Jumbo Safari Slot Review
It’s time to rumble in the jungle in Reel Kingdom’s latest release, Jumbo Safari!
It’s a rare sight to see Reel Kingdom out of the water, and what we mean by that, of course, is to see them not releasing another big bass series slot. The focus is still on animals, but of the jungle variety, with not a fisherman in sight, though knowing them, we’d not be surprised if he showed up somewhere.
At first glance, Jumbo Safari looks fairly charming, with an anthropomorphic-like portrayal of some jungle favourites. It’s fair to say that Reel Kingdom have not exactly excelled outside of their trademark series, at least in the eyes of our viewers. It looks fairly safe, but we’ll check it out and see if Jumbo Safari holds any big surprises.

Base Game & Features
Jumbo Safari is a standard 5-reel, 3-row Video Slot with 20 fixed pay lines and capped bet sizes between £.€0.20 and £.€60 per spin. This game is classified as a High Volatility slot, offering an overall RTP of 96.52% and a 3,000x max win cap.
Wins occur when 3, 4, or 5 matching symbols land from left to right, starting from reel 1. Each winning sequence will apply a fixed payout between 0.2x and 500x your bet, where applicable. Additionally, Wild symbols appear on all reels and substitute for paytable symbols except Scatters.
Ante Bet & Bonus Buy
- Ante Bet: Increases your chance of triggering the Free Spins mode (2x your bet)
- Free Spins: Instantly access the Free Spins mode, where 3, 4, or 5 Scatters are awarded in the next spin (100x your bet)

Jumbo Safari Slot Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins mode, awarding 15, 30, and 50 Free Spins, respectively. Before the round begins, you will need to pick 1 of 8 Chests to reveal a random High-paying symbol to become stacked on the reels.
Above all reels in this round, special Money symbols represented by each High-paying (animal) symbol are present. Their values begin with the lowest-paying up to the highest as follows:
- Frog: 20x your bet
- Parrot: 20 your bet
- Snake: 20x your bet
- Sloth: 20x your bet
- Crocodile: 30x your bet
- Elephant: 40x your bet
- Tiger: 100x your bet
- Gorilla: 1,000x your bet
When there is not a 5-of-a-kind win in a spin, the values of all Money symbols increase by 0.2x for the frog, parrot, snake, and sloth, whilst the crocodile, elephant, tiger, and gorilla values increase by 1x, 2x, 4x, and 10x, respectively. Alternatively, when a 5-of-a-kind win hits, the respective Money value of the matching animal symbol is awarded.
At the end of the last spin, a Money Value is awarded at random if there is no 5-of-a-kind win throughout the entire round.

Our Honest Verdict
Every so often, Reel Kingdom takes a step back from its beloved Big Bass series and engages us in something entirely different. Jumbo Safari places us amid the jungle in a 5×3 reel setting, where multiple animals can deliver Cash Prizes worth up to 3,000x your bet.
Besides an Ante Bet function, the base game is relatively dry. However, the payouts of high and low-paying symbols are quite appealing, particularly the Gorilla, which can pay up to 500x your bet for a 5-of-a-kind winning sequence. There is also a Bonus Buy option for players outside the UK, fixed at 100x their bet.
Upon entry into Free Spins, you will select 1 Chest to reveal your stacked high-paying symbol throughout the feature, but it does not guarantee stacked wins. During the round itself, each high-paying symbol takes on a progressive money value above the reels.
Creating a 5-of-a-kind win with any high-paying symbol will result in its value being awarded. Even when high-paying symbols do not create a 5-of-a-kind win, their values increase by a fixed amount, with a guaranteed money prize on the last spin if one never occurs. Realistically, when you look at the values, you’re more likely to be awarded one of the lower values, which persist on 4 of the 8 high-paying symbols.
Overall, it’s a game that is lacking in anything properly memorable. Some will find comfort in its light-hearted theme, but we don’t foresee it being a big hit because of its gameplay. We like it when Reel Kingdom shows that they’re not just the ‘Big Bass Bonanza’ guys, but offerings like this don’t enforce that they’re versatile enough.
