100x can only be reached through boosted values, never by simply landing in view. Loki’s upgrades during Respins are the main route past the top of that ladder, which is where the round’s real money lives.
Paying Symbols
The paytable runs from a ceremonial horn down through Norse creatures and battle gear to five royals, paying left to right for adjacent symbols. The horn is the only symbol that pays for just two of a kind:
- Horn – 0.5x, 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x for two to six of a kind
- Raven – 1x, 2x, 4x and 6x for three to six
- Serpent/Dragon – 0.5x, 1x, 2x and 3x for three to six
- Axe – 0.4x, 0.5x, 1x and 2x for three to six
- A – 0.3x, 0.4x, 0.9x and 1.6x for three to six
- K – 0.3x, 0.4x, 0.8x and 1.5x for three to six
- Q – 0.2x, 0.3x, 0.6x and 1x for three to six
- J – 0.2x, 0.3x, 0.5x and 0.6x for three to six
- 10 – 0.2x, 0.3x, 0.4x and 0.5x for three to six
- 9 – 0.1x, 0.2x, 0.3x and 0.4x for three to six
At the bottom of the table the gap is narrow: a six-of-a-kind of 9s pays 0.4x, barely more than the horn pays for two. The high symbols are where the base game’s money sits, and the horn’s two-of-a-kind entry is the only cheap win on the board.
Hall of Wealth Bonus Features
Valhalla Respins
Five or more scatters anywhere in view carries the triggering screen straight into Valhalla Respins, with the ways locked at whatever the triggering spin showed. Nothing is removed or reset on entry: the scatters that triggered the round stay put as money symbols on the locked grid, and the round plays out on exactly the layout you were looking at.
From there the round runs on a simple loop. Each scatter or god symbol that lands in view awards one extra spin; each spin that lands nothing burns one off the counter; and the round ends when the spins are exhausted. God symbols are the engine of that loop. Four of them, one per tracker reel, each with its own job, and they’re only found in the top tracker. In the base game they turn wild and expand the reels below; during Respins they drop the wild role and work their own abilities instead.
- Odin Booster (reel 5) – Collector: collects the whole value of every money symbol in view, without removing them, and adds it to the total
- Thor Booster (reel 4) – Adder: drops additional money symbols onto the reels at random
- Loki Booster (reel 3) – Booster: upgrades all money symbols to the next amount; above 100x, each boost simply doubles the symbol
- Freya Booster (reel 2) – Reset: puts the spins back to three
Land all four gods in the top tracker at any point and a multiplier wheel unlocks, multiplying the final respins total by x2, x3 or x5 when the round closes. Freya is the one that keeps the door open: a reset late in the round gives Loki another pass at the ladder, and Odin’s no-removal collect means the same money symbols can pay again and again.
Bonus Buy
There’s no waiting involved if you’d rather not. The Valhalla Respins round can be bought outright for 100x the stake, which puts the entry price at €20 at the minimum bet and a substantial €8,000 at the top of the range. The buy panel also states the ways figure for the round you’re purchasing, from the 10,000 minimum up to the 38,416 maximum on a fully grown set of reels.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing Hall of Wealth is a long walk down a handsome hall towards one door, and the gods behind that door are the only reason to make the trip. The base game is pleasant enough – cascades, a wide grid, firelight on carved timber – but it never pretends to be the point.
Valhalla Respins is the strength, and it’s earned. Four gods with four genuinely different jobs means no two rounds play out the same way, and Freya’s reset keeps a dying round alive just often enough to sting beautifully. The weakness is the price of the ticket: 94% RTP on medium-high volatility is a thin return for a game that asks you to wait this long between feasts.
It suits players who like a collect-and-build respins round with real depth, and who don’t mind paying for it in patience. Anyone after a busy base game should look elsewhere. The fire’s lit, the gods are working, and for the right player the hall is worth entering.
