Pigster Slot Review
Pigster pays out to its right-hand reel and nowhere else, and that single choice is what makes it worth a look. Every prize in the game, from small awards up to the 4,000x Grand, sits on a reel that never spins for symbols; you can only reach it by building, and that gives even a losing spin a direction. Most ways-to-win slots spread their interest evenly across the grid. This one stacks it all at the far end and makes you walk there.
It’s the work of Atomic Slot Lab, whose Reaper Riches also sits in these archives. The maths runs at medium volatility on a 6×5 grid with 1,875 ways to win and stakes from 0.20, and the RTP is 95.41%, 94.01%, 92.53% or 86.01% depending on the operator’s setting. Whether the walk is worth it depends almost entirely on how much you enjoy watching a chain creep rightwards, one locked symbol at a time.
Base Game & Features
Five of the six reels spin normally. The sixth is a strip of special positions only, with a single extra special position sitting on reel three. Ordinary symbols never land on any of them, which means every spin is quietly aimed at the right-hand side of the screen.
Each special position holds one of six things:
- Minor – a 20x prize
- Major – a 200x prize
- Grand – a 4,000x prize
- Money Value – a random cash amount
- Add Wilds – extra wilds on the grid
- Free Games or Respins – feature entries
Reel three’s special position is the nearer target, and the awards it carries tend to be the smaller feature entries: the Respin symbol lives there, a single step away from the leftmost reels. Reel six carries the richer prizes, but a chain has to cross the entire grid to reach them, touching its way across all five ordinary reels before the big awards unlock.
The wild is a diamond, landing on reels two, three, four and five, and it substitutes for everything in the usual way. That’s its whole job, and it does it without ceremony.
Connect & Collect
Connect & Collect symbols land on any non-special position across reels one to five. The mechanic is simple to read: hit adjacent Connect & Collect symbols, starting from the leftmost reel, touching horizontally or vertically, and the chain grows left to right.
Diagonal neighbours don’t connect, so the shape of the chain matters as much as its length. A chain two symbols high snakes around gaps in the grid; a single-file row needs five clean landings to cross from reel one to reel six. Reach a special position on reel three or reel six and the award sitting in that position pays out.
A chain that travels the full width of the grid can collect several special positions at once, which is where the real money sits. Every award the chain touches pays, so a long link that sweeps the reel six positions can bank a Money Value, a Minor and a Major in a single spin.
Money Values and Bonus Prizes
Money Value symbols take a random value from a fixed set whenever they land, and pay that value when a chain reaches them:
- 2x, 3x, 4x, 6x, 8x
- 10x, 12x, 16x, 20x, 30x
- 40x, 50x, 60x, 80x, 100x
- 120x, 160x, 200x the bet
Those are multiples of your total bet. The three jackpot prizes work the same way, with Major and Grand available only on the reel six special positions:
- Minor – 20x
- Major – 200x
- Grand – 4,000x
Random Awards and the Grand
At the end of any spin, in the base game or the free games, a random award can drop in. There are two shapes it takes:
- Small award – two to six wild and/or Connect & Collect symbols scattered across non-special positions, with wilds restricted to reels two to five
- Large award – six to twelve Connect & Collect symbols added to random non-special positions, enough to build a chain from nothing in a single beat
The smaller award mixes wilds into the drop, so it can finish a ways win as well as feed a chain. The larger one is pure Connect & Collect, scattered anywhere across the five ordinary reels, and it’s the only route to a full-width chain that doesn’t depend on the spin itself.
The GRAND prize can also be won randomly at the end of any base game spin. No skill, no chain, no warning; it simply lands or it doesn’t.
Pigster Free Spins & Bonus Features
Respins
The respin round starts when the Respin symbol lands on the reel three special position, and it runs like this:
- Five respins are awarded, at the same bet as the spin that triggered the feature
- Every Connect & Collect symbol from the initiating spin locks in place, and all other positions on reels one to five respin
- Any Connect & Collect symbols that land during the round lock too, so the chain only ever grows
- The round ends when the respins run out or every special position on reels three and six is connected, at which point all connected awards pay out together
There are no ways wins during the feature, so the round pays strictly through its connections. A spin that opens with Connect & Collect symbols already sitting on reels four and five starts the round two-thirds of the way across the grid, which is why the initiating spin matters even before the respins begin.
If the only special position the chain ever reached is the Respin that started it all, a consolation prize is awarded instead. It’s a soft landing for a round that fizzled, but it’s something.
Free Games
Free Games symbols occupy special positions on reel six, showing one of four values:
- 7 free games
- 10 free games
- 20 free games
- 25 free games
Wins during the round are added to ways wins, and the round’s total is paid once it finishes. In every other respect the free games play like the base game, chains and all, which keeps the round from feeling like a different slot bolted on.
Add Wilds
Add Wilds is the last of the reel six special positions. When a chain reaches it, extra wilds are added to the grid, feeding straight back into the ways wins. It’s the quietest of the special awards, and the one most likely to matter only as part of a chain that collected something better on the way past.

Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.7/10
Playing Pigster is a slow walk to the right edge of a farmyard. You come to it for that walk: a spin that lands three locked symbols across reels four and five already feels like progress, even before it pays anything, and the respin round turns the same feeling into five heartbeats. There’s a real pleasure here that plain scatter-counting slots don’t offer.
Its best trick is the respin round’s one-way ratchet: chains only ever grow, so the round can’t undo its own good start, and a single late landing can connect a sweep of reel six awards at once. Its worst is that everything rides on reaching reel six: there are no ways wins in the respin round, so a chain that stalls short of the far reel pays nothing however promising the start.
This is one for players who like a build rather than a single big hit; the game prints no maximum win, and the 4,000x Grand sits at the top of its ladder. Patient players will find the farm pays better than it looks.
